  • I was hoping to give a good idea of the incredible tone of a National. I stole tidbits from Elmore James, Skip James, and Fred McDowell for displaying what this instrument can make someone sound like, so I hope you enjoy it. Thank you.

    Hi brett how you doing man ..
    I wanted you to know i watch this video 3-4 times a day i dont understand you are not reconized for what you are one of the greats slide guitarists of modern day .
    Your fucking amazing brett please post moore videos just playing old slide music .you are my number one slide guitarists in my heart ..my inspiration i wish i could meet you someday and play some guitar ..i picked up a guitar two years ago and started playing slide i dont have any noledge of standard tuning or any notes i only play slide in open tuning now i hit a wall and i cant seem to overcome my programing ...this is my wifes account im johny .
    I would like to know how to find your other acount ???

    Better late than never...just found the video...Enjoyed it a lot! Does your Triolian have it's original cone in it still? How long you been playing slide when you made this video? Nicely done! Thanks a Lot!

      Hey, I have not used this account in a long while. You got lucky! This guitar does have the original cone. I had been playing slide for 3 or 4 years here. Thanks for the compliments! I appreciate it!

      R. dB I don't remember what I had here. I currently use elixirs. The mellowest set I could find. 13s tuned to open C#. Same as open D

      Yes it does. Its a closet queen.

      Although the neck is bowed and the biscuit was shaved, it doesn't have much wear anywhere, including the cone.
