I have a 1999 BMW F650 Funduro which has I believe more or less the same Rotax engine as your Goldstar. The only difference would be that it has twin carbs. I've Owned it 11 years now and it hasn't missed a beat. Coming up to 175,000 miles now.

Excellent video. Your reasoning for buying the bike is spot on, and precisely the reasons I put a deposit on one myself yesterday. If ever there was a bike I bought with my heart rather than my head, the Gold Star is it!
Great choice, although I am biased. I fell in love with the Shadow Black edition and at launch it was the same price as the Highland Green. A mate of mine restored a 350 Goldie many years ago, and I was smitten with it and the whole Gold Star story. So when I heard about this 650 thumper with that iconic badge on the tank I had to have one. I've got the TEC baffle in mine which really improves the exhaust sound without making it unsociable. The nit-pickers and BSA puritans can go swivel for all I care. It's a fantastic bit of kit and brings a smile to my face whenever I open the garage door and take it for a spin. Enjoy!
Brilliant reply. I bought two! (Legacys) One for me and one for my brother. They're fantastic bikes. I've got three other older BSAs and I'm a member of the BSA owners club. Now ... what would BSA be making now if the management hadn't lined their pockets and caused the demise? A water cooled, ABS, USB, modern bike! That's what. "So rejoice in that", lol 🇬🇧
Haven't been on for a while, Dave, so I've some catching up to do, but many congrats on your new purchase. You've hit the nail on the head regarding your reasons for selecting this machine. That is: How it makes YOU feel. You and you alone. Not anyone else's. That's ALL that matters. Here's to many happy miles ahead for you.👍

Its all a out how jt makes you feel. In fact I bought a second one from C&J in March!! Only shame is they no longer are the dealers having pulled out. Luckily AKA Automotive down the road are now the dealers though not been to them yet.
Best reason for buying a bike is indeed the way that it makes you feel. That's the reason I swapped a 2014 Honda CTX700 for my 2005 Moto Guzzi Breva 750; the Guzzi puts a smile on my dial. If the BSA ever gets released onto the Australian market, I'll definitely be taking a test ride on one, however.
Never got the retro vibe with motorcycles and nostalgia myself, but, If it's got two wheels and an engine and it makes you feel great, then that is a good thing. Bravo to you and all Mr Bingley.
My first bike was a MZ Skorpion sports (commuted from Southend to West London all year round on that thing and never saw another one on the road in the UK. It was ugly to most, impossible to get parts BUT.... I loved that single thumper so much!!! I can't make my mind up about this BSA or a Royal, reviews like this are much appreciated thank you :)
Great to see a positive video on the Gold Star. I can't begin to understand the negativity of many other vloggers to try and write this bike off. "It vibrates". No sh*t Sherlock. That is the character real bikers are looking for. I'd have one and probably will at some point.
Morning Dave, good early observations this morning. You hit it on the head, you can watch reviews of any particular bike and all the you tube reviewers give out the same boring old statistics. You could just swap the reviewers name and use the same videos. It’s all about the feel and what it does for you personally. It’s what makes us human and we should celebrate being individual. How boring a world if we all liked the same things and looked the same. Enjoy the new toy and keep smiling. I guessed the wrong bike but got the colour correct 😊😊
Like most I expected to see a an RE badged motor. However your reason why you have bought the BSA is a genuine personal one and it makes me feel quite humbled that you share your inner reasoning with us all. Again, its not for me to reason why, but to enjoy the experiences that you share with us. As you know, I have this year, passed my test and you were one of the reasons why I have gone down the CF Moto route (700MT) for my first bike ( fills my needs and what I want a bike to do, for now). Keep up the excellent work Dave.
Good morning from Norfolk. So good to seeing you out on your new steed, congratulations to the subscriber who guessed correctly. I will now go back to watch your original road review of the Gold Star, which i have not watched and look forward to doing. It is many years since i rode a single cylinder bike however, i must try it. Ride safe Dave, enjoy every minute. Regards, Roy.
Congratulations Dave! Lovely looking bike, great price as well, I agree with your thoughts on this and the Classic 350 , there's something about a soulful single cylinder engine! 👌
I considered one of these here in Spain where I live, but the nearest dealer is 4 hours away in Madrid! So...I bought a Scram 411. Local dealer 45 minutes away! It is soooo beautiful though, great choice and I shall watch with vigour (my dog!)
