Fantastic. This might be my favorite Black Sabbath song. Every instrument, especially the harmonica were outstanding. Ozzi's singing was perfect for this song.
Favorite Black Sabbath tune. Had a hell of a time learning the second solo just cuz the pentatonics are so quick and unusually phrased lol. Had to slow it down and listen over and over. Great song.
@Dave Davis i recorded this awhile ago so i cant really remember the exact settings i used. but basically i used the marshall (british tube lead 1) with volume must have been at 8 or 9, gain maybe 6 or 7. i might have used the overscream pedal for the solos. that should get you in the vicinity
I was gonna ask you to post a lesson on the guitar solo, however, after slowing the speed down I figured it out by watching, so thanks for posting the cover...you did a great job, considering the solo is multiple guitar tracks
Great cover man. That Les Paul sounds great. Good tone. This is the only video I've found good enough that I could use it to pick out the main solo. Tony is just a little erratic on this one for me to pick it out by ear lol.
I find the guitar licks so strange, they have this feeling of I don't know what. I feel like Tony was into some good shit here, his playing is just great, but there's something about the rhythm of his licks, especially the solo, that I feel are strange.
I know this is way late from when you put the video out, but I like how you played the part after the main riff (5/7 8/10 5/7). I know a lot of people improvise that, but yours sounded pretty spot on, you're going so fast I can't really tell what you're hitting. I know you're bending the lower A&G 5 fret but after that's kind of a blur.
Not exactly a "cover", more like a play-along, a guitar karaoke if you will. Very competently performed if just a tad too much string noise. Could have stood in for Tony Iommi and nobody would be be the wiser.
You're Russian... oops, I mean rushing the lead parts. Slow down, you know it because I see all the right notes, where's the fire? Lol. Overall a really good, solid cover of one of the greats!
