    I have vaporfly next%2, Vomero 16, Hoka bondi 6, bought invincible run 2 and took them back because they were uncomfortable below my ankle, sales rep recommendation, I took these bad boys(acis novablas3) home and WOW! Been a Nike and Hoka user these has been my go to for daily training.

    About that 8mm drop ... the Novablast 2 already had a lowered drop, it's the original Novablast that had a 10mm drop! 🙂 Not that it matters. Great shoe with overall improvements over the previous versions, except for traction. Watch out when making hard turns on wet or slippery surfaces 😲

    I’m waiting for the Novablast 3 TR to be in stock in my size and I will be ordering it, plus the ASICS Cumulus 24 in all-black color. I’m
    still in my training phase of logging in a lot of miles to build a foundation of fitness and so I’m mostly worried about comfort and avoiding soreness and injuries. Shoes like the Hoka Bondi and even New Balance More v3 feel too sluggish to me though. On Running Cloud Monster is my main daily trainer now and it’s just about right for what I need.

    I totally agree on the pace side. I have recently had the V2 and that did feel littke more springy and responsive especially in the rear /moving through the foot strike. The decoupled groove on the rear of the V3 is perhaps now quite as pronounced as V1 or 2 which might impact. Certainly a more easy going update. V happy so far 👍

    Thanks for mentioning the heel. I was disappointed that they kept the same very hard, unpadded heel cup, with just a bit more padding up at the collar. It made v2 a problem for me. So far v3 is ok, but it's one of the more clear differences to other shoes of similar outsole style. That and, weirdly longer toe part, and some bizarre bump on the tongue that prevents it lying flat. I didn't notice these differences while running, so far, which is what matters. I'm just surprised that most online reviews are missing this, so thanks for yours!

    am I the only one thinking that the fit is a bit long on these ? I've just ordered these and there is a lot of room in front... as I have narrow feet I'm hesitatiing in going half size down...

      v2 was the same for me. But to be honest, on +20 mile long runs, they seem to fill in nicely. As the extra toe room feels nice.

    I have slight stability issues since I land on the outside of my foot and my ankle collapses inwards excessively. Right now I’m training in the noosa tri 14 and racing in the adios pro 2 and love them both. I’m looking for a daily/long run shoe and I’m split between the novablast3, cloudmonster, and supercomp trainer. Any advice or recommendations?

      Hey, I've seen a couple of reviews and seems that is a bit heavier and got little lugs for easy trails, a little more grip, but no major differences, and definitely not enough as a trail shoe. The reviews I've seen said that if you like more the colors of the TR version, pick, as no real difference in the ride otherwise.

    How would you use this shoe compared to Saucony Endorphin Speed 3? What daily trainers would you recommend for runners over 220 lbs who run slower ( 10:00 to 12:00 min miles easy pace)?

    • @DoctorsofRunning
      @DoctorsofRunning  2 года назад +3

      The Novablast is a daily trainer through and through. The Speed 3 is best at workouts and harder efforts. It can do some regular training, but is best for those faster days. The nova could be a good choice if you don’t need a lot of stability. Focusing on comfort and finding something that fits well and feels good eating up miles is a good place to start. @@AwesomeWrench can you elaborate on what makes it better and what kind of runs you do in both shoes? My current shoe rotation is: Dead legs/recovery = Nike Invincible V1, easy/ long run = New Balance 1080 V12 or Hoka Mach 5, speed work or progressive run = Mach 5 or Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 (I think as I just got these and have done one easy treadmill run with them). I’m thinking of picking up one or more Nova Blast 3, Triumph 20, or Endorphin Shift 3.

    I've seen conflicting information regarding the sizing of these shoes. If I wear a size 12 US in my Saucony Xodus Ultras and Inov-8 Trailfly G300s, do you think these Novablast 3s will be true to size to a 12 US as well? Or...do they run slightly small or big? Thanks!

    The Novablast was originally famous for being extremely bouncy, super fun but not necessary efficient shoe, and I wanna know if v3 keeps that same bouncy-fun ride or if it's a totally different shoe, compared to previous shoes... does it still feel like a "novablast"?

    • @nor3
      @nor3 2 года назад +3

      I have v1, v2 and v3. Honestly the most fun ride is v1, the way you get the pace is amazing on that. v2 and v3 are upgrades in terms of fit and stability. About your question, v3 feels like a Novablast with a slight difference that was said in the video...it takes some miles/km to break in. The first couple times you just feel it lighter (it is much lighter), but not so springy. Probably im near 100km on them and as said the foam is breaking for good, and feels much more to v1 and v2. Just v1 and v2 had that from the very first day and these need a little break-in. Definitely worth and contender for shoe of the year. If you liked the previous, I'm almost sure you will like and love this one too.
