Weisswurst with Ketchup and normal mustard 😮 dont ask for that in Bavaria! you can only eat it with sweet mustard

German and Irish descendants in the U.S. are generally the top 2 European populations by number. So, it would not be a stretch to say that the is a German community in every State. Wisconsin, North & South Dakota list over 35% of the general population with German Ancestry. The Texas Hill Country has some of the earliest Southern U.S. German settlements and still possesses a very vibrant Deutsche-centric feel. (ie: Fredericksburg, Boerne, etc.) That's probably the reason for so much stellar B-B-Q. I love me some real German vinegar based potato salad as well Phil. My Great Grandfather immigrated to the US in 1893 to the Great Lakes region and then slowly migrated to Texas for the abundant farmland. I really enjoy youze guy's vlogs. Always entertaining. I tend to be pretty wary of places that claim to be the "whatever" capital of the country, often too much emphasis on tourist rather than authenticity. The best German/Bavarian food I have found have been in places with a large German/Bavarian immigrant community. Places like Dallas/Ft Worth or Houston, TX and Huntsville, AL. I am 100% in agreement, vinegar or mustard based potato salad over mayo based. I really don't like mayo based. Also, I disagree about liking sauerkraut but I do prefer naturally fermented over vinegar based.
