By far my favorite episode of the entire prep so far, specifically because of the choice to let a lot more of the shots breathe for much longer. And with that, showing more of the raw moments and creating a longer episode. Well done Eric & Cyrus 👏 dream team right there
I’m on the other side. Just ran my first marathon in 4:06:27 four days ago and I’m stoked about it and so fatigued. You are in crazy shape and you’re going to crush Chicago. Thank you for all the inspiration on my first marathon journey 💪💪
Holy cinematography🔥 good luck bro I’ve been following this whole block during my own cross country season, I know you’ll crush it in a few weeks!! You’re the 🐐
Ran a big PB of 2:48 this weekend just gone - your insight and videos were invaluable during my training, so wanted to say a massive thank you. Gunning for low 2:40s next. Keep up the good work fella.
These videos are incredibly motivation. Loved the part with your kiddos too. Cool to see Big Daddy Floberg unboxing the AF3’s with kids picking g favourite colorways.
You’re in some seriously good shape, you’ve kicked on so well since the half… good on you for wrapping up that LR even when it got tough… cotton wool time now!
Keep gcrinding, mate. Given fight circumstances OTQ is def within your abilities. I myself went for sub 2:30 last weekend, ended up doing 2:25 low. Hope to do a proper training block + taper next year and gun for a sub 2:20
Back at it again, this time Peak Week. This is by far the toughest but best week for you. Just amazing work you've put in is amazing and only wish I can be at your level or at least work way up there. Sadly still dealing with runners knee about 3 weeks now and canceled one of my races and might miss CIM just due to not knowing how much longer it would take to recover and prepare for CIM. Kinda worried and disappointed in myself that it has comes to this, all my hard work I was putting into getting a BQ and just goes to waste. Again at least I get to see your progression towards for Chicago, Your fit and ready. Keep up the good work 🎉🎉🎉
@flobergruns no problem and thank you. Yeah your right about that, worse case I still have LA Marathon next year, hopefully that goes well and I'll be better by then if not stronger and faster. Keep up the great work, your amazing and will always support what you do and would also love to try BPN more sometime. Tried 3 flavors and loved the apple one.
Give yourself time to recover - rest really helps. I don’t have much info on runner’s knee personally but in general with all my strains and pulled muscles and general injuries - time has always been the biggest factor with allowing proper rest. Dealing with some calf/knee pain myself I’ve been pulling back on my speed work - that aggravates the pain most and focusing on long runs and 1 speed workout. I took a full week off for personal reasons and that really helped a lot. I’ll be running the Vegas marathon in November, very nervous about how my leg will hold up til then but excited to push for a pr if it works out! :) Cim is still a ways away, listen to your body. I’ll be out there cheering the team I run with - I’ll also be participating in LA again next year as well! Good luck!
I was in the same boat, wanted alphaflys but they were sold out everywhere. Finally tracked down a pair and bought them in blue/orange, within days of me picking them up the pink colourway dropped. I much prefer the pinks
Great video Eric. I have no doubt the fitness is their. I do think Jeff got ahead of himself given the wind. Weather on the day will be everything. Best of luck to you and Matt
I reckon you would get your target time without super shoes. You are an incredible athlete - dedicated, meticulous in your prep and 100% motivated. It would be an interesting experiment to train without a super shoe to see how you get on. All the very best for Chicago. I’ll be cheering you on from Scotland 🏴🙌🏻👏🏻🤟🏻
Super awesome workout to see. Gotta say I'm digging the prototype orange and blue the most, really want to get me a pair of prototype invincible 3's and the burnt orange BPN hat, would be a sick combo 🔥 Really stoked to see you and so many other creators race and produce content on Chicago! The new haircut also looks great, just got one myself, nothing like a fresh cut to get you feeling good and fast 😁
I survived my peak week last week, so it's all downhill from here until race day. For a marathon racer, comfort is pretty important- there are super shoes that are (marginally) faster for me than the Endorphin Pro 4, but the EP4 is a lot more comfortable and supportive when my form starts to break down. Tried the AF3 and wasn't a huge fan.
These, didn't feel too narrow for me, it must just be the way I strike in the front, but also that my second toes are longer than my big toe, so it's probably just my lot in life haha
I'll be running Chicago too and I can't decide whether to go with the Alphafly 3 or the Adios Pro 3. The Alphafly feel faster for sure but they are less confortable for my pace than the Adios Pro 3. Nervous about it
Awesome video….again. If anyone in the comments is doing their final long run on Sunday morning the 6th I am coming from Australia for the marathon and would love to link up with a group for my last long run.
Hey man, I just came across your video as I’m also prepping to hopefully run sub-2:32 for Chicago (PR is 2:35)! If you’re in Corral A and want to pace together, feel free to reach out!

“Yeah I think I actually prefer the other colorway, I’ll probably send these back”

Peak week for me too Floberg. My mate ran 2:31:05 at Berlin. He surpassed his target significantly!
What's your goal?
@@ЯрославКовальчук-и9ьsub 4 lad.
At least 2:31:04 😂

We need the conversion to min/km back! 🙂
A very good week!

