Ulike was a bit too much on the bank. Can you review the SkinGenics IPL? That’s the one I have and so far I see amazing results and it was a lot more affordable ❤️
It’s only $250 since there are always discount codes to use. If that’s too much on the bank for you, you have much bigger problems than hair removal my friend 😢
I will say, I have very sensitive skin, and while mostly it doesn't hurt, the cooling doesn't quite stop the "zap" of heat from being irritating on the most sensitive areas of skin. Particularly, my chin area and creases of my armpits, it's noticeable and kinda hurts but mostly I don't feel much. It can get pretty hot quickly though, so be sure you shut it off and take a break if it's getting too hot. The forced air out the side can be pretty hot. I just got my ulike air 3 and I've used it about 4 times, I think? Too early to judge but overall, I'm pleased with the cooling and auto-pulse setting it features.
I just got my 13th IPL hair removal treatment and the results have been getting worse; the hair seems to be growing back faster and thicker than before. This is unfortunately a common occurrence and should be talked about more.
I tried this! My recommendation is do not purchase it! I’ve been using it for almost 6 months every other day. It takes about 1.5hrs out of my day to do my whole body and after 6 months the hair growth is almost the same. The difference is hardly noticeable. My hair still grows back thick and dark within a day or two. You would think that after this long, you could see a bigger difference. At this point I would advise to not waste your money and time on this and just get it done professionally.
Girl don’t lie to me cuz I’m so easily influenced. I can’t afford laser hair removal at clinic because it’s so painful and also expensive. I’ll trust you.
Cancer is damage skin cells. With products like this it's obvious it can alter and change your cells so they can't say no it will not cause cancer. But they will not say yes. However alit of things we do in life causes cancer... the food we eat and drink and what we do in life.

@DannyG2035 So far I have been using it for 6 weeks as directed and I'm still not seeing the results everyone is speaking of. In some areas there is no thinning much less hair free appearance. I think I'm going to return the IPL device
@@krystal8952 I hope you do before it's too late. I still haven't found any legit reviews saying that IPL devices work. Every single good review is sponsored smh. I guess we have to wait until the next big thing pops up.
Dr Lim, will this device be effective on HIRSUTISM specifically? I have a patch of hirsutism on my under-chin area due to Cushings Disease and pheochromacytoma tumors. I just bought this device and I am PRAYING it’ll actually help.
Dr. Lim, I bought this per your recommendation. I read the directions and test patched a spot on the side of my neck. I was wearing the IPL glasses as tightly to my eyes as possible, but I could still see it pretty strongly and there is a small gap in coverage with the glasses given they aren't goggles. Are the IPL glasses safe enough? My eyes feel slightly odd after like an old fashioned camera flash.
Im no expert but I have an ipl I bought online. It also came with glasses. But the instructions also specify that you should not be looking directly at the light even with the glasses on. So try positioning the Lazer and then look away before you flash the light. It makes the process a tad more complicated but I feel like the extra precaution is necessary.
@@daniellacseccxcsciences7461 I agree. I've only looked at it by accident while it was pressed against my skin and wearing the glasses. It was disturbingly bright even then. I'm a bit afraid of treating myself again knowing during the tedious use of it I accidentally look in the direction of it, even while using it flat on the skin. @@younggclassicc7833 once you have used please update me. I would love to know the outcome. I'm so scared after my bad experience with prior treatments but I want to get rid of my facial hair for good.
I am not an expert, but I think it will burn the skin too if you have dark skin, because the contrast is less clear, so the light will burn anything that has dark tones
If you go to a real doctor to have an IPL, they will tell you that IPL can make your skin extremely sensitive to the sun. Even the light coming through your car window can cause serious hyperpigmentation on your face up to 9 months after treatment. For those of us that may be outdoorsy, consider that this may not be the best time of year to start this treatment on any area that may be exposed to the sun. I think it is very irresponsible for a physician to peddle this item without sharing the serious potential consequences of using it. Also, it may not work for everyone, and a rare few individuals will get hyperpigmentation that does not go away or faster and thicker hair growth. It may only be true for a few individuals, but if you are one of those people, it’s devastating. Go to a salon and schedule a treatment, have them patch test an area of your skin to see how your skin reacts, before using this on your whole body.
At home IPL may be less effective on darker skin tones. But professionals have access to different types of lasers that are better suited for different hair types and skin colors. But yes it’s safe.
After I spent money on the first one, that you must lift off the skin every time to use the flash, which if not careful, you get blinded by the light, that your eyes just seems to find. I want a refund!
