anybody else here not giving a fuck where the rappers are from? i've seen battles from basementality, grindtimenow, dontflop and kotd and i'm just happy to see that amount of talent... appreciate the artists and the movement instead of bullshitting around :) at least we all can agree that any guy you can hear in any league deserves more respect than most successful "rappers" :)
. It appeals to me more than the G-Funk or whatever you call it you get in the West Coast- although I do listen to some West Coast once in a while. Overall though, the further East the better for me. I've listened to JMT, AOTP, I love a lot of B.I.G, I like Ill Bill, Wu Tang (Meth&Deck in particular), some Lupe. Mos Def, Mobb Deep, Nas and lately I've started looking at Kool G Rap. I enjoy East Coast rap. Also, gotta admit I grew up with Eminem so his older stuff in particular I still love.

I don't understand why people can't just enjoy the battle for what it is? Who cares if their style clashes? The crowd was responding to both - even though it was clear that there was a home advantage. It isn't nearly as bad as American crowds! I got mad respect for both Philly and ZM because it takes balls to challenge battle rappers who are more joke orientated - especially when they have a more traditional/hardcore style. And stop bitching about gun bars. They're common in America and apart of every day life for the majority of their citizens. I guess Brits can rap about the weather or teenage pregnancy in the same way if they felt like being creative :)
