I've had my A7 for about two years. I have no issues with it. I'm also aware of what I have it for, and I am fine with that.
Nope, this comment is simply incorrect at least in my testing. My version of my Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 3 GB RAM 32 GB Storage has been very very slow ever since I bought it. Navagating the One UI 6.0 on this tablet has been very slow and laggy. I mean like even closing the app takes like 10 seconds before I got to a black screen and it gets stuck on it for a few more seconds. The A7 Lite has overall been a pain to even use and although this is a budget tablet, it dosen't even make sense why navigating the UI is very slow and laggy. Believe it or not, I am watching and writing the comments on RUclips on this tablet.
@@jett_wu the comment is not incorrect, it was and is a personal opinion and facts. As previously stated, this is NOT a top tier tablet. I have had a better experience after the update. You may have a defective device or bad internet connectivity. If you are not satisfied with your A7, then simply purchase the A9 + or the new 2024 S6 Lite.

I had this tablet since my 12th birthday from December 2021. I wish I told my dad to buy the 62 gigabyte model because I think more space on a device was worth it. But it also costed 50 dollars more then what my dad paid. I still enjoy this tablet in 2024 and one of my favorite best features about this is that my dad brought it for 170 dollars, which is not bad considering it was the cheapest price then my other Samsung tablets i had in the past were 200 dollars or more. I currently updated it to One UI 6 and Android 14 and it works very well. But the new navigation in One UI 6 is a bit tough to handle but hopefully, I'll get used to it as I did with the old One UI. On my older Samsung tablets, I didn't get that much software updates and I was getting tired of using the same UI over again. This tablet gave me the chance to update the software. I use my tablet mostly for entertainment, playing games and calling my family or friends because I don't have a phone yet. I enjoy using it everyday as my main device. I STILL love it after 2 years of using it :D I think its a great tablet if you're looking to buy a tablet for wok, play or entertainment.
Me too I also got this exact same tablet but a bit different because I got it on my 10th birthday and on December 23rd!

Hah, I didn't even know there was an A9 Lite release. I have the A7 Lite. I was unfortunately never really blown out by it. I don't think it really aged well, either. With that said, I may still pick this up down the road just to have it, but between the iPad Mini and the Lenovo Legion 2023 release, I am pretty happy with with my 8 inch tablet space.
it's not A9 Lite that's the base A9. The succesor to the A8 is the A9+

I got an A7 lite in 2021. It's held up over the years but from day one, it's super slow and lags. Because of that, it's mainly used to watch Netflix now lol. The pro would be the battery life
It can't even load a basic html page on chrome without freezing 😅 takes forever to respond after restarting One UI 6 killed it anymore updates will destroy it sad really but going from spec's this tab has I ain't surprised sometimes works OK but rare
I have the 3/32 version initially hoping to read PDF manga, but it's too slow to open large files. So, I gived my mom just for watching Netflix
What is a good way to get into pdf manga? I can never find a good way to get any manga, let alone a good way to read them.
@@1700korn manga usually uses the cbz format. Readera works fine on the a7

How? Its slow after bootup keyboard lags chrome finds it hard to load most sites fast and specs are absolutely dog shite Samsung couldn't even use in house parts had to use a crappy old skool mediatek

For light games and everything else you said it will get the job done though its garbage at heavy gaming and it will be super laggy if you install to many apps

Thanks for the review. This is the top-tier "reward" in the Marlboro rewards program, and I was wondering if it would be worth all the points I saved up. Between this video, the comments below, and my not being sure what I would even use a tablet for, I'm going to give it a pass.
Super laggy, slow to charge, slow to turn on, apps load slowly and often crash, generally pretty rubbish. However it is cheap and screen is good enough for Netflix etc. If just using for media content is OK once you get passed the difficulty getting content on it due to lag etc. Turn of all notifications and delete everything you don't need and it will be OK.
If your looking at Samsung tablets as i am . For me its the built-in best gps ,glonass etc wi fi models and lte models you gain a-gps, glonass etc. For navigation. You dont need data service for the feature or an external device as you would with other brands.
So, if your wanting an 8" tablet this is it. The only other newer version than this tablet and the olderTab A is the A9. Which is unfortunately offered to the USA as an international version . 10.4 in Tab A8 is the next budget sized newer tablet. Wish Samsung would not leave us out of the smaller models 8" 8.7" etc.
i rooted it and debloated it and it works fine for watching youtube and playing basic games (besides the low storage as i have the 32gb model, but i got an used sd card for free from a family member that didnt use it)

I have the 4gb ram for this and been using more than two years still going fine for light usage and playing OSRS on. Great size especially for traveling, a little laggy but for price point can't complain
I have this for about 2 years, its fine but the apps are now really starting to struggle.
On the 32gb model you can't update cod mobile because there's no space for the update, have to uninstall it and reinstall it every time, memory card is pointless when most apps can't be installed to it on this tablet.
Try to move it now with the Android 14 update.
I just need a fairly cheap tablet, to watch videos. Nothing more. Think I may just get this one.

Honor pad x9, instead of samsung a9+, my young en has this pad in the video, It struggles to play some games and the screen display is quite poor,
I love This tablet, It can make automatic Actions. You can set up a way how you could get it to be fast. Mine charges to full only in 2 hours.