Had my Highland Green from new in March 2023. Perfect for the moors, of course here in the southwest our moors are far superior 😏. Have you spotted that you have an early model variant? It’s got the mark 1 radiator style, later bikes have a different grill and side panel. Nothing to worry about, same as mine and it’s a keeper. BSA have built a real class disrupter, that’s why it was a slow burn to start, but it’s gaining real traction now.
That’s what it’s all about in the real world today- low down and midrange. Can you fit a centre stand. An essential item on a chain driven bike in my opinion. My CB500F didn’t come with one but the lugs were there so I had one fitted. Much easier to use than a paddock stand. Good to see the BSAs out and about. I don’t know if they’re coming to Australia 🇦🇺 or if they’re already here?
A great choice Dave. Most authentic retro on the road today. I loved the ride the GS gave and the curiosity from onlookers. And the prices now are unbeatable. As long as you can get through the bad wording from what I understand to be a few bikes rather than the masses. Lovely machine 👍
A man of great taste not only you’ve the best colour of classic 350 and now with highland green on your Goldstar,my dad also had a Goldstar he’s one was a ex racer 500cc with a fairing, great view and enjoy your new bike.👍🏻
Your"if it feels good thats all you need in terms of reason to own" is spot on I have the meteor 350 that I've swapped to a normal gear shift and a plate for luggage in place of the rear seat. Its all I want in a Moto. I'd like bigger faster but actually the 350 is perfect as it is. So we ride on happy
Once again you've nailed it, nice ride out, beautiful new bike, my favourite colour as well. What you say about how bikes make you feel rings true, i love my bikes, i even talk to them sometimes as i'm out riding & feeling the sheer joy & freedom on the back of my faithful steed. Corny yes but but that's life. I've always bought with my heart instead of my head, i think that you get a lot more happiness that way. Anyway, thanks for another really nice tour & congrats on your new friend, i hope that you enjoy many years & many tours on her, she's lovely. Ric, ontario canada.
Sounds like a cliche but it honestly feels like singles are alive, every beat from the engine is a mechanical heartbeat . Really hope you enjoy this bike and continue to share her with us here on your excellent Chanel! Cheers and all the best. 😀👏👍🏍
ABSOLUTELY OK with you saying only the feeling you have to the bike is important! I like very much your comparaison with the true we have love for our cats and dogs because they are proper personalities... Like all the bike we love riding, admiring, listening to, smelling (still hope to reactive my RDLC250 one day...😂), touching, , loving! 💙👍🏼
My bet is the Moto Guzzi goes as there’s no need for it any longer with the addition of this BSA. Beautiful bike there and I’m with you; not into polishing shiny bits and I couldn’t care less about liquid cooling because what matters is how I feel when I’m riding it! Congratulations on your new bike!
Great to see the Gold Star in your stable - I've just got one myself and I totally agree about the emotional element of the purchase - I also have a Classic 350 and I can't agree more!!!
Well I did guess correctly 👍. Good choice. Rode one a few months ago from Fowlers in Bristol. If I were not taking a pillion I could have gone for it. It did feel and look a tad small though, but definitely a good call and the best colour.
I’m super tempted by one of these Dave. Good choice. My local dealer in Maidstone are offering them at about £4500 plus OTR which is amazing value. I totally agree about the ‘stripes’ which spoil the other colour ways and I would go for green although I would like the chrome handlebars instead of black but that’s easy to change. Look forward to more videos on the BSA.. perhaps I need to put my money where my mouth is before Christmas?? Enjoy!
It's down to the one you own. In mass production no two are the same. It's just the way things are. I'm supposed to be a clockmaker. It's the same from Swiss sewing machines to clocks made in England. My 25 year old Harley has unique issues. Some issues are common to every example of a specific model. The speedo on my premium Harley gets condensation inside just like every other Harley since forever.
I test rode one of these last week and the response from the engine while just in a gear to high ( not lugging) was very surprising and I found it didn't need revved past 4000rpm at any point and 70mph is there quick enough . These if You wanted will sit at 70mph for as long as You can endure a Motorway
Nice bike. I believe that we are finally getting them here in the US. On the USB, does it work with the key off? The one on my Meteor 350 only works if the engine is running because it is on the headlight circuit.
