Painful to watch
The slow death began when the channel was averaging like 40k views per video. You can't blame them for wanting to move over to Sky, there are probably people whose livelihoods depend on the success of these videos. They may get more views on Sky so it benefits them. It's the same videos.

This, since they took over the content feels the same media boring shit, I'm so glad Zac and pato started there own stuff because it feels like people can actually express there thoughts without being worried about backlash/criticism from bosses

Honestly, they deserve their Sky bag after working for nearly a decade on the unstable platform of RUclips. Yeah, it’s disappointing we don’t get the same regular content, but things come and go, and they deserve all the success they’ve gotten.
what Zac & Pato are doing is kinda like the reboot of FD. They've been pushing out great stuff for a while now.

The whole point of FD is that it was football content on RUclips, not mainstream TV. Mainstream is not the way forward sadly but the higher ups at Sky clearly disagree…

It's not sad it's good because there was never very good but it was football content so hopefully somebody else will jump in their place with passion instead of caring about money

Looks like it’s still on RUclips, no need to pay, just go to the Sky Sports Premier League channel. Shame no longer under the Football Daily IP but at least it’s still there and accessible

Yeah ever since i saw them pop up on Sky related stuff i thought..ahhh shite...Some of the other big hitters like Athletic picked off some of the other good content creators and brought them into their fold as well...
So football daily is done ? A part of me wants to cry . This is the end . Thank you for all the memories . This channel has been with me for 7 years and I miss all the content . I came across this channel when I was in my final year of high school and I’m currently finishing my Masters. This channel has been my source of football content throughout. It hurts.
Similar story here my guy. Found the boys when I was leaving school watched all through college and kept up into the real world. Inevitable that change had to come for them too. I'm sad we're losing them to sky but I'm glad they made out of it well

Hearing Hamil's last "you dirty dogs" hit different on this one. Football Daily will be missed, but Im proud of the boys for moving on to bigger and better things. End of era. I truly feel old after watching this. 😔🤧

I’m really getting tired of big corporations ruining good authentic RUclips channels. Copa90 spring to mind r.e. Football but same with Donut, Hoonigan etc. Hopefully you guys still find the success you guys want on sky and best of luck! Hoping it stays mostly the same and Joe being on sky has been great. Just sad that it’s not still under the FD banner.
Same with Fitment Industries as well. Although, it’s good to see the people who made a name for themselves in those channels jump ship when they were bought out. Zach and Jobe from Donut went on to make their own channel and same here with Joe and Zac. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do and didn’t become a puppet for the money by doing BS advertisements etc. Really sucked, though, to see the wave of “Why I left (insert big channel name here)” videos over the last couple of years. However, I think it’s good that we’re getting more free, creative, and passionate content than the scripted, agenda driven content we would’ve gotten if the fan favorite creators stayed.

This is the slow death of our favourite football RUclips channel. SKY wins with their money unfortunately. Can't even blame you guys as it's a massive opportunity
I can’t believe that I found FD in 2014 when it was Laurence McKenna, Adam, and StatmanDave (formerly from Squwaka) & Co., then evolving into Joe Pat and Chris in 2016, introducing the podcast and listening to every episode, bringing Sunday vibes to a new pub, seeing all of the people I was so critical of when they joined the team become greats. I will always be thankful for the hours I spent listening to and watching FD content. It was such a formative part of my teenage years and early adulthood.
I still remember the story of Dougie shitting himself on a mountain, I think that was the moment I really came around on him. Thank you Mccubs and Dougie and others behind the scenes for keeping the lights on as long as you did. You deserve all the flowers.
I truly hope the best in all of the FD family’s future endeavors, and hope to be able to capture some of the joy that this channel has brought me over the years.

End of an era
This is the FIRST FD video ive watched since pato left... Hamill, Pato and Joe (as we all agree) were the perfect 3 across the space, be it together or individually. That aside, Dougie and Mcubbs are fantastic reserve options and have done their upmost since the main 3 have stepped back. I keep the notifications on for old times sake and to remember how much i love and value this channel as THE football channel on youtube for me! This will be my goodbye to FD and the team as a whole as a viewer and im so glad i was here for the ride since about 2015.

the sad part is myself and assume a lot of people who used to watch FD, liked watching a community based channel that would celebrate and talk about football
now that a company like sky sports has it, it feels so much less personal and collaborative based

This hurts, as an American, this was the only way to get real European football content. I only have Zac and pato now to watch with the occasional Joe Tomlinson content now. I’m rooting for the personalities of football daily to make it on their own because I’ll be watching them exclusively now

You guys got me through a very rough time during covid. I was a rookie policeman and was working away from home in a new city, no people around, just patrolling duty.
With this channel it felt a little bit less lonely.

