Not only that, most of the time the tampers are 1 or 2 mm smaller than the basket so your grounds squeeze out from the sides. I swear, manufacturers do it just for the laugh.
I don’t know if that’s necessarily what they originally made it for. I think they were just making a more “affordable” espresso machine for those that want high-quality espresso/espresso based drinks at home. The commercial size machines are overkill for any person who wants it at home you know ?

Im sure you get the premium you pay for cuz these things are basically tanks but lots of alternatives with more features at a lower pricepoint. Im guessing you pay for build, design, and commercial power. Its a shame it has no pressure profiling and direct temp adjustment ( you need an app for that and wifi so no wifi no temp adjustment). Big famous brand in espresso industry, and they reach out to most of the famous coffee related youtubers as marketing campaign. (Unlike their other products) maybe that's why the price is high.
Have you removed the water reservoir for cleaning or dumping water? Is there a easy way. Hose seems like it would wear over time if constantly removed.