Hello Dave, I went for the Legacy Edition with all the bling, I have owned my 2011 H-D XL883N 'Iron' from new, over the years I have blacked it out, so the blingy BSA Gold Star 650 makes a refreshing change from the blackness of the Iron 883. I have recently purchased a 2009 H-D XR1200 in black, it has twice the power of the BSA, so it makes for an exciting ride and unlike many Harley's the XR1200 handles and brakes wery well indeed. Enjoy your Gold Star 650, I saw one in highland green yesterday in the car park of the Motorcycle Mechanics Show at the Staffordshire Showground, it looked very nice.
I correctly assumed that the BSA might be the next bike you chose, but unfortunately did not post this anticipation, however I am test riding one in two days time, for the same reasons that you selected one.
Good to see you have added the Gold Star to the TBW "toy shop" will be interested to see/hear how you get on with it especially compared to your Guzzi. Personally I think the Gold Star is a great looking bike , the only thing I would want to change would be the exhaust which I feel doesn't quite "gel" with the rest of the bike , other that I would pretty much leave it as is.
Cracking bike in the best colour! Haha. I love mine, now 6000 miles and just on new tyres. Shame I paide £1500 more than you acquired yours for! Then the Classic 350 I bought this year was a bargain. Both give me riding pleasure that is hard to quantify, but lifts the soul. My BSA is a keeper. Enjoy!
Hi Dave the yellow Monkey bike guess was of course made with tongue firmly pressed into cheek. I’ve heard lots of negative comments about the BSA’s reliability but then I’ve also heard quite a lot of positive comments too so it’ll be interesting to see how you get along with it. By the way it really is a nice looking bike. 👍
Good choice. You can certainly make a comparison with the RE 650. Might be jumping the gun here but feel this might be one you keep a while. And that’s saying something!!!
The feel good factor not to be overlooked when the VFR800 was launched I bought one and within 50 miles felt I'd made the wrong decision the engine sound was like a kitchen appliances so within a 1000 miles I sold it, moral it should make you feel good from the get go.
I've seen alot of real world negative feedback about the bsa , and the values dropping like a stone due to production problems (wiring looms) are you sure it was a good choice over the RE guerilla
Thanks for the info but at my age I have to take comfort and ease of use over authenticity. I know the clocks aren't actually upside down but they look upside down to me.
Hi Dave, Congratulations on your purchase. Lovely bike. Am I right in thinking that it doesn't come with a centre-stand ? You are also right about Cobb & Jagger, they provide excellent service.
I keep expecting the purists to complain about how the frame doesn't flex, how the tyres are too good and thd fact the brakes actually work.... The BSA is very much one of the bikes on my radar as a possible future purchase for me. Someday i expect I'll make a choice.
I bought my Gold Star back in March 2023 and like your good self i way influenced by owning a BSA Road Rocket twin back in the day. I've had a few niggles, easily sorted and because of my not inconsiderable weight replaced the rear shocks with upgraded Tec ones. Now at 5 grand it's a really good buy but i paid 6800 for mine and have to say i feel cheated as did my original distributor here in West Lancashire who stopped selling them back in January after being messed around by BSA. The bikes great but it's BSA that stink.
i suppose if it makes you feel good then that has to be the best reason for getting it, so GL, and hope you still feel that way waiting for roadside assistance or parts down the line. 😆
Really enjoyed that ride and review as always, glad to see another dealership in your portfolio might there be more reviews from C&J? Hope Norman doesn’t feel that his nose pushed out of joint ☹️
You have touched a nerve so many reviewers miss! Does the bike talk to you? The full synergy of man and machine is realized only when the motorcycle talks to your heart and soul. I'm convinced of this and why so many people keep trading bikes so often. After father and husband duties were covered and I could return to riding, i went straight down to the Harley Davison dealer. To my sad surprise, I didn't feel right on any of the models I could afford and met my physical needs for weight kept down due to injury disability. Turned out, they also carried Triumph. When I sat on one, it was much lighter and with the low center of gravity that I needed. But I had my heart set on a cruiser. The salesman said we have something down in storage. Turned out to be a Triumph America new but a model year old. 2016 was it's last year and it was late 2017. They were going to put on eBay auction just to get rid of it. One ride and I was in love. Light, nimble and felt like it was built for me. Black and chrome all over with build quality easily matching HD. She is still in my garage. I get all kinds of looks and compliments on her. Rare and rarely scene, I enjoy that compared to HD which are everywhere here in the States. Accessories have been a treasure hunt and very hard to get. That and chain drive are my only complaints. My America will be in my garage as long as I am able to ride her but it I am forced to downsize, I hope the BSA is available. 8 years and not a single repair.
