    My guesses are as follows:
    The low hanging fruit is that production of the KTR's will resume at some point in the future. Which would be welcome news, I would buy one for $270 without a second thought.
    Since there were two KTR's in the instagram video that he was planning on switching between I think he's probably announcing that a small change that only he can hear is being made to future KTR's. Considering that Bill seems manic about his tone in the pedal I highly doubt that the typical guitarist could tell the difference.
    My hopes are as follows:
    That he's looking into a more mass manufacture-friendly way into producing the Klon, with a larger manufacturer (Wampler, JHS, come to mind) at perhaps a slight tone loss. Again, this would be a Bill Finnegan slight tone loss, which I highly doubt I would be able to tell the difference... but ideally the trade off would be that they are more available and cheaper, because while I'd shell out $270 for a KTR no questions asked I'd also jump at say a $100 version. Heck I might get two of those.
    That he's going to look at producing more YT oriented content talking about pedal building. He's expressed a reluctance to release new products, because they'd get ripped off and cut him out of profit on his own designs, but I can't tell you how many people would jump to do a Bill Finnegan pedal building course.

      Hey thanks, and thanks for being one of the only commenters on the Abracadabra video…. It’s low key broken my heart that YT doesn’t seem down with the whole pedals vs Pokémon concept and I had a lot of emotional eggs in that basket.
      I’ve developed a concept for the next 5 or so videos to focus on the Klon as part of a larger move to grow the channel (that this news about Klon LLC has come out is a happy coincidence, I’ve started filming 3 of them, the first one is like half done) I’d love your thoughts on them when they come out…. As well as any suggestions to keep things interesting!

    If you play electric and do a decent amount of strumming, you have to have at the least a solid clean tone unless you use your guitar volume a lot (no thanks for me). To do that you need a pedal like the Klon. Especially if your amp has 2 clean channels (& no dirt channel)like a Vox or a Fender deluxe reverb. You will need that sound of the amp at 6 to 7 or higher at some point (at your feet). The klon is a great pedal for this and it cheats very little on the eq. when it does chest, it adds a nice mid range punch, but retains the transparency. It’s great and doesn’t have all the hype of a tubescreamer. Plus it’s a great pedal for gain stacking. put it behind a Tone Bender Fuzz for a great lead sound.

      Oh yeah, I use it as a pre-amp (mostly clean, kinda dirty) a lot, as such it’s generally the last pedal of my dirts before going to other effects. I have some videos I’m working on that will be exploring how to use it, like you said the boost on it is super transparent- like literally just your clean signal being used to over drive the amp.
      I mainly use a Supro now, but you might notice that Fender Dual Showman behind me (the face plate got replaced with a normal showman face plate) - that was my first big boy amp after trying my favorite pedal combos out with a ton of amps.

      Thanks man! After watching Pat Finnerty make jokes about how all the gear RUclipsrs did it I realized I didn’t and needed to rectify the set up. The space I do the videos in is super tiny, I wish I could get a better perspective, but after a couple days of dicking with it this was the best shot I could come up with.

    Loving the new background with pedals featured, is that all your pedals?

    • @BGBSATX
      @BGBSATX  3 года назад

      Close to it, I do have almost all of my pedals on that little bookshelf, but there’s also 2-3 layers of pedals on each level, like behind the bananana aberacadbra there’s two other pedals behind it, same for the mosky goldenhorse…. Also 2-3 shelves under what the camera sees, all full of pedals.
      Aside from looking nicer for videos it’s also way easier for finding the pedals instead of keeping them in a big plastic bin.

      Thanks man! This videos was a quickie because the news is still super fresh, but I’m actually trying to take the channel to the “next level” with the next handful of videos where I’ll fatefully be focusing on the Klon (using my Wish Klones, lol) as how you’re even supposed to use it involves understanding a bit about how these electronics work…. The Klon is a surprisingly good vehicle for talking about multiple topics! I’ll still be doing the pedals reviews and shenanigans, but I’m changing gears slightly to focus on growth right now.

      Yeah, this is how I feel about it, but it seems like he’s sure no mass production (or few) models could maintain the quality of sound… and he’s so tied to maintaining it that he won’t do it.
      Like I appreciate his commitment to the sound, but I always remember Eric Johnsons’s quote “yeah, I can tell the difference, but once the drums come in who cares”

    Most over rated, over priced pedal ever made. It doesn't even sound that great.

    • @BGBSATX
      @BGBSATX  3 года назад

      I definitely agree that the originals are over priced, but they are by no means unique in that regard- my Pedal Stonks videos cover other pedals who’s prices have sky rocketed. Like, the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face andIbanez tube screamer 10, they both are easy examples of pedals where the prices became less about the players and more about the collectors (more so than Klons) and there are tons more. Like I said in the video, I could see myself buying a Klon for $400, the last price Bill Finnegan sold it at no problem, and that’s just for the pedal. When my collector brain turns on I could go up to $1000, but beyond that, like most pedals of this stature, the price jumps the shark.
      Now, overrated? Like, I know there’s no accounting for taste and if you don’t like the built in break up sound of the Klon that’s a totally legitimate opinion… but there a lot going on in the Klon, and the sound of its breakup is just one element of it. This is why my next handful of videos are looking to explore the Klon and related topics, while it’s certainly not for everyone there’s some cool stuff going on here in my opinion.
      To be clear, unless Bill Finnegan decides to gift me a Klon there’s no way in hell I’m getting one. I’m pretty strictly a Klone user… if the news is about getting KTR’s out again I’ll try to pick one up for under $300.
