    You are amazing Voja, a modern Renaissance man; excellent design and calm presentation skills. As a super-beta tester you drive the e-ink industry forward with your intelligent functions oriented review/critique. Standards are a two edge sword though, as it can stymie creativity for the leaders such as SuperNote. Its intriguing that your opt for both SuperNote and Quaderno formats for the same MDO & MMP - one wonders how you juggle between them (let alone all the others you are attempting to track in their updates). WELL DONE as always - the most productive person out there AND has gone through house moving at the same time!

    • @MyDeepGuide
      @MyDeepGuide  Год назад +1

      Thank you very much :) Well, The Quaderno sits on the side with filled in schedule for the day, and I literally use it like I would use a Notepad, with daily notes for the daily schedule, so the passive one. Supernote is my Power Notebook, the one where I do all of the chaos of the day, the active one. I tried using the MDO and MMP on the Supernote, while using everything else, but I found it more convenient to have the schedule list staying there, without the need to "flip back to it". However, with the update 2.9 and the ability to integrate MDO and MMP into a Supernote Notebook and utilize links and titles there, I am very much so looking at changing up my workflow and using the MDO and MMP on the Supernote as well, because that opens up a lot more connections in the existing workflow :)

    You’re videos have been so helpful to me since I first started researching e-ink tablets. I accidentally came across the idea while trying to decide to get an iPad or not, and I am so glad I didn’t get an iPad! At first, I didn’t know how I’d use the link feature. But it is invaluable to me as a way to jump to charts and drawings from my chemistry notes instead of taking up space on each page to draw them out. Now I just put a link to the exact chart I need in a different notebook altogether and it really helps me flow through note taking so much easier. Thank you so much for all you do to help people learn how to use this device practically!

    I loved my supernote, but the lack of a backlight as I got older was just a deal breaker. Couldn't use it in anything other than perfect conditions and that was a bummer, because it worked great. I get their stance, I just hope somebody will make something of the same build quality and feature set, but with a backlight, and they'll have my money so fast. Was hoping the lenovo paper would do it, but that's clearly not going to happen.

    • @jerome5969
      @jerome5969 8 месяцев назад

      This is the only thing holding me to buy a supernote, they’re the best but as getting older we need some backlight to compensate since e-ink is darker compared to actual paper. Reviews in youtube usually have best light settings but not in real life.

    Thank you for this video and your work, I've followed you for a while, always enjoying your reflections about those devices. And I agree with you on the fact that e-ink devices should aligned themselves with a standard (in fonctionality and why not one day in the note format they use...).
    The Supernote is truly the best device for writing and organizing notes and this is a prove of that and is the closer to a paper notebooks in the digital world (after all, we can use a table of contents in a notebooks using tabs or post-its for example). The table of content is truly a must in those devices.

I came from the Remarkable ecosystem as well as having ventured a bit into the Boox world and for my needs the Supernote product keeps leapfrogging these products and are my making note taking and organization better with each upgrade. Thanks Voya for sharing your usecase scenario and your thoughts. I agree that exporting the Table of contents as boomarks in the PDF exported file would be brillant. I hope the Ratta team has this or will add it on its roadmap (which is public on Trello). Other users use the Supernote differently. In my case, I do field investigation, and simply add each interview I make as a title. I typically have a table of content of 4 or 5 pages at the end of an assignment. It would not be feasible to do table of content, in addition to the internal links. So I do hope this feature will be added soon.

If you do not enjoy using it every day, then I think you should better save your money.

    the "export all" would really be a great thing to do; that would qualify as project export in my book, and making the SN a step closer to be usable as project management tool in larger scope scenarios.
    Still lacking on the todo/calendar side, but you already know my take on that aspect. I like how you organize your work; although I noticed that you do not have any requirements in terms of follow up or external obligations/collaborations or deadlines; so this workflow is more feasible, compared to scenarios where you have deadlines to finish specific tasks or when you need to follow up on different objectives with other people for example... That is where complexity goes off the scale, and simple links won't do anymore.

    It seems like a good practice for building a TOC would be to leave a blank page, and then retroactively add "chapter" titles as you build your note file. That way pre-planning is minimized, and the file can flex with you.

    I am waiting for the A4X2 with the replaceable batteries, yet a few short days ago heard in another video that they are delaying the releas of A4X2 to the end of 2024 instead of the first quarter of 2024, so that was a huge disappointment.
    Since I love your detailed videos, can you make some comments in a video about this topic concerning the fact that an EU Court said that all phones and tablets to be sold in the EU must have replaceable batteries by 2027, which I think is an excellent long needed situation as the world should be considering conservation and not junking technology as soon as a battery wears out. That is totally ridiculous and it was not so much for waterproofness as it was to have a market needing to re buy devices over and over which is a hateful situation.
    So all your great points about how great the Supernote line has been is a major reason why I would like that A4X2 when it comes out and I highly respect that they are the ones to first announce this plan for replaceable batteries.
    Also, can you mention how Onyx Boox MIGHT be doing it as I also would like an A4 sized device in colour from Onyx Boox and sure hope they are as quick as possible to use replaceable batteries too. What are your expectations, for all these eReader/Note taker companies that you provide reviews concerning, on the topic of replaceable batteries and the fact that once it is necessary for the EU market, how likely are the manufacturers do do it for all markets as it should be the rule everywhere, as it is a resource that should also allow melting down of old batteries to create new ones.
    There are also devices that allow the battery to be turned off and the device, like a tablet, to be simply plugged in without it harming the battery, and that is designed that way to also conserve battery power for only the times when the user is away from a power source like a plug in socket. One tablet that does do this is the Samsung Galaxy Active4 Pro, but it is only 10.1 in size... But as it can also be used as a phone and has NFC, I am beginning to think I should get one, as at least a 10.1" is way better than a 6.8" screen on a phone which I find is hardly very helpful, as I do have one of those given I need a device with NFC.
    That is why I have been extremely upset that the Fujitsu A4 sized Quaderno Gen 3 in colour has not yet come out as it is expected to have NFC. So do you have any insight as to why there has been a delay for so long?
    Do you have a way to contact Ratta directly and ask about the newest estimated release date of the A4X2?
    Thanks for your always very well done reviews.
