Bunk click-bait from the bunk heads at ESPN. The network is virtually unwatchable at this point unless a game or match is on.
Great schedule this: Cowboys, Rams, Bucs, 49ers, Packers twice - lots of interesting story lines, plenty of time to make these knuckleheads chew on their BS.
It’s a lazy narrative on Goff from people who haven’t watched him the last few years.
He is top 10 in the right system. The Lions as a group are top 10. I agree that Ben Johnson and coaching is a big part of his success but so what. If we can keep this group together we should be successful.
ESPN is down on the Lions. Cool. I'd be worried if they gave them a high grade. Same goes for Sports Illustrated. Both are generally so far off in their predictions and analysis it's not even laughable anymore. ESPN has kept Mel Kiper employed for decades. The defense rests. As for Goff, the guy wins. Bottom line. He wins in the regular season, he wins in the playoffs, and F mcvay. That guy is a punk. I saw the favorable refiing that went on when L.A. won their Super Bowl.
That entire season was a staged event that started with that; "oh, funny meeting you here," moment mcavy and Stafford had in some vacation getaway in the off-season, before the Lions had traded him. Coincidence my ass. Talk about tampering. Then the media love for Stafford started coming from guys who used to slam him, guys like steven a smith who called him the most overrated and overpaid QB in the game suddenly had mad respect for him. There were predictions he might be the first QB to throw for 6,000 yards and 50 TDs. And the non-calls and ticky-tacky PI's in the playoffs? Give me a break. The suits in New York were gonna do everything in their power to sell the NFL in L.A and the word was out league wide for everyone to get on board with the program. This is their last shot at making football work in that market and I think within 10 years it will bomb, just like it always has out there. L.A. is a baseball and basketball town, period.
What did mcvay do when his team crapped the bed the following season? He started whining and publicly speculating about quitting. The guy is an a-hole and even before Goff got traded here I thought mavay tossing him under the bus was as Mickey Mouse as it gets. F the Rams, F mcvay, and lately the way Stafford and his wife have been whining F them too. I hope we beat the sh*t out of them so hard Stafford never wants to play the Lions again. Please, keep disrespecting guys like Goff and St. Brown. It's like adding ether to the mix of a highly tuned engine.

Goff is a winner who fits the TEAM, most of these boneheads have never played and don’t understand the essence of what makes this team different and, as a long time lions fan, I love it as much as the Lions winning. Bring on the idiot haters!
This doesn’t bother me because I believe Goff is a smart QB that can read the defense and make positive adjustments. Also, he has beaten MaHomes twice and ended Rogers career in Green Bay. Let’s Go Lions!
Almost all of your top ten QB haves less playoffs wins than Goff. Plus Stafford didn't win Superbowl it's was rams defense
Top 10 easy, im a biased homer but outside of Mahomes Allen and Burrow you can argue Goff over any of the names that come up next. Herbert, meh he's always making a big mistake in big moments. Lamar, why cause he can run? Stafford, hes already done more here than Matt ever could. I argue hes in the top 5 these days. People still imagine him as the guy who struggled in the superbowl against the pats. He's a totally different QB now. Dude is legit!!

He also had a vastly superior team than Stafford ever had. He had a vastly better offensive line and running game than Stafford ever had you dolt. Goff has had better coaches and a better front office than Stafford did. Stafford's is better in every way.

Everyone knows what Goff is. Lions fans love to claim that the people giving him negative grades haven't watched him. Stop being lazy and open your eyes. Goff isn't top ten. He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt when we've all seen him play numerous times on the big stage. He's been on two teams that have gotten national coverage while he's been around. The difference is that it's not because Goff is amazing. It's because the two organizations that he's been a part of have built such a tremendous team around him. Rams and Lions. Lions fans are saying that he's nice, and they use that to bolster their argument, lol. Clowns. Lions fans love to forget that Goff was horrific in his first year and a half here. Horrific. His record and his play were absolutely terrible. Ben Johnson helped him be a near top 10 player. He still isn't top ten. Get over it. His team is ridiculously good, and that masks his play. Which is above average to good. That's it. Nothing wrong with being an above average to good QB. LIONS fans should be transferring all the love for Goff to Brad Holmes and Campbell for drafting appropriately and somehow building this team in basically two years. Give Johnson credit for transforming the offense and being an amazing offensive coordinator. No Goff hate here, just using my eyes. People are using history and their eyes.
