Regarding colour-matching: It usually only matters if surfaces are parallel. If you have perpendicular surfaces, you can usually get away with them being slightly different colours. Because chances are the light coming from different directions is slightly different colours anyway.
This is a great point. Color matching is also something that some people won't even notice or care about. But for those of us who care... it's a big deal 😄 - RG
For adhesive, Command Strips are also good since they typically pull off easier with less damage.
Everytime I use zip ties....THE VERY NEXT day I have to undo them because I need to change out a cable or cord or something. its like it knows