Gable Price and Friends + Floberg Runs = vibey running vids
Bro, your ability to puke and run at the same time is elite level!! You're going to crush it!
It's become an art form.
Love the super shoe honesty. I love when a new model comes out as that means half price on previous model for exactly same benefits 😂
I was in the same boat, wanted alphaflys but they were sold out everywhere. Finally tracked down a pair and bought them in blue/orange, within days of me picking them up the pink colourway dropped. I much prefer the pinks

Dang- this vid got me hyped for my 4+ hour marathon. Keep killin it
Let's go!! Keep crushing!
No matter what is your pace. New shoes will always make you faster.
That track workout gave Succession vibes with the stormy back drop and classical music, then transition to the raw audio 🤌
Thanks for putting the series together, good luck, I am running Chicago but not at those paces.
Love the shoe reveal with the kids! They definitely provide objective reviews haha
marathon season babyyyyy
Bro…love the journey. Keep being you homie! I’ll be tracking ya next Sunday. Let’s go!
Beautiful family man, hope you crush the rest of this block and your goal time!
Thanks so much!!
It's all mental, lets get after it!! awesome video

If you feel the part, you will perform the part! Never underestimate how much that works through in your psyche 😃
100%
Impossible to watch one of these without the urge to run like a maniac after
New Subscriber, interesting insight into your training and you are correct in saying getting the latest gear doesn’t have to be the be all.
Brotha! Throwing up while running a 5:37 pace is so elite! 😂 … I’d be hunched over crying then walking back 🥵
Also loving this series. Running a 17 miler tomorrow. Motivating me 🔥🔥
The smile that popped up on my face hearing that bass line for Gable Price and Friends!!! Jams for days i these videos!! ❤
Absolutely love these videos bro.
Insane! That 2:30 gonna come easy!

I think I'm gonna have to go with the protypes and the orange hat. Just too good.
the throw up was my fav part
Video is heat 🔥 I’d only recommend throwing up on dirt side next time lol
yes, the pink purple are the BEST!
I love that you let that footage in here. Marathon training is intense and not pretty. Congratulations I will be rooting for you from Guatemala!

Totally hear you. I may go with Saucony long-term, but definitely still want to try stuff along the way.
@@flobergruns the Asics metaspeed sky Paris is a must try.
Always a good day when you post a video man! You are gonna kill it!
Thank you!!
Yo, the kids are so supportive, incredible.
Btw. your kids are wrong. 😛 Blue/Orange is EASILY the best colorway of the Alphafly 3.
Hahahaha I think I may go Blue & Orange
Purple grape colourway for me
@4:40 mark - you’re only capable of what you allow yourself to believe. Keep stacking
Good luck in Chicago! I'm running Poznan Marathon the same day. 🏃♂️🙂
Best of luck!!
Shoutout to Cyrus for patiently waiting outside the porta potty to get that shot. See y'all in Chicago in 11 days!!!!!
hahahaah he's truly the goat
I think I saw myself at 26:20 at the CARA station! Great effort!
Never seen someone make throwing up look so effortlessly smooth..
Wow, such a motivating video! You're gonna go under 2:30 fs, good luck for next wknd!
Thank you!!
we better be getting a "Banners are up" track soon
Great episode!
White & Pink!
I would love to try the alpha and or vapor flys, but my feet are too wide 😭😭
Been enjoying your Chicago lead ups!
I love the kids reaction just being straight up. haha but it is that cool he'll learn
RE toes - I've heard the vaporflys are a bit wider. I like my metaspeeds for the toe box and they are good with my supination

It's time baby!
Are you taking out original insoles in AF3 and putting in your personal ones?
I'm curious if you've thought about taking less gels to help with being nauseous. Maybe too much of a good thing?
Try the Adios pro 4 for the next big workout in the next big block?
Maybe!
so... for your 23 mile LR at that intensity you've only got the single hand-held bottle for hydration? are you getting a refill anywhere mid-route?
ah i asked too soon.. I see the swap at 25:53
Another great video!! You’ve got an army of people supporting you from a far.
How come no arm HR sensor for the 23 miler?
I forgot it at home...I charged it overnight, and then completely forgot to grab it haha - will not make that mistake on race day!
@@flobergruns already hyped for the race day video
the puke while running -> gu chaser was wildddd. THAT'S how you know you're fit
I hit this workout 21 miles at 6:15/mi avg shooting for 2:35 marathon. Then I ended up injured the week after
Hey man, I just came across your video as I’m also prepping to hopefully run sub-2:32 for Chicago (PR is 2:35)! If you’re in Corral A and want to pace together, feel free to reach out!
keep grinding man , strong
LEt's go, dude! Good luck!
just me or whenm i ran with plated shoes on track the plate actually starts digging into feet maybe too much weight or something
AF3 gave me shin splints.. Far too firm at the front. Also puked at mile 25 in Berlin, so know the feeling lol
It has all been pointing to an OTQ... I am so hype to see the journey to 2028!!
Nice work and content
How many miles can you put on a race shoe before you need a fresh pair?
Gotta agree with the kiddos. White and pink are 🔥
Now you added to my fear of Pota-Johns: being attacked by the door!😅
damn, I really want one of those moving still posters
How do you like the on cloudeclipse?
Puking mid-run is absolutely crazy.
Good luck my friend, great video.
Thank you!!
Curious, why don't you manually split track workouts? Just preference?
13:53 voice of an angel 😂
Be about it. Love it.
Dude, can ou please do a Q&A (pre-sent questions or something)
So you are open to the possibility that you will qualify to the Olympics in a couple of years?
No, Olympic Trials. Very different. OTQ is
He needs to go even faster than Bester who just did a sub 2:20 at Berlin.
what color are the tuesday workout half tights?
crazy noise, perfect shoe
Why are you doing your run so early? Nice content keep it up!
I'm a dad, and we had family plans at 10am :)
Tough conditions, but you looked good. Fitness is crazy.
How old is this guy?
Great video. And your kids are hilariously blunt
You have better form throwing up than me trying my best…

you got this! 🤜🤛
I thought you were sponsored or supported by On?
They just send me shoes! I almost always race in Sauconys :) Don't know if I want to commit to one brand as of now.
But also, I think the difference between super shoes is pretty marginal across the board haha
“Flo one Mo”
What is the OTQ!?!??!
Olympic Trial Qualifyer
Olympic trial qualifier. 2:18 for the last Olympics.
