    Just gotta love those SD40's they are a great engine for so many uses. Watch the "Pemberton Pushers" in BCR land, four SD40's as helpers.

    That Pan Am SD40-2 recently exploded while on the head end of a train in Maine. It had an oil line leak into the turbo charger, which made it go boom.

    I wonder if PanAm Railways is missing #608 Loco??? Being June 2020 and all... Well, the description mentions that #608 SD40-2 is DISABLED! Actually, where I live in MA now, MEC/GRS/PanAm Railways switches in E Deerfield Yard. Come to mention it, I've not seen #608 passing through E Deerfield in the last 4 years...

    A couple questions
    The two Rail Box cars at 10:22 had different reporting marks on them: TBOX and FBOX. Are they leased by different companies?
    PanAm Railways was New England Central at one time, correct?

  • @davebolyard6808
    @davebolyard6808 7 лет назад

    I thought pan am was a airline but right at the front of this video is engine Pan Am 608
    what size is that engine? Dave

    • @Trains21
      @Trains21  7 лет назад +2

      Yes, they were.. But they went under decades ago and Timothy Mellon, owner of Guilford Transportation bought the name, logo and colors and began using on his engines and also renamed the railroad Pan Am Railways.

      One doesn't need to trespass to video yard action.. Some yards has public streets or county roads that one can watch, take photos or video from.
      Of course in some cases zoom can be your friend.
