    I have been a clairvoyant, healer and crystal healer for four decades, and I am also hyper sensitive. I can sense immediately if the quartz is real, or manipulated in some way. Their energy is like night and day, the manipulated one has probably only one tenth of the energy. They are pretty as decorative pieces, and I don’t mind having them in a room, but working intimately with them is in my opinion a waste of time.
    I also have problems with some real quartz crystals coming from China. I call them “dead”. It is like they are burnt out, exhausted, and their energy is not anything you would want around you unless it was to GIVE the stones healing and light. I have both cleansed them and energized them, without any result. I am now wondering if I should dig a hole in the ground out in a peaceful clean area without any traffic, roads or people and let them return to the earth for a year or so?
    It is weird to see how the rock and crystal industry has changed now that eBay is for everyone. Crystal clear quartz was easy to find up north where I live, often huge pieces as well. There was an abundance of amethyst and rose quartz, not that difficult to find real turquoise or citrine either. Now, it is rare to find untreated citrine. The prize in amethyst is high, new types of rock has been discovered. It is certainly a very interesting “field” to be in. Have a rocking Good Friday!

      It sounds like it but of course I cannot be sure. Perhaps they have some method of mixing Quartz with glass or shaping them into a particular shape? Your seller may not even know about clarified quartz or fake quartz. A lot of people don’t.

    You talking about how quartz is found all over the world made me think about how you find small amounts of it in rocks normal rocks. Then you held up a big chunk of quartz saying it comes in that colour which you see most often, but I didn't notice you were talking about the colour and was like "Where do YOU live if you see THAT more frequently than slightly sparkly but normal rocks!?" It would be really cool if there was a place that looked like that.

    I found a heavy old amethyst cluster tea candle holder at an antiques store that was closing down. I paid like 8$ for it. It's heavy it's big. The very bottom has peeling patterns because it looks like it use to be attached to something at some point. Under the paper it looks like stone? Then straight up into the crystal points. It's got a nice purple hue to it an i am trying to see if it's fake or not. The color looks like it flows through the crystals naturally it doesn't look surface level. Each little individual crystal looks like it's glowing from within. Some stronger in color the others. The entire piece is the a bit bigger then my hand and has a somewhat square rectangular shape
    It looks like it was definitely broken off of a much bigger piece of what ever it came from.
    It's very pretty. I just want to know if it's real
    And is it safe to wash it?
    Its pretty dirty.

      Hi Jordan, if it is real amethyst then it is safe to wash in water. However, if it has raw edges where are you think the crystal points might break off I would be careful in water. If you want to post to some gem identification forms with your picture they will be able to help you out. See more here satincrystals.com/pages/crystal-mineral-and-meteorite-identification

    I've also heard that quartz will not magnify if you look at printed material through it, whereas glass will. I tested it out with my son, who is a big collector, and his quartz pieces showed the print at normal size just a little distorted, whereas my "quartz" sphere greatly enlarged the same print. Not sure if it makes a difference because he has large clusters vs. my sphere...

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  Год назад +2

      Hi Nadi, thanks for bringing this up. This test is not conclusive in itself. The majority of Quartz will not magnify words, however it depends on the curvature and the light flowing through the stone. Your sphere could be real and magnifying the words because of its shape. You want to take all the tests into consideration when determining if your Quartz is real or not. 😃

    • @nadif8437
      @nadif8437 Год назад

      @satincrystals yes, I'm not so quick to count it fake because of that like i said, but it does have quite a lot of tiny bubbles too. But it's like the bubbles are on a plane, as if there are several invisible pieces of paper with them on it, if that makes sense

    • @satincrystals

      Spotting fakes in other Quartz related Crystals should be the same for the most part. There may be small differences for example rose quartz does not have Crystal Hexagonal pointed shapes.

      Yes, real quartz could have rainbow inclusions, or show some other colors in certain light, depending on what minerals got trapped in the process of its formation.

    Is quarts create fire when sun is there?

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  2 года назад

      That is a good question. I do not know the answer. I’m not sure if it has the same focusing qualities as glass. Glass “crystals” of course can magnify the sun rays and cause fire, but perhaps another viewer will know about natural Quartz and the sun.

    What about black light test? Does it apply to quartz?

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  2 месяца назад

      Hi, thanks for watching and for your question. In its pure form, clear Quartz will usually not fluoresce under black or UV light. However, due to the large variety of Quartz out there, each with unique mineral inclusions, you may find different pieces glow under black light depending on the stone. It's not quite a definitive test and you would have to know more about your particular piece of Quartz to use the test accurately.

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  19 дней назад

      If the stone does not burn it can be a number of stones or harder materials that don't burn, but can definitely rule out plastics or resins or materials that are flammable.

    • @satincrystals

      Because not all glass is the same, glass can potentially scratch glass. You will want something much harder like steel or Quartz to scratch the "quartz glass" and see if it scratches.

    I scratched the glass with my Crystal, which scratched it very deeply extremely easy so yes, it’s a real one
