    All stereo amps from Peavey are amazing and the sound is consistent between models. No problem to take your settings and apply them to a Revolution stack (if you can find one!) or a Stereo Chorus 212/Classic Chorus 212. Solid amps that keep chugging for decades. But those teal stripe Peaveys? Whoa baby!

    I like the teal striped series of Peavey amps from the early / mid 90's. I have a teal Stereo Chorus 212 and it's a great amp, even after all these years it still holds up really well.

    The chorus on those vintage Peavey amps sound so good.

    Great video and much kudos to your friendly assistant. I've had quite a few similar helpers.

    I have this amp in my living room. Mainly I play the dirt channel and control the gain from my guitar vol pot. I agree the only downside is no fx loop

    I think all Peavey amps are awesome all the saturation you would need all the reverb the depth I've never had a problem with Peavey Amps... Although I do like the older Peavey amplifiers for example from the 1980s or the 1990's...

      I agree they have good depth, reverb, and plenty of drive. I like the 80s and 90s ones best as well.

    How is the level of the bass in room? I have a Microdark with the little 1x8 speaker cab and it's ass for anything metal, though in theory 2 8 inch speakers could have as much bass as a 12.

      It has good low end. And if it needs more I scoop the MIDs out just a tad and raise the volume. The only downside of this amp for me is it has no effects loop. Other than that, it has a rich warm 3d sound 🎸

    I had one of these in the late 90's when I was learning guitar. It had so many issues. Spring tank kept cutting out, wouldn't work half the time. My pedal really never worked. It weighs a freaking ton. Not a practical amp. But sounds good here i guess.

      That reminds me of my first amp... an Ampeg Reverberocket and I had pretty much the same user experience with it as you did with the Peavey lol. It was in the shop at least half the time. Gave me scarcity mentality thats why I have 85 amps now 😅

      yeah I didn't know what I was doing when I was shopping for it. I was like "distortion cool" and that was it i think. At 16 I really had no idea. I really wish I would have bought a tube amp back then, they were so much less expensive and really better than many are now.@@davecooper360

    Would this speaker be good for aggressive heavy/death metal like Slayer, Sepultura, Megadeth etc?

    • @davecooper360
      @davecooper360  9 месяцев назад

      I think so, but only at moderate volumes, otherwise the 8" speakers will start to flub out.

    Hey I got the same amp as a gift how do you make it have gain ?!

    • @davecooper360
      @davecooper360  17 дней назад

      You have to have it on the lead gain channel. Turn the saturation knob UP and turn the post knob down low. Also, if you pull the saturation knob you get a big gain boost!

    You wouldn’t hear anything about this amp in the right wing news media. 😅. It’s a conspiracy 😂
