Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage were such creative masterpieces, and seemed to progress naturally to each other. Glad to see you and your band covering material from this ultra creative era of the Ozzy years.
WOW! I've been a Sabbath fan since I was a little kid in the 70s, became a bigger fan when I picked up guitar in the mid 80s, and covered a lot of their songs in metal bands in L.A. in the 80s. To this day I never heard such a perfect recreation of Iommi's tone. Perfect!
@@mooninitelights Are you using a real amp or a profiler? In the classic era of Sabbath Tony was using anything from Oranges, Laneys or Marshalls. He did more to pioneer the metal guitar sound than anyone. I think the next evolution in metal guitar tone was Judas Priest. JP incorporated a lot of duel soloing and higher tempo horse riding. I always felt that Sin After Sin was the album where Priest really bolted down what would become their signature sound with songs like Sinner and their cover of Joan Baez's Diamonds and Rust. Stained Class was a quantum leap into pure metal. They kept popping out great albums till Turbo. I like a few songs on Turbo but to listen to Stained Class one moment then listen to Turbo, you can hardly believe it's the same band!
Best cover. A wonderful crazy mess of a song. Ozzy again finds a good melody and the outro could keep going for 5 more minutes with that solo. The whole album is burned into my mind
Got asked to learn this song and by far, this video, is better than any of the tabs I've found online. I was trying to pick apart the song by ear when I thought "maybe someone on youtube has done this song really well that I can get tips from visually" and low and behold, here I am singing your praises on a job brilliantly well done! I can learn by watching a bit more than other ways and this video is soooooo good for this! Also that tone is amazing. I read in the comments that you built your own amp for the tone. What about the pickups? What kind are you using on the SG there? Don't tell me you hand-wired them too? lol...
@@mooninitelights Thanks for answering because the original tunning is standard. That is an excellent tribute to the Master of Reality Tony Iommi, and it's an adaptation to play this great song in a power trio band like Black Sabbath with Ozzy era. The real and original Sound of Black Sabbath. I am an exaggerated Black Sabbath fan and guitar player too. I like your version of this song.
so you tune the guitar down a whole step? or a half step? a slowed down simple guitar lesson video may be in order? trying to read your shirt, what's the website? guitar lessons??? how'd you figure that out? so many questions!
Our host is playing and presenting the parts very clearly in this video. How is looking at a piece of paper with ink marks going to be any more beneficial? Your request makes no sense to me.
@@montag4516 bro this was simply a request to make this a little easier for me, a newer guitar player. I wrote this comment almost a year ago. Why you’re kinda being rude to a 16 year old makes no sense to me. Again, it was simply a request. There was no negativity in my first comment anyway so why bite my butt dude
@@montag4516 people have different learning techniques. OP asked politely if this guy could provide tabs, and he responded. Your comment was both unnecessary and rude.
@Marcus 280898 The camera and fingering shown here was clear and straightforward. If someone wanted tabs of it so badly they could do the work themselves, instead of being so damn lazy about it and looking to be catered to. The host was already quite generous by playing and posting this video. Hey, Marcus, you know how to touch a nerve with someone?... It's easy, just speak the truth.
Just think...a tape operator erased by mistake the first version sab did of this tune. Listen to that impossibly high can you imagine having to redo it lol?
Sabotage is their best LP IMO simply some of the most crushing riffs of all time balanced by awesome psyche. Unique... never to be rivaled.
Agree 100%. My personal favorite.
Best Ozzy vocals too
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage were such creative masterpieces, and seemed to progress naturally to each other. Glad to see you and your band covering material from this ultra creative era of the Ozzy years.
Definitely their creative peak
The intro to this song is ingenious with the guitar solo cutting in
Nice work. Loved the opening solo. Tony crafted amazing arrangements and solos. One of my favorites is this one.
my all time favorite sabbath song, and thats saying alot since every song theyve ever done is badass almost
One of the best outros to any song EVER.
Thank you for teaching me this rare Sabbath gem.
I am happy to share the knowledge.
My first Sabbath album and also my favorite, I couldn’t believe the heaviness of the songs.
I was singing this song all day --went on youtube to see if i could find it live--found THIS instead. WOW! He nailed that DEAD ON!
Bravo ..fantastic!!
My god that was awesome!!! Dude you killed it on that last solo. One of my all time fav BS songs. A++++
@Tyson Gillett Yeah I agree. Sabotage is my favourite, but only just.
Thanks for that. One of the best sabbath songs ever. It never gets old. Just perfect.
fantastic cover. best album I agree with Zal Moxis
Excellent work.. The best I have seen on that opening solo... And the close out
Been discovering your old band videos. It's cool to see someone who is really getting it right. Some of the best Sabbath covers I've ever come across.
thank you sir!
Amazing tone and flawlessly played 🤟🏻

Wow. Genius. Very enjoyable!
really good job my musical brother..!!!!
here i am again--5 years later STILL posting about this video. It's still just as good. Thanks.

Foda Pá Caráleo!!!

C# tuning?
nice job on an underrated track. what is the effect you are using on the "well thats my story and im sticking to it" bit?

Is it in C#, dude?
What scale or mode is that on the last solo?
What pedal was use to play that major theme with that fat tone that sounded like both fuzz and chorus? Or perhaps fuzz and octaver?
ring modulator set to an octave below
Good job! Tuning?
At 3:00 you play the synth part and the guitar part.
Yes that is correct.
Banjo Strings on too?
Fucking Epic!

Awseome job man!! what amp settings and/or pedals did you use to get that sound on the opening riff? It is identical to the original track!
It is an amp I built myself along with a modified rangemaster clone I also built to duplicate Tony's early sound.
Is there 2 guitars in this song. Or a recorded track
The original track is in one channel, the single guitar in the video is in the opposite channel.
what tuning is this in?
Those little tiny mistakes make it real man own it, besides you aced most of that