I recall reading Rotax is the engine of choice in light aircraft for several manufacturers. I wonder if the BSA 650 engine is made by the same Austrian company?
I would love to have one of those thumpers BSA 650. Not sure if we even have a dealership in all of Texas...never seen one. Love the way they sound stock. So, when you open the garage door...how do you decide which bike to ride each day? Sometimes its hard for me to chose and i have two bikes Transalp and T120😂not a bad problem to have mate
Dam good choice mate i said on my last comment your dad's with you and helped you chose the bike you wanted it fits our ĺifestyle mate at our age lol ride safe enjoy the new toy mate have fun dave
I think the BSA Gold Star is a gorgeous bike, the original was beautiful and this new one is beautiful too, but less oil leaky and troublesome... The thing about the USB sockets causing people to complain... These same people would complain if it wasn't there... Now, BSA could have disguised it as a clutch reservoir, but the Gold Star always had a cable clutch. They could have hidden it away somewhere, and they'd complain it was inconvenient... It would alsi, probably have cost more (not a huge amount), to build it into somewhere inconvenient. Worst thing about my wee CBR is the fact there's nowhere on the handlebars to fit a USB socket. It doesn't really bother me, but my wife uses the bike too, and she wants to charge her phone, as she wants to use it as a satnav... I keep mine in my pocket, in case i need it, but on the bike, i prefer the peace of it not being right in front of me. If that makes sense.
Ha ha............and I thought it was only me who doesn't like silver cars or bikes Dave! Another cracking ride out on roads very familiar to me......and on a beautiful bike too! Great choice mate!! Ride safe Dave (N. Yorks) 👍👍👍👍
Nice bike which I hope and am sure you (and us all) will enjoy...thanks for sharing this video........quick question, do you use RAM mount handlebar attachments on the bike ?
Gee Dave. That Artic lorry, was a tad close at the lights, then could see him in your mirror.😢 Enjoy the new bike. Look forward to future updates. No BSA dealer in Scotland now, with the demise of Saltire😢
Morning hi that’s for what I could see on the video a lovely colour green definitely a good choice and the cheapest, result right there I can see how it draws a crowd you would think it’s a bike from the 50’s I get that my dad had a 650 gold flash back in the early 60’s that was a fast bike and I can remember he would be busy cleaning that every Sunday rain or shine he was meticulous at cleaning bikes cars even his garden tools after every use I’m not like that just can’t be bothered my son is like his grandfather he likes everything spotless but I have thought about that bsa but dealers are few and far between here where I live I’m now thinking Suzuki gsx800s love them and I think that’s the one for me as a winter bike bsa is beautiful though I hope you enjoy and take care
Nice video thanks. After more than 60 years riding I need to be able to flat foot at a standstill and with only 29" from crotch to ankle I would find this bike too tall. Also, I don't like the upside down clocks and I'm a puncturephobe so prefer tubeless tyres. Apart from that...! I like watching your stuff so please get yourself some Indimate units before you kill yourself by leaving an indicator on. It makes no sense to pay £115 for crash bars and save about £100 by not getting something which could well prevent a crash. Also, I am sure that if you get a unit you will soon be persuading other people to follow suit and helping them to keep safe.
