Thanks for helping me with the quest line however there is one question that has been bothering me and no one can answer it throughout the internet not even Google when you get to the end after the Elden beast what choice do you make to view Millicent's ending ?????? There are 2 people I know that I did the ending for other than millicent... Ranni and Fia I see the choice for their endings and the normal ending but nothing regarding miquellas needle ......😰😦 This is absurd!!!!
@@sunsguide6624 so, how Miquella’s needle works is that if you’ve locked yourself into the flame of frenzy/Hietta’s ending it will override all other endings and be the one you’re stuck with UNLESS you use Miquella’s needle at the dragonlord arena in crumbling farum azula. Using the needle doesn’t give you any new options for endings but it restores your ability to pick one of the endings you’ve earned instead of being stuck with the flame of frenzy ending. Hope that clears things up!
@@sunsguide6624 I’ll also add that I think it’s dumb for the needle not to have its own ending. Personally I thought there might be a true ending if you 1. Collect all the mending Runes/possible endings. 2. Take the flame of frenzy into yourself. And 3. Use Miquella’s needle at crumbling farum azula before defeating the Elden beast. That would be a cool “true” ending to get but I haven’t been able to test it myself (and won’t be able to until a second new game + or new game altogether) and as far as I’ve seen online there is not special ending like that.

@@sunsguide6624 with Miquella’s needle it’s possible to have the flame of frenzy quest complete and burn the erdtree yourself - sparing Melina- then you can use the needle to reverse the frenzied flame and still choose an ending- thats as much of a “secret” / special ending related to Millicent’s quest

Quick note, at least for me, as long as you cure her poison and talk to her at the Gowry Shack you can STILL complete her questline. I went as far burning the Erdtree and was still able to complete it.

Am I locked out? I killed the Mini boss before giving talking with her in the swamps and giving her an arm. She stopped appearing anywhere after Altus. Been desperately looking tor answers...😭😢
Daughter of Malenia.. man the look of her at the end, lying alone in scarlett flowers, near pond of rot in Elphael, willing to die to avoid her sad fate - I think for me her story is the most touching of all quests in Elden Ring. I remember I stood there for like 20 minutes near her :( Now I'm simply running a cosplay build to honor her. BTW: if you wondering why she is clearly Goddes of Rot daughter here is one of Gowrys lines: " _This is a wonderful development. Thank you for your kindness. Now Millicent may fully realise her true warrior's potential. Like her beautiful mother_ ."
Well if you are doing the all out bleed build you need both her reward and drop, so help her first then kill her, so Technically you don't betray her :D Edit: it's been patched out, you cannot get both on same playthrough.

@@Munsonfr summon him by getting into the lake, run back to the branches that you arrived in that area from, there should be a spot where you can jump back, and just range shoot him with whatever you got
I beat every regular game boss, burned the erdtree, killed the elden beast, killed every DLC boss, then came back to do millicent following this guide. In case anyone was wondering if it was still possible after completing the game. I basically just jumped to the sites of grace in order and she was just there. Thanks for the guide!

At 5:36 he said we may not able to complete quest after malena's ritual but it's not true. You can find her here or complete malicent quest after that ritual too.
I found Millicent on accident while trying to get sacred tears and I felt extremely bad for her just seeing her rotting away , I'm glad I was able to help just a bit even though she still dies in the end. this questline is by far one of my favorites in elden ring
someone had to have figured it out first ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ somethings tho are borderline impossible to find out like that one hidden wall that only disappears after 40 hits
@@stuartmitchell3739 it was in volcano manor yes, theres 2 invisible walls to get a fairly strong summon, havwnt uses it myself so idk, but the 50 hit wall was a bug and is indeed patched almost 2 years ago
9:03 Just found the best way to kill this thing if anyone else is having trouble with it Go into the pit to spawn it, then jump back onto the branch that you jumped off of to get to the area and kill it with range attacks. Just be careful with incantations that make you move like lightning spear so you don't fall off.
An upgraded long bow with mighty shot does a great job for times like that, it takes very little fp, hits pretty hard depending on the type of arrows you pick and the enemy you are facing. As much as I see people saying how shit bows are I find myself using mine a decent amount of the time, especially when you are not trying to draw a bunch of attention or are far away. It's a shame that they didn't do more with bows, maybe some good ashes, buffs, etc.
But where, i killed the godskin before giving the prosthetic arm to millicent and i couldn't find her anywhere, not an the mountains top, not at the haligtree

