I think Tag Heuer nailed it with this one. I love the size, 40mm is my sweet spot, I always felt the 43mm was too big. The dial is beautiful and the 6 o'clock date really improves the symmetry.
I felt 41 was puny on my wrist mind you i ain't a giant. Even the guys at boutique told me 43 suited me more.
I have the blue aquaracer. 40mm is the best size, that was the reason cause i buy it
As an owner of this watch - I agree! I find this watch to be extraordinary. The design is amazing, quiet luxery and just so right for every situation.
Tag Heuer absolutely got this one right. From the size, to the numerals, to the dial. The corrected the mistakes from the previous one for sure.
Agreed!
Great review btw. My personal take. On photos and videos the watch kinda looks.. okay. In person, is when its beauty shines. However, a real good watch should look good both on/off screen. Hopefully, Tag Heuer will offer it in ceramic bezel version or make the bezel available as a upgradable standalone part, to replace it from steel to ceramic for those who want to.
I’m thinking of purchasing this as my first proper watch, what do you think ?
There are better watches a lot cheaper! Dont buy
@@Not_me9791Such as?
Too expensive for what you get. Pnly recommend if you dont care about money
@@Not_me9791no one cares about that. People buy because they love the look. No one knows what an oris is but everyone knows what a Tag is.
the bracelet, clasp and case are beautiful !
i don't know which ar coating they are using but even in the sunlight this watch is crazy legible on pair with Omega!!
That blue dial colorway is gorgeous!
I like these more than the 43mm, though that ceramic bezel is nice on that model. I never quite thought the cyclops fit. Not because I hate a cyclops on a watch (I have one on my King Turtle), but the circular cyclops was incongruent with the rest of the watch being so angular. The move to the 6 o'clock date all around has been brilliant. That is my ideal location for a date. The blue is absolutely stunning, while the grey is beautiful, yet understated. Changes? 1 or 2 more micro-adjusts would be ideal, but I can't really complain about anything else. The lume colour differences are well thought out, and that is one impressively thin watch. Sure, a more modern movement with 70+ hours of power reserve would be nice, but then it would certainly be at a different price point. I think these are priced well for what they offer. Well done, TAG Heuer.
First tag I've seen that's almost perfect ,It's a shame they didn't do the same face on the quartz,It's nice the fade from grey and blue to black.
I love no date watches so the quartz is perfect to look at but with the date at 6 and no Cyclops I'll probably go for the auto, great review
Thank you Sir!
You mentioned the “hexagonal” shapes throughout the dial but I only see trapezoidal indices. You also mentioned a “hexagonal” bezel but it appears to be a dodecagon. One side for every hour marker. Beautiful watch.
I have tried this watch on and it is quite attractive. Smaller size is great for my 6.75 inch wrist. Standard movement with lower power reserve is what it is. If that matters to you, buy a different watch. The thing that made the least sense to me was the bracelet. Polished center links and no microadjust. All the marketing around this watch is that it is the ultimate tough tool watch (ice climbing, etc). The bracelet doesn't match that marketing. Would have to take the bracelet off immediately and replace it with a strap.
great review. the blue dial really pops. it's a shame it's not available as a quartz. i tried the silver face on recently and it looked incredible, but I think I prefer the blue now. 40mm is definitely the sweet spot.
But it is available as quartz. The quartz version doesn't have the day window though
@@romko4496 the deep blue face isn't, just the silver and black as far as I can see.
Can't imagine wanting quartz over auto 🫣
Check out the Tag WAZ1118.BA0875, or WBP1113.BA0000. Blue quartz with Day window. There are several.
Great review! This new model has peeked my interest quite a bit! I’m eyeing the blue dial one.
Thank you. The blue is definitely my favorite. Good choice.
I own this watch with the grey fume dial. Excellent watch
Been a log time since I saw a heuer I wanted. PCL would be refinished to satin.
I like this more than the 43 mm. I will pick up a grey dial one
Great choice!
thanks for a great review. personally i think the polished centre link is a downside, as it will scratch up very quickly. The lume pattern of the hand makes it look like a cheap repair was done with the wrong hands. The 2015 aquaracer nailed it for me, this just doesn't work - thank you so much for your review, convinced me its a no buy and to plump for the outgoing 2015 model
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed.
Great review by the way… I liked the steel bezel… You said hexagonal several times which cause me to find out what a 12 sided shape is called… “dodecagon”… who knew!
Thank you Sir, appreciate that. Haha i certainly didn't!
What Tag should have done was offer the 200 Pro with the classic navy blue ceramic bezel dual... On the Solargraph
Very nice indeed, the blue on the 300 is a bit subdued, but this one really pops. I also like the polished centre links on the bracelet. One or two negatives, the bezel is no longer ceramic and the bezel itself makes less room for the dial which is too small for me.
Great review, thanks! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! Really glad you enjoyed.
Seen one of these in person and would buy one of these if offered a good discount lol
big upgrade in beauty of design
Agreed!
Best watch they’ve done for a while. Yes they’ve copied the nautilus but I like the the dial. Power reserve is still a massive disappointment though
I like the pro 200 more than the 300. The blue is beautiful but i hope they release green dial bcs for me it’s kinda look beautiful imo.