Come on guys. I'm glad your careers have reached a new level, but lets not pretend we are going to be happy this channel has been put down. This was an alternative to mainstream punditry, and now the corporation that has virtually monopolised premier league coverage has absorbed this too. Best of luck though because you have made a real impact and deserve the success
Honestly this is very sad, but has been going in this direction for a while. Happy for all the former FD members tho, and hopefully the new content is as good. Question to Dougie, will there be some kind of reiteration of Continental Club on sky, or something similar?

This is so weird, having been a follower of the channel since 2015. You guys really got me into football, and you were the primary source of entertainment when I was at uni. So sad I never got the internship due to COVID and the Brexit rules, but thank you so much for everything you've all done over the years!

Why do I feel like crying 😭😂 still watch old Stat Wars when I’m bored. Really was the highlight of my day and week sometimes when continental club, team talk, Sunday vibes, etc was uploaded. Such a shame sky bought it and killed the channel. Won’t be anything like it again and RUclips football wise will never be the same again. Over to Djellab’s channel as that’s the closest we’ll come to! Appreciate you all guys, got me feeling emotional!

FD shaped how I view football. And I vouch for the "just start doing something" advice. I did. Started with a blog & socials, moved to a podcast... now I look forward to kicking off a second season covering Bundesliga with a weekly newsletter for one of the most respected outlets in my country. Among other things. It's still a hobby, a side hustle, but I already came a long way. And a lot of what I do can be traced down to watching this channel as a young adult from 2016ish onwards. Was great seeing the channel grow so much over the years. From the origins of chris, pat and joe on sunday vibes to the addition of all the other new team members and shows which made this channel special.
It really seemed like the channel was ready to explode early last year before the rug was pulled from under it, really sad to see.

I’m actually about to cry i grew up with you guys been watching since like 2016/17 when i was just a little kid who was way to obsessed with football to now being an adult who’s ever wag more obsessed with football😂 and i’m so grateful that you have been a part of that. I personally blame whoever runs hiring and talent. It’s extremely normal for faces of brands to love on to bigger and better things so seeing Pat, Chris, Joe etc leave isn’t surprising but not bringing in new fresh faces is what killed them. Just poor management but I am happy for all the lads, go get your money!
The “Dirty Dogs” line from Chris takes you down to the memory lane. Loved the content over the years guys. Was really happy when one of my question was featured back in 2017 sunday vibes. Thank you for everything guys. Pat, Chris and Joe will gor ever be the favourites.
It’s really sad to see football daily coming to an end. Grew up watching it, loved it and very glad to have experienced it. Although I want Football daily to stay and somewhat come back with everyone from the past, it’s great everyone is progressing in their own journeys and at least there is still the possibility to listen to you guys on other channels/platforms. Take big credit with the journey and growth of everyone who has been part of the channel, you are all the best at what you do.

I’m crying…I grew up with you guys. My way of thinking and knowledge of football has grew exponentially because of (E)FD. I started as a kid, now I’m 24. Finishing my bachelor, an amateur level football training at my local club. In 2 months I’m starting my youth level coaching degree. I can’t thanks u guys enough. I’m heartbroken but thankful and eternally grateful. You dirty dogssssss❤
I’m from the US and there isn’t (in my opinion) a better channel to watch over the last at least 3 years! Seeing the cast come and go has been sad and I wish them all the best! This is so desperately sad to see. Cannot believe that Sky have done this to this channel and there’s absolutely no fightback. Been watching these videos for literally 10 years. Both EFD and FD. First it was EFD to vanish. Now FD. All for a big corporation, can’t blame you lot as I know you need to get paid. But all the memories, all the nostalgia just gone within the space of a year. Not everyone can go onto tv at designated times to watch stuff. RUclips is great because you can watch anytime you want. How has this been allowed to happen?😢