It should be fine! I have an iPad but I bought this to semi replace my iPod. Not as easy to navigate in my opinion as Apple but it’s more than adequate for everyday!

i own the a8 and the ipad mini 6. and i would not recomend the a8 or a7. where i live i spent like 270 on a8 and ipad mini 6 was like 600 and it was worlds better for everything camera and work. i put the a8 on shelf and dont use it. me personally i think it's worth it to dish out the little bit of extra money on a table to get something like the ipad mini6 which is still pretty price efficient for it's power and still large enough to be very useable and yet small enough to be comfortable. as far as earbuds i'm the opposite, cheap jlab pop earbuds despite being very cheap are very very very very good. so not all the time i recommend dish out more money but in my opininion with tablets as far as ipad mini 6 i think it is worth it to dish out a little extra money.
i DO recommend using BOTH apple and samsung, why because samsung still does certain things better like file transfer of raw documents and raw music the actual files. apples forces it's users to use cloud services and blocks file transfer. so i i use my ipad for more work related stuff camera photo editing typing documents speechify audio books etc etc. i use my samsung for more music related stuff.
there is a perk of 2 apple products as they sync together better though. still alot of apps i use on apple still transfer to my samsung not all of them though. speechify is a big one i use and it transfers to both devices is an example.
another reason i don't use my a8 is the size of the screen it is just big enough to be uncomfortable for me to carry it around and to use it, but still doesn't give the laptop experience. where as the ipad mini6 is comfortable for me to use it, and to carry it around, and while still being very impressively powerful in certain things it does.
at best i used tab a8 to edit google documents which is not often any more and the a8 can do it.
i also learned to NOT carry my laptop around with me any more, minor bumps speeds up how much the laptop ages internal parts start not working as well and more likely to lag or slow down as a laptop or to glitch. so to take better care of my laptops i leave them at home. they also require extensive amount of power to run and i am gone from home weeks at a time, and tablets for me are far better for traveling.

This is what I use it for. Ok for that. Just load stuff in advance as takes a while for apps to load etc.
I got it as a bedside replacement for audiobooks at night. I find it terrible to navigate!
Samsung we need an galaxy tab s mini, most arent satisfied with a budget tablet, we need a small flagship with s pen and flagship specs. Hope it changes in tab s10 line, S10 Mini S10 S10 Plus S10 Ultra
Tab a7 is a great tab, but for someone who hold it all the time to read manga. It was heavy for me! I'm gald I bought the other verison tab a9 its lighter and very happy with it.
if u really need storage don't get the 32gb version but it does function if u are a student who uses it for basic tasks during a business course... i think i will get the more advanced a9 plus once this one breaks down on its own tho...

I would skip this now. Its processor is slow and even on basic social media and surfing there are some stutters. Better get the newer Tab A9. The performance is night and day between the two and its not that expensive.

A9 never released in US
Lenovo M9 has slightly better IPS display and better processor.
Hopefully M9 Gen 2 will come with 6GB RAM, 1200×2000 IPS, and Dimensity 1050 (same as Edge 2022)
The only M9 I can find for sale has the G80, I'm assuming that's the one that's better than the A7 Lite? A9 hasn't been released in my country either because the A7 Lite still has stock.. really sucks
I can't imagine anyone owning a tablet with less than 8gb of RAM and enjoying it. My 6 year old is regularly upset by how horrible the processing power of the a7 lite is. I highly do not recommend.

What pen are you using?
Have you tried to root the device. its VERY much a sleeper device when given no limits on the performance controller / schedular and debloating stuff i dont use without loosing the Samsung functionality. i got roughly a 40% boost in overall performance EVERYWHERE on it. your milage may very and i even managed to hide root as well so no pesky streaming apps detecting im rooting it. :)
P.s this is on the 3gb model. so your milage on the 4gb model will probs be less as the headroom is better on those versions

I just got this tablet. I got mostly for reading and light gaming but I am more into puzzle games which run fantastically. I don't need some fancy device. I only wish that I could put apps on a micro SD card which would really help with storage on the actual device. Before picking up the tablet I considered other ones but just didn't like the prices of them. It ended up coming down to this one and the 8 inch Onn tablet obviously Samsung won out.

I have this tablet and it's updated to android 11
I gpt mine a week b4 Christmas in 2022.
This came as an extra gift way back then when I pre ordered my S22Ultra. It's so slow and sluggish but it can spare me some time when my S22U is charging. I just updated it to the new One UI 6.0. Sometimes when I used it I felt like I needed a lot more patience just to watch a grandpa doing his stuff. It's the annoying speed but other than that is good.

I have this tablet. It's super slow and lags. I would not recommend it. I watch RUclips videos and streaming movies on it. The battery is horrible, it doesn't hold charge very well, dies fast! I would not recommend this tablet at all.
I moved on to an iPad and it’s way better than my old slow tablet.
Just bought one again for my streaming set up
Feels worse than the a 2017 for sure, hardware isn't there, the a 2017 was capable from 2017 to 2021 for me, but this is already feeling like it's ready for retirement

The A9 will destroy that A7 lite. It gets a 400K on the Antutu benchmark. The A7 lite only gets 100K bench. The 8gb A9 model will be even faster

this tablet is far worse than tab a 8.0 with Spen 2019, bad screen, bad perfomance, speaker below average a lot, may be only better in software update and battery life

It has been with me for 2 years now And I can say that it's a piece of junk for me as gamer it doesn't support warzone there isn't enough space to even download games like (call of duty, genshin impact) even if you cleaned up the whole storage😂