Ron, I'm a bit of a weird one, I'm 5'11 and only a 30 inch inside leg and can easily flat foot it, so same for you. The clocks aren't upside down as such, they just begin their start up sequence from a different position .. I prefer tubeless too. Also there is no option for a centre stand, or any stand bobbin options either. That said, BSA have created a paddock stand specifically for the Goldstar (£89).. If you want an authentic retro, this is it 😉
The original Gold Star was either a 350cc (DBD32) or 500cc (DBD34). If it was a 650cc, then it might have been the Rocket Gold Star - Rocket twin engine in a Gold Star frame. A mate of mine had the DBD34 - it would pull 70 Mph in 1st gear with the close ratio box, but was a bugger to ride in traffic. 🙂
To be 100% accurate, there were ZB32/34 and BB32/34 Goldies with the small fin engines, then CB32/34 and DB32/34 big fin models, and finally, the DBD34. Of course, not all were in Clubman racer trim with the big carburettor, close-ratio RRT2 gearbox, high compression, and race cams. You could order a Gold Star in virtually any specification you wanted, including trials, scrambles (motocross), and touring, with the appropriate cylinder head, piston, camshafts, gearbox, wheels, brakes, tank, seat, handlebars, and electrics. [/pedant] 😊
I do like the BSA, but I am going to wait a while until they have sorted out the wiring loom and other issues which the first batch has been recalled for. Also they have no center- stand and no chance in fitting one due to the frame. Its no big deal really but it is nice to have a main stand or a choice to fit one. Not many extra available for this bike.
@@thebingleywheeler Okay, but all road bikes should have the ability to add a centre stand as an extra, for servicing there is always a paddock stand that I have, but there is no space to fit some bobbins either.
Health to enjoy great machine I have an early 23 love the riding experience last bsa I had was a three month old A65L back in 72 goldstar has been trouble free put a few extras on it stadium bar ends hagon rear shocks only for the look standard where okay I got a set of the dresser bars when they came available few months back from bsa but my frame doesn't have the mounting on the engine side contacted lukas they said they would sort something out months later nothing took the money and run after I contacted them they changed the add to only from certain frame numbers
@thebingleywheeler it is but nothing will put me of the goldstar once I throw the leg over hit the button it takes me back to what motorcycling is about started riding in 1970 I'm 70 in december never thought I would be riding a motorcycle with the bsa badge on it and well put together in india
Morning Dave, good review as always,.. did you consider any other colour like the Black Shadow ( all black one) ? I very nearly bought one. The prices are coming down definitely.
This bike is getting a lot of love from your viewers / subscribers, but for me the “radiator” alone is a huge killer. IMHO air cooled is the way forward if you desire a proper retro bike buzz! (ie. not z900rs or T120)… Note: I’m not saying they’re bad bikes, clearly not. But rather, a compromise too far.
@@TheGreatestBeyonder err…..they are not singles for the most part….The Gold Star is a 650 cc single…..note how new RE singles have to be water cooled once they get above the 350cc J series….if there is a new to market 650 or bigger single with air cooling I’d like to know about it please
@@thebingleywheeler Ducati Scrambler 800s/1100s (ok so not a single) but... and I'm not a purest (at least not yet) I feel there's something inherently wrong with the BSA being LC'd. Could they not at least fit a slimline rad like the T120? There's just no attempt to hide it, and lets be completely honest, it is monstrous, which may in part be why there's such poor sales. But I hear you, and sadly yes, all bikes may very well end up LC'd. The market is crashing right now, so I don't expect much from the market for the time being (apart from Triumph whom seem to be bucking the trend)!
It is a looker and I’ve considered one to go alongside my inter and 350 classic but Royal Enfield keep adding new models ! A guy I know in Kent manufactures and sells a centre stand and the ‘original ‘ style rear lamp / number plate assembly which looks so much better

2001 F650 GS ( mine) has FI good bike!
Replying to my own comment. Tablet won't let me edit. And weighs 388 lbs dry ! Some of these old bikes are better than the new !

@paulyflyer8154 exceptional effort sir. may I congratulate you 👍
I understand its 45hp for the a2 licence but you should be able to get more power out of that engine
Excellent video. Your reasoning for buying the bike is spot on, and precisely the reasons I put a deposit on one myself yesterday. If ever there was a bike I bought with my heart rather than my head, the Gold Star is it!
@77archibald you won't regret it they're brilliant I've got a legacy. Excellent 👍

I agree in California and hope they come to the US too can't wait!
