I tried pins saturday. As soon as i hit beach there was more seaweed than i've seen b4. Seaweed from water bk 20 to 30 feet on beach. And very thick. I went 2 miles and all i could see was seaweed. I turned around and went to mustang island by fishpass jetties. Very lil seaweed. Got 4 whiting and 1 pomp. Not the best day but it was still great. Watching others enjoy being on beach brings me joy. Kids, dogs, vacationers. It's all good. I thank God for opportunities to be on the beach.
I won't even throw the line out with much seaweed in the water. Last time I just went to the backside of the island where they are going to build the new park. Caught a 37" bull red on cut pin fish.
Was a big problem for me at the Jersey Shore ( Island Beach State Park ) even back in the late 60s-80s when those conditions presented themselves, drove down to Barnegat Inlet, sometimes better if not, just relax & enjoy, was, felt good to be back in the world !
Dang man, got some Negative Nelly's on here. I feel your pain, brother. Been fishin PINS for over 40 years. Sometimes when I have a shitty Sargasso day like that, I just roll em up, become a Birdwatcher and chill. Live to fight another day.
I remember all the seaweed I dealt with last year. It was extremely frustrating. I was there this last July during hurricane Beryl. I fished the next day and did pretty good and didn’t get any seaweed Surprisingly
Could be worse - you could've gotten NAILED BY A BIG STINGRAY like I did yesterday at PINS, mile marker 5! Went all the way through my foot; excruciating pain!!! At least I caught a few nice bull redfish the previous day - 27" and 36"!!! Scott/BPG
All caps oh my. Come on there we're always a lot of tourists in both places. One person isn't the reason! I've been going since I was 14 or 15 with my Mom and I took my girls so one person isn't the reason. Also with more people it helps keep people working. Have a nice day
This is why you should have gone to 2 rods and gave them more weight you have the rods that can handle it your fault and this is why I will only have one rod out like that but fish on
I'll tell ya guys this was a rough one dealing with the seaweed. I moved three times and still way too much Seaweed. Done for the day not forever.. 😮

You know the old saying “The worst day fishing is better than the best day working.”

I usually don't either but at first it was good then wind picked up and seaweed came in

I wouldn't have stopped with all that grass on beachfront. Great to see you!😊

I’ve seen the seaweed way worse than that!! It’s been over ankle deep before. Caught some of my best fish with weed. Never give up😅
We were there Saturday..ugh!! Weed was awful and current crazy... couldn't catch a thing without some kind of seaweed.😢.
Man, I hope that stuff stays your way! New sub from my channel to yours. Hope you have a great New Years!

I got a 37.5” red about that day mm6, and watched 3 guys get a big red around mm5. I’m getting reef shoes. The End.
Looked like a great day to be out there anyway
Cool Video!
Should have waited for the tides to change
I did tide was coming in
When the seaweed is coming it's unfishable. Head to the bays.
I’d left or just done something else when I pull up and see that much sea weed
😂😂😂 i wonder why that happened... we set spiders for a reason..
wouldn't have mattered seaweed would have pulled the line
@@texasbeachbum newbies crack me up

That shit started in 1995 when the internet came to be! Not his fault.... Dayem!
You think you can keep 60 miles of undeveloped pristine beach quiet forever??? Haha
You gonna blame this guy???
Brilliant.

Too much sewage in the water causing algae etc. Sad
