    If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please feel free to drop a comment below, and I'll address them all.

    Appreciate the videos . I driven vw diesel for a long time . Basics transportation for me . Going from a 1.6 na to tdi was a big deal back then . I owned both TDI vw from car dealers . But managed to get them right and make them last . Thanks for the video . I like to have a Jeep or a Toyota 4x4. TDI . . I not a big hp guy just reliability and good fuel economy. Driven easy what kind of fuel economy can a guy expect from a TDI Jeep . Thanks

      That depends on a ton of factors: lift, tire size and weight, rim size and weight, gearing, aerodynamics of vehicle ETC. I know with the CJ I get 30 MPG driving 55 MPH with 33 mud tires, and 4.10 gears. Kyle Meister gets 20 MPG in Wyoming doing 80 MPH in a Dakota on one ton axles, and some decently sized tires with an AW4. If you plan to spend thousands of dollars to get a 4x4 vehicle swapped, it might be better to just get a used, reliable 4x4, and with the money saved from the swap you pay for gas. But there is a uniqueness with these swaps as well. I do it mostly because it's fun.

    Good video bro, just a question I have an alh with vnt17 turbo 11mm pump and bigger nozzles Malone tune for the mods it was owned by a friend of mine I bout it from him it’s having an issue with no CEL on but it smokes like it’s on fire on startup for awhile until it’s a little warmer and rough idles it sounds better after it’s up to temp and drives okay in higher rpm’s and suggestions what might be the issue I was thinking leaking injectors or maybe a pump issue? Any advice is appreciated

      @TDISwapInfo  Год назад +1

      I have the 5CM and it spools pretty quickly. In truth I haven't tested to see how fast it would spool (from 1500 RPM at full throttle), but from everything I've been told it spools just as fast as the stock VNT15 that came with my ALH. The GTD1756 that will be going in the XJ spools STUPID fast. Like 30 PSI by 2100 RPMs.

  • @kaiallen5772
    @kaiallen5772 3 месяца назад

    Hey! Did you like the GTD 1756 turbo? Im thinking a gtd1752vrk for my toyota BEW swap. Going for high MPG and low EGT's. I like the kp39 a lot, as it is very responsive and im fairly happy with the torque. But my tune gets pretty hot between 2400 and 3000 rpm. I think the turbo is running at its maximum, and wondered if the 1752vrk would help. Why did you switch to the holset?

    • @TDISwapInfo
      @TDISwapInfo  3 месяца назад

      You can't beat a GTD turbo in comparison to anything. The Holset is a great turbo, don't get me wrong, but a GTD spools instantly and the EGTs are good as well.
      Your tune might also be the source of EGTs. I ran a Stevenson tune, YEARS ago, and it was absolute shit when it came to power and EGTs. Tekmektronics is the way.

    При использовании ECU у вас будет большой диапазон регулирования угла впрыска и сохраниться возможность использования турбины с изменяемой геометрией что дас мощность на низких оборотах двигателя.

      I like trying things out. There are benefits to both, but not many people have been able to try them both in swap setups and report back their findings. In my CJ7 I did run the fully mechanical 12MM pump with WG turbo, and while it was fine, I did go back to the electronic setup. I more than likely plan to go back to a VNT turbo as well. It is nice to be able to try things on occasion.
      I hope this makes sense as I used Google Translate.
      Мне нравится пробовать что-то. У обоих есть свои преимущества, но не многие люди смогли опробовать их оба в настройках обмена и сообщить о своих выводах. В моем CJ7 я использовал полностью механический насос диаметром 12 мм с турбонаддувом WG, и, хотя все было в порядке, я вернулся к электронной настройке. Я, скорее всего, тоже планирую вернуться к турбонаддуву VNT. Приятно иметь возможность время от времени что-то пробовать.
      Надеюсь, это имеет смысл, поскольку я использовал Google Translate.

    Thanks for such an informative video. I've got an 03 MK4 Jetta tdi alh. I'm running the stock 10mm injection pump but have an 11mm I took off a PD. I'm wanting to have it rebuilt with new seals etc and although I'm sure I can get it done, I'll definitely have a qualified person do the work.

    • @TDISwapInfo
      @TDISwapInfo  Год назад +3

      I think you mean that you have the 11mm pump off of the Automatic, not the PD. The PDs didn't have VE Pumps.
      In truth, the 10MM eTDI injection pump is capable of 300HP. I'm not bs'ing you there. Tekmektronics tested it's capability with the John Deere SV356 turbo. There is no need to swap it out, unless you plan to make much more than that.
      If you do plan to get the pump rebuild, look up Verlin Martin. He can make pumps that flow @ 50% higher than the rated capacity. The current record is 43X HP I believe, and that's with a custom 12MM eTDI pump.
      Best of luck!