Good choice, I really like the torque being so low down in the rev range and the price now makes them good value too

Great vid, and bike. I brought the Midnight Black version in July. As per your reasons, the heart ruled.
Anyway, enjoy your new baby, stay safe. G.
Cheers Ric…I talk to mine all the time….at least they don’t interrupt 😎👍🏻
Sounds like a cliche but it honestly feels like singles are alive, every beat from the engine is a mechanical heartbeat . Really hope you enjoy this bike and continue to share her with us here on your excellent Chanel! Cheers and all the best. 😀👏👍🏍
I get the same feeling with my Harley because of its odd firing order . My classic 500 too.👍
Hope you have a 'good un' and not one of the problem ones, seems like the new goldstar is a bit of mixed blessing bikes, fingers crossed 😊
Good Morning Dave , Lovely bike to say the least , i wish you loads of trouble free miles , take care & ride safe
Thank you Steve all the best pal
Cheers Ian yes great pairing 😎👍🏻
Will be following your ownership story with interest and hope you enjoy many happy miles.
Well I did guess correctly 👍. Good choice. Rode one a few months ago from Fowlers in Bristol. If I were not taking a pillion I could have gone for it. It did feel and look a tad small though, but definitely a good call and the best colour.
Good addition to the stable. Look forward to hearing lots more about it.
Enjoy!
Cheers Duncan I love mine
Lovely bike Pal. It’s all about the experience. Enjoy.
Cheers buddy all the best 👍🏻
Some great bikes there David thank you 🙏
I correctly assumed that the BSA might be the next bike you chose, but unfortunately did not post this anticipation, however I am test riding one in two days time, for the same reasons that you selected one.
Well done TBW, I like your BSA Goldstar.
I'd pick this over the Classic 250 green Signals RE because of the engine... Thanks for the video.
What about the RE GT 650's? Always thought those were the closest modern production bikes to the café racers of the 60's, though I could be wrong.
Enjoy!
Lovely bike, lovely roads, lovely scenery. Enjoy!
Beautiful bike. Enjoy and stay safe. I'm looking forward to seeing many rides in the sales. Ade
Dales 😅
I love single cylinder bikes
Ya can’t beat a good old thumper.
I know it was tongue in cheek pal…..very funny too 😁
I admire your enthusiasm for this bike. The questionable reliability, build quality and warp drive depreciation would be a deal breaker for me.
Don’t believe everything you hear
Good choice. You can certainly make a comparison with the RE 650. Might be jumping the gun here but feel this might be one you keep a while. And that’s saying something!!!
The feel good factor not to be overlooked when the VFR800 was launched I bought one and within 50 miles felt I'd made the wrong decision the engine sound was like a kitchen appliances so within a 1000 miles I sold it, moral it should make you feel good from the get go.
Yes did the same with a fireblade couldn’t fault it,very fast but all character was engineered out.
Forgot the flannel , it was cheap and how it looks like a traditional British bike ? Once a Yorkshire man always a Yorkshire man.
Hi Dave, Congratulations on your purchase. Lovely bike. Am I right in thinking that it doesn't come with a centre-stand ? You are also right about Cobb & Jagger, they provide excellent service.
Correct no centre stand
Thinking about trading my RE Classic 500 in for the BSA but a bike that doesn't vibrate may take some getting used to ! Enjoyed the video.
Beautiful ride......the Beeza seems perfect for it 🙂
A nice MC in the best colour, with a proven engine and great to ride, you got a great deal, even though C& J have dropped the brand. Enjoy. 😎
Hey my friend. that's a crackin' good looking ride. My color also. Congrats!!! Have a great day!! Cheers!!! Later1 llinois, USA
Really nice looking bike. Congratulations. My personal suggestion: whenever you get new tires look into whitewalls. :)
So, he wants 50/50 off road white wall tyres? Nope!
exactly the reason why i , after almost twemtyfive years, keep riding my Sportster XL 1200C..
i suppose if it makes you feel good then that has to be the best reason for getting it, so GL, and hope you still feel that way waiting for roadside assistance or parts down the line. 😆
Don’t be silly…. Have you got one then?
@@thebingleywheeler sry m8, couldnt resist
Really enjoyed that ride and review as always, glad to see another dealership in your portfolio might there be more reviews from C&J?
