My pin above the “R” in Master slid a bit out on its own and the shackle fell out, I mistakenly pushed the pin in before securing the shackle, but thanks to this video I was able to learn how to remove the pin and get my padlock set back right. I taped the pinhole over to prevent further issues (it’s indoor use). Thanks!

I had seen the pins that hold everything together on my lock. But, I never figured that you would be able to get them out in the way that you demonstrated.
Very nice. I learned something new. Thanks!

I'm an amateur and I have a 175 lock I am convinced that I can take it apart. My father gave me this this locking set the combination for me many years ago but I forgot the combination.
The only thing I did not pick up from the video was when you get it apart how do you tell what the combination is or you just set everything to 0000 and reassemble it? I watch the video on how to pick the lock open and I was successful. Thank you for whatever help you may go. My name is Fred

I've been tapping/hammering for the past couple of days but so far no luck. Pin isn't coming up at all. Not having any luck feeling for the flat spots on this lock either. It's one with very little space for the feeler gauge.

Please make another video, so we can see what you are doing. Also practice a bit first before videoing. Thank you

El candado solo se puede desarmar ,pero puesto con la cadena no podrá desarmar con golpes, porque la cadena lo impedirá

I used 2 cycle oil to loosen up the debris in pin holes and then push lock arm down then tap lightly and pin came out and for small pin i had to push in on wheel cover and taped till pin came out .. now small pin had rust . but i cleaned out with ice pick like tool and 2 cycle oil and it worked fine

So many of these videos have the same frustrating problems:
Using technical jargon it's unreasonable to presume the general public knows, in a video billed as a quick way to reset a lock, using no special tools or no lickpicking skills -- then it's all "just release these two palls ..." What are "palls"?
This is especially tough without a clear view of what's going on! I know it can be difficult to get close shots but frequently enough its the person's hands that are blocking the view.
Of course, there's the corollary to this and that's the use of terms that, although not technical, are still plenty unclear. Thus we have instructions to feel for a "little slot" located "right over" where "it started out" -- narrating a scene showing a tool scraping a jiggling piece of metal referred to as "a bar or lever, or handle for lack of a better term .. " Again with a picture that is difficult to interpret.
I know these things seem clear, even obvious to you, if you already know what's going on. But it's not so intuitive to us greenhorns.
Finally, there are even times a person demonstrating a procedure appears to maybe not be so knowledgeable or able to do whatever supposedly easy trick. This happens in this video at about 8:20 when the guy is having trouble popping something apart and resorts to taking the lock completely off camera and removing the shackle there. When he comes back he says something like, "as you can see, I was able to remove the shackle..."!
This comment shouldn't be taken as specific to this video -- it's only that I decided to carp about these things now -- in my slow struggle to learn about this master lock!