I had already completed Ranni's quest and ending before doing most NPC quests like IRON FIST Alexander Millicent and Fia/ D all these quest can be done after beating the game which was a relief
Not unplayable... Would take a lot of time to figure out but eventually ppl discover those things. Also when there was no internet we used magazines guides and this kind of stuf.. ppl used to share discoveries irl too
all i can tell you is i beat the firgiant and went to azula, THEN i went to give millicent her arm and proceeded to the top of mountain giants and just talked to her now, thats where i am
One thing to add, if you kill the putrid tree spirit at the fight location before getting Millicent to the haligtree, you need to kill it again for the summon signs to appear

I honestly feel like with my just straight up str and dex build that stupid rot tree was harder then rakard, Margott, radahn, or any of the other bosses. I figured there had to be a cheese for him but ffs man I’m not even sure how it’s possible to beat that mfer by not cheesing him from the root cus he literally goes ape shit and just knocks you off or one shots you
I took the risk and killed Gowry before killing Malenia. He was in the despair state like in the video and dropped both the bell and talisman. Also I assisted Millicent. Good luck all.
Thank you so much for the guide! As a side note, I did the Frenzied Flame ending and started this quest and was able to complete the quest today. I was able to continue her questline from Moutaintop of the Giants though I did defeated the Fire Giant beforehand. As of patch 1.04, I believe this quest is doable completely after you finish the game.
just a heads up, I did the fire giant fight and I am currently able to do this quest. Hence me being here lol, but killing the fire giant doesn't end her questline at all.

I really enjoyed helping her out and being nice to her to the very end, I did do her quest line after killing Malenia but it was still cool to do, sad to see her pass after fighting with her. Millicent was a very cool part of the game. I'd hate to fight such a kind character.
Yeah I know the talisman you get from killing her is pretty good, but I can never bring myself to betray such a kind and pure-hearted character. After all, truly good people are a rare thing in the world of Elden Ring where most things want to kill you.
For anyone that is not finding her at erdtree-gazing hill (4:00)… you’ll need to go back to gowry’s shack and talk to her again. And then she will appear at erdtree-gazing hill. This guide, while good, makes no mention of this.
If you don’t see the summon signs go around the area to all the grace sights. She was waiting with dialogue for me and then let me help her in the final fight near the rot pond.
I did the quest, I managed to take out that Rotten Tree Stump and I aided Millicent until the end. It took me the DLC and patience (I summoned two people for aid, but the blasted tree monster pushed me down just before the players got to assist me). Man, was that a harrowing 41 minutes today.
You know, I think it's GENIUS that FromSoft decided to put one of her locations in the Windmill village, and here's why. Prior to reaching Leyndell, players are more likely to go to Mt. Gelmir to the Volcano Manor. However, on their way, they'll reach the other half of the Altus Plateau, where the windmills are. Millicent won't be there because of the Godskin Apostle. After that, eventually they'll reach Leyndell and they might find the treasure painting. The painting will lead them to the Windmill village, where the treasure is. And you know who else is in the village? That's right. Millicent will be really close to the site of grace there, and they will find her without any guides. That's pretty much what happened to me.
At 8:28 i have found cheese that makes this mini boss quite a spectacle: 1st you must have the swarm of flies incantation to make this a trivially easy boss,the when you initiate the boss,back over to the land you were on,then head around the right side of the island where theres a pillar petruding from the ground,lure it in between there and head up the hill to keep it lodged in between the hill and the pillar making all of its moves get stuck in there,then move back down the other side of the hill but not all the way down,then start spaming the blod floes incantation,but be wary of his fire moves and explosion bc it may have a chance of hitting you if your too close,but if so then the boss will be killed after maby 5-6 rounds of 3 fly shots each
This boss is a BITCH. I think I know where you are talking about. After aggro-ing the beast I turned around and ran up and around to the right on higher ground, overlooking the little lake of rot where the beast spawns. He basically just stays there and can't touch you. I just spammed magic attacks at it. I hate those bastards.

