I remember the lines of military school buses in front of the elementary school taking those of us who live out on the economy...Our landlord Simon was my adopted dad..I used to drive his tractor and worked on his farm plowing fields with him..I would take off on the Germans pedal scooters and ride them through town and go to the gas houses for candy..the whole little town was my playground only us and one other American family lived there..We were bad kids and burned down a farmers barn..so many crazy things we did and I was only in 3-5th grade while there..then we moved to the States and kids couldn't even cross the street on my block..I missed Germany

Hi Roland. Enjoyed your videos on Wuerzburg. I was an exchange student for 2 years there in the early 80s and I miss the city very much. Thank you for bringing back so many pleasant memories.

I enjoyed this video so much! My old High School. So many memories there. They bonfire in the football field. My building was the one straight across..... So if I got in trouble and couldn't go, I could look out my bedroom window and smell the wood. I hope to go back one day. Thank you so much for this.

It's amazing how much impact we had at wurzburg it gets me emotional knowing how many times I walked through the high school halls laughing, having fun, I came back to the states and I really missed that place we were there from 76 to 78, I wish I would have known of the reunion, in San Antonio I live in ft worth! Holy cow! I tripped across this video by accident. I went to Würzburg HIgh (middle school, née junior high) from 1963 to 1967. So many memories. So many emotions.

Wonderful video!! I went to WAMS back in the late 80s/very early 90s. It doesn't look as though it's change a bit. What wonderful memories!! Thanks again!

yes, I was there for grades 6-8 (school years 85-88, left the summer of 1989) remember sitting in the classrooms on 2nd floor and looking out the windows, watching the UPS trucks! Spirit week hiding from the upper class cause the pranks, the pep rallies with the MASSIVE Bonfire! oh how I miss it!!!

LOVE YOU for putting this together. I spent many days in that gym as a DYA (Dependent Youth Activities) basketball player. '80-'83. My Dad tried to get an extension but we had to leave after my Jr year. I will always claim to be a Wurzburg Wolf! Can anyone give me info on the reunions? I am still in Texas and San Antonio is just 2.5 hours from me.
