    hello Miss Heck. please help. 94-year-old grandma fell down and scratched her ankle. now it's turned into a really nasty infection that she can barely walk on the doctors have been playing around for her for 3 months trying to give her all kinds of antibiotics and nothing is working. she's in great health always has been strong never sick of day in her life. and she's so tired of going to doctors. I thought I might make her a poultice I've used them before and they've helped. it's springtime in Central Texas and everything we have is an abundance. do you have a recommendation for a combination to help fight the infection and draw out the pus from under the scab? I'm not going to hold you to it I'm just looking for some ideas

    Left out tooth ache. Great for toothache or before and after root canal and extraction. MUCH more effective than antibiotics and you don't get that let down when you end treatment because your gut biome is still intact. My ribwort plantain looks way different than yours. So does my broadleaf plantain. Ribwort likes the rainy cooler seasons around here. Doesn't do well in the hot dry summer and tends to rot and die if you water it during summer. Maybe needs new seedlings if you are summer watering.

    • @OWK000
      @OWK000 2 года назад

      @@iceink I repeat, much more effective than antibiotics! I have experienced both antibiotics and herbs both after and before in office dental care. Don't knock it! The fresh or wilted leaves of the plantain are incredible and very common--not weird. They even grow in cracks in the sidewalk. Yeah, you want to try to find the leaves that didn't get peed on, or stepped on, but even those would probably work in a pinch, although I would wash them off first. I talked to a welfare dentist that assured me that many of his clients take their health into their own hands and use herbs on their gums. He also often refused antibiotics to his clients. Antibiotics are so overused these days that they don't work well anymore, anyway. You are better off finding other means.

It is a drawing herb. Change it out, now and then. You will be amazed at the results. I have used antibiotics and the plantain at different dental emergencies and the plantain works much better than the antibiotics. I use the lanceolata. We have both the major and the laceolata where I live, abeit mainly during rainy season. The major might survive watering during our dry summers better. You see it in lawns sometimes. You can make it as a tea, safe to drink daily. You can dry it and set it aside to make tea in other seasons. You can eat it boiled or steamed like a vegetable. Create a oil infusion then you would melt down something like beeswax to mix the oil with and let that dry in a container

      Fill a jar with the plantain leaves. The bigger leaves have more “medicine” in them. Cover the leaves with olive oil, shake every day, keep in a dark cabinet. In about 4 weeks, you can strain out the plant material and put the oil in a double boiler ( or in a glass or stainless steel bowl placed in a pot of water. Put in about one ounce of beeswax to each cup of oil. Stir until melted and blended. There are vegan alternatives to beeswax. You can use coconut oil but it is mushy in hot weather.
      You can also just strain it and keep it in a jar, use it straight out of there. The wax sets it up but it isn’t absolutely necessary.

    please make sure you are not allergic to this plant. It is a very common allergy. common enough it is on the skin allergy test given by doctor. people like me are profoundly allergic and will die if i eat it. when put on my skin it is so painful to just even slightly touch skin. so please please please make sure you are not allergic.

      Interesting. Im allergic/sensitive to almost everything and I was going to try this! I'll do a skin test first Im glad I saw your comment.

      @@maugoddess very good idea. I really wish I wasn't allergic to it. I didn't know for years what was making my skin hurt from outside gardening. Then I did allergy test and realized how much of this was in my yard and garden. Definitely safer to test on skin or even broken skin. Then if all good, try a salve on lips. Way better to test multiple ways before ingesting.