Not sure if it's already been said, but you can definitely finish Millicent's entire story even after beating the game. I completely forgot about her way back during your trip to Altus and continued the quest from there

As a mage, commander o'neil was on of the easiest boss fights in the game, he just slowly walked toward me and i threw comets at him and he doesn't dodge

Commander O’neil help: You can lead him outside the arena to where those gysers in the ground that spit up scarlet rot for massive damage are. Ride around on your horse and lead him into the gysers. You can literally just kill him that way and you don’t have to deal with all the little enemies. Just a way to cheese him if you’re stuck!

5:24 I just did it today after beating NG+ and also did it in my first play through after completing the game. I'd say its safe to say you can do this quest whenever you want

@@exseliorpheonix5177 the only other way I know of makes Melina mad at you and causes the Chaos ending. If you don’t know about it I’d go explore the capital some more
I had already completed Ranni's quest and ending before doing most NPC quests like IRON FIST Alexander Millicent and Fia/ D all these quest can be done after beating the game which was a relief

all i can tell you is i beat the firgiant and went to azula, THEN i went to give millicent her arm and proceeded to the top of mountain giants and just talked to her now, thats where i am
I have beat the final boss and complete the quest after it.
Currently doing this questline after beating the final boss so I can confirm it’s a go 💯 ( just gave her arm back to her as I’m typing this 😂👍🏾 )

One thing to add, if you kill the putrid tree spirit at the fight location before getting Millicent to the haligtree, you need to kill it again for the summon signs to appear

If she is some version of Malenia, that means Malenia has bloomed 3 times. She may be a big part of the dlc
You are my best channel for whatever quest I need man, even your narration is on point. Even tho I usually search the item/npc/quest on fextralife, I come then to youtube and look up if you have the questline on your channel
The boss in the swamp is easy when you get on a specific root nearby.
With the blood flie incantation you can kill him pretty fast

Bro ty I can’t tell you how much that mfer was wrecking me. I honestly feel like with my just straight up str and dex build that stupid rot tree was harder then rakard, Margott, radahn, or any of the other bosses. I figured there had to be a cheese for him but ffs man I’m not even sure how it’s possible to beat that mfer by not cheesing him from the root cus he literally goes ape shit and just knocks you off or one shots you

I took the risk and killed Gowry before killing Malenia. He was in the despair state like in the video and dropped both the bell and talisman. Also I assisted Millicent. Good luck all.
I killed him before starting the quest by accident (pressed L1 and 1 shot him🥲)

As a side note, I did the Frenzied Flame ending and started this quest and was able to complete the quest today. I was able to continue her questline from Moutaintop of the Giants though I did defeated the Fire Giant beforehand. As of patch 1.04, I believe this quest is doable completely after you finish the game.

just a heads up, I did the fire giant fight and I am currently able to do this quest. Hence me being here lol, but killing the fire giant doesn't end her questline at all.

Killing the fire giant and lighting the erdtree on fire are two diff things but I heard even if u do both you can still complete her quest line

I really enjoyed helping her out and being nice to her to the very end, I did do her quest line after killing Malenia but it was still cool to do, sad to see her pass after fighting with her. Millicent was a very cool part of the game. I'd hate to fight such a kind character.
Yeah I know the talisman you get from killing her is pretty good, but I can never bring myself to betray such a kind and pure-hearted character. After all, truly good people are a rare thing in the world of Elden Ring where most things want to kill you.

You can just make it spawn and after that run up the branch from which you entered. Just shoot it from there at a safe distance.