Hope Norman doesn’t feel that his nose pushed out of joint ☹️
Norman loves his new pal 😎👍🏻
Dam good choice mate i said on my last comment your dad's with you and helped you chose the bike you wanted it fits our ĺifestyle mate at our age lol ride safe enjoy the new toy mate have fun dave
these goldstar are beautiful bikes and price very attractively now too 🙂
Please do a side by side comparison video with the RE 350. Would be really cool.
Check out the Bridgestone AX41 tires , I consider them 50/50 tires , you might not. Love your bike choice.
Ride safe
Dave (N. Yorks) 👍👍👍👍
Cheers Dave….silver….ugh! 😂
@thebingleywheeler bloody boring Dave.....I've never seen the attraction. Ah well.
Nice bike which I hope and am sure you (and us all) will enjoy...thanks for sharing this video........quick question, do you use RAM mount handlebar attachments on the bike ?
Yes I use Ram mounts occasionally
I was tempted to buy the Gold star but no centre stand put me off it 😢
There's none available as optional? Maybe TEC bike parts might have one as an aftermarket.
Gee Dave. That Artic lorry, was a tad close at the lights, then could see him in your mirror.😢
Enjoy the new bike. Look forward to future updates.
No BSA dealer in Scotland now, with the demise of Saltire😢
Yes he was too close….shame about Saltire
Hope you have better luck than Mr Moto Tingle (Alex I think). I agree the bike looks terrific!
If you want an authentic retro, this is it 😉
A great choice for the Best of reasons... Well done The Bingley Wheeler... A true Gentleman Biker. ;0)
Thank you sir 🙏
Evening Dave 😊 now, then, dad's BSA could have been the Rocket Gold Star 650 twin
Proper classic that James
[/pedant] 😊
@@rickmancrcorrect, and do not forget the first ones, the pre-war goldies JM and KM24 both 500cc (ish)
Nice!!! But how the hell do you bring up Cobb and Jagger BSA?
The 3 website tabs are Ducati - Triumph and Kawasaki...😝
How about a blog on why you got rid of the Super Meteor?
I do like the BSA, but I am going to wait a while until they have sorted out the wiring loom and other issues which the first batch has been recalled for. Also they have no center- stand and no chance in fitting one due to the frame. Its no big deal really but it is nice to have a main stand or a choice to fit one. Not many extra available for this bike.
Bike jack for £15….no need for centre stand
@@thebingleywheeler Okay, but all road bikes should have the ability to add a centre stand as an extra, for servicing there is always a paddock stand that I have, but there is no space to fit some bobbins either.
Tec do a pair of brackets which allow most paddock stands to be used
Health to enjoy great machine I have an early 23 love the riding experience last bsa I had was a three month old A65L back in 72 goldstar has been trouble free put a few extras on it stadium bar ends hagon rear shocks only for the look standard where okay I got a set of the dresser bars when they came available few months back from bsa but my frame doesn't have the mounting on the engine side contacted lukas they said they would sort something out months later nothing took the money and run after I contacted them they changed the add to only from certain frame numbers
That’s poor from Lukas!
Yes but black shadow £1000 more…I’m a Yorkshireman 😂
I saw you at Pateley Bridge on your new bike on Friday, was going to say hello but you were already talking to someone.
You should have said hi….more the better 😊👍🏻
Is there a BSA Heritage reason for the speedo & tacho being upside down? They looks very confusing to me, but how do you find them?
must say ,, bargain and bargain ;; and the colour stands out ;; the standard paint looks the best by far , i agree with you
This bike is getting a lot of love from your viewers / subscribers, but for me the “radiator” alone is a huge killer. IMHO air cooled is the way forward if you desire a proper retro bike buzz! (ie. not z900rs or T120)… Note: I’m not saying they’re bad bikes, clearly not. But rather, a compromise too far.
No radiator no bike alas due to emissions requirements
@@thebingleywheeler well, not really, RE, Moto Guzzi, and a few others can do it... I don't see why not?
It’s not monstrous just because you don’t like it….I think it looks fine and I’m not alone. All a matter of opinion there are no “truths”
Nice single bucket modern classic Beezer . It would be a crime to clutter this one with multiple gadget screens . Enjoy 👍
