Additionally, there’s the gap moe between that and her clearly nervous demeanor here (from trying to speak Japanese to native speakers). Based on other streams (without JP members) and what she has said since, it would appear that she is actually quite fluent with Japanese normally, though she often rehearses to get that VA-quality pronunciation and fluidity. However, when speaking with a native speaker, she gets incredibly nervous, leading her to trip up more often. However, if she drinks some alcohol beforehand, that can loosen her up enough so that she doesn’t get so nervous speaking to JP members. This hurts me so much as I am Asian and had long forgotten how to speak my mother tongue. Whenever I spoke to anyone in that language, I struggle to form sentences since sometimes sentences are said in reverse order.