The site of grace next to that boss is a great place to farm the Cleanrot Knight armour set which has very high immunity. Then go fight the boss 👍

For anyone that is not finding her at erdtree-gazing hill (4:00)… you’ll need to go back to gowry’s shack and talk to her again. And then she will appear at erdtree-gazing hill.

If you don’t see the summon signs go around the area to all the grace sights. She was waiting with dialogue for me and then let me help her in the final fight near the rot pond.

I did the quest, I managed to take out that Rotten Tree Stump and I aided Millicent until the end. It took me the DLC and patience (I summoned two people for aid, but the blasted tree monster pushed me down just before the players got to assist me). Man, was that a harrowing 41 minutes today.
THE FUCKING BRANCH BEFORE THE BOSS FIGHT HAD ME DYING 3 TIMES IN A ROW
You know, I think it's GENIUS that FromSoft decided to put one of her locations in the Windmill village, and here's why.
Prior to reaching Leyndell, players are more likely to go to Mt. Gelmir to the Volcano Manor. However, on their way, they'll reach the other half of the Altus Plateau, where the windmills are. Millicent won't be there because of the Godskin Apostle. After that, eventually they'll reach Leyndell and they might find the treasure painting. The painting will lead them to the Windmill village, where the treasure is. And you know who else is in the village? That's right. Millicent will be really close to the site of grace there, and they will find her without any guides. That's pretty much what happened to me.
Considering we're both watching this video, I'm thinking quest design is one thing Fromsoft are lacking in.
At 8:28 i have found cheese that makes this mini boss quite a spectacle:
1st you must have the swarm of flies incantation to make this a trivially easy boss,the when you initiate the boss,back over to the land you were on,then head around the right side of the island where theres a pillar petruding from the ground,lure it in between there and head up the hill to keep it lodged in between the hill and the pillar making all of its moves get stuck in there,then move back down the other side of the hill but not all the way down,then start spaming the blod floes incantation,but be wary of his fire moves and explosion bc it may have a chance of hitting you if your too close,but if so then the boss will be killed after maby 5-6 rounds of 3 fly shots each
This boss is a BITCH. I think I know where you are talking about. After aggro-ing the beast I turned around and ran up and around to the right on higher ground, overlooking the little lake of rot where the beast spawns. He basically just stays there and can't touch you. I just spammed magic attacks at it. I hate those bastards.

Not sure if it's already been said, but you can definitely finish Millicent's entire story even after beating the game. I completely forgot about her way back during your trip to Altus and continued the quest from there

I was so worried when you said you couldn’t do this after doing the ritual with Melina but I found her at the giants mountain so it’s okay
So if you help her in the end she just dies
If you betray her she turns into a flower that will bloom one day into a beautiful valkyrie

As a mage, commander o'neil was on of the easiest boss fights in the game, he just slowly walked toward me and i threw comets at him and he doesn't dodge

Quick tip: you can still do the quest even when the Erdtree is burning or if you killed Malenia early so don’t be worried.
When i helped Milicent fight her sisters i died and still got the talisman and she wasn't there, even when i realoded the area
just want to say. i beat the game as far as killing final boss and i was able to complete the quest line no issues.
Commander O’neil help: You can lead him outside the arena to where those gysers in the ground that spit up scarlet rot for massive damage are. Ride around on your horse and lead him into the gysers. You can literally just kill him that way and you don’t have to deal with all the little enemies. Just a way to cheese him if you’re stuck!
Just sneak up crouching behind him and spam poison mist he will not move until suddenly dead.
Just fight him on a horse with a halberd lol he cant do shit
He kept resetting for me today before getting to any of the geysers. He'd legit get RIGHT next to the closest one and would disappear.

Yup I concur. Same happened to me. Got as far as burning the Erdtree and the quest was still able to complete.
I dropped my controller and killed Gowry by accident while watching the video
this just happened to me too cause I jumped on him but I instantly turned off the game , reloaded and was at the last grace site; I hope you were able to complete this still!