Got the green dial 2 weeks ago. Cost usd2400
I bought it the other day blue model aweasom.
I prefer the old Aquaracer. The old quartz version even has a date & has 300 meters water resistance!
Cool watch
Not a fan of the polished centre links but otherwise a great looking watch!
Mine is already on order. Cheers!
Enjoy it!
What is the lug width n clasp width? Can you share? the 43mm version has 21.5 mm lug width
I want to know this as well hoping it’s not anothe daft size
Small point, but significant: the bezel is NOT hectagonal, but decadohedronal. Count the sides: 12. :-)
Question: love the stainless steel look, but contemplating the titanium version for the Aqua Racer only bc I want to minimize the amount of micro scratches over the years. How durable is the Tag Stainless Steel from scratches compared to the Titanium over the multiple years?
Perfekt, but I miss the first 15 minute marc on the bezel.
Except for the size, I prefer the aquaracer 300 in every other way. I prefer the hour markers, I prefer the inside cyclops, I prefer the ceramic bezel. I hope they keep the 300 design for a while. At least until I save up enough money to buy one. (Unless they make one exactly the same design with a 40mm size, which would make it perfect)
Great review, Like You I have a Tudor BB Red, planning to get the Ceramic Tag Heuer Aquaracer or Longines Hydroconquest next, which would be you choice, I notice you rate both on previous reviews
Hey Keith, thanks for the comment! If it was me I would have to go for the Tag Heuer as I prefer the design. With that said the Longines movement is on paper better and i prefer the rubber strap to the Tag... it's a difficult one!
Why the bracelet is brushed and polished is for many people buying this tag it will be their only watch so they can wear it everyday or as a dress watch. Not many real collectors would buy this watch.Look at the Longines hydro conquest for over 1 k less it has a better movement but the Tag has a better bracelet and both are everyday watches. But if someone gave me this tag for sure I would wear it but as my beater watch. And one last thing who would spend this much money on a watch that has less power reserve than you do.But honestly I love this watch.
Beatifull watch tag heuer good watch same quality omega
Are there a quartz version of the same watch?
Yours chanel is great. Nice review like always.
I appreciate that, thank you!
Polygonal bazel
Im really unsure to if I should buy it or not. I have a thin wrist, so im afraid of the lug to lug size. You think its i problem? 😬
Not at all! I have thin wrists also and it fits like a charm.
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial Nice to hear, my wrist is 6.5 inches so yeah maybe I should try it out in-store before i buy :)
' according to our...our thing ' Brilliant 😂 .
By the way, a great all round tool watch. I really like what they've done.
Love this! 😍
Such a great review
Thank you! Appreciate that.
Need help!! 😢 I have a 7” wrist a 300 or a 200 aquaracer??
Are discounts offered at ADs for TAG Heuer watches?
weight 81 grams?
Can I microadjust not using tools?
I've seen this one yesterday. It didn't have the tool-less microadjustment like 2021 aquaracer models. It has almost the same microadjustment like Rolex Easylink. You can pull out a small section of link inside the clasp like Easylink.
Hi , can you a coparasion to aquarace 41 ? And which one you think is a dressy watch?
We can! As soon as we get these models in we will do a VS video.
What is the lug to lug on these?
6:16 they're called vernier calipers... and yes as long as they're not damaged they are infact exact 😅
Great review. One issue though. There is no lume on the bezel. This is rather strange for a professional diver.
Iis the lug 20mm?
So a dive watch that can’t be used as a dive watch ? (No lume pip or triangle at the 12 o clock position on the bezel).
Also having tried this on - I must say that the crown sticks out waaaaaay too far and distracts from the rest of the watch. They have also used the old calibre 5 again instead of their impressive new movement TH20-00.
Those three changes made to this and you have one solid release !
Why is it so expensive can you a comparison to the regular aqua racer 41?
I could... would you like a VS video?
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial yes. Thank you!
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial hi waiting for the comparison 😄
The bezel doesn’t have lume. It bothers me lol
Lug width?
What is your wrist size?
Thanks, appreciate that. This was an interesting read!
too bad it still using ancient ETA 38 hours power reserve
Same as Breitling and IWC :)
Your ''ting'' is called a digital caliper.
Thank you! I totally forgot when filming.
This guy keeps repeating he is a photographer well enough man and funny Scottish accent I need a translator mate!
time to ditch the 38 hours 2824... it is wasting the effort on the design and the finishing!
Dial is going to cause an epileptic seizure...
Looks cheap compared to the previous models, almost like a start up watch.
So this is essentially a poor man's yachtmaster since the bezel isn't lumed making it less than ideal as a diver.
no diving helmet on the case back, watch ruined
What you mean “diving helmet”?
@@mehmetaliertan the cool little engraving on the back used to be a diving helmet. now its a compass or star
Bezel action is awful, the watch looks cheap! If ur review was in the opposite way, you know nothing about watches or you have been paid!!😂😂😂
Can you help me understand the serial number on TAG watches. It's supposed to be the second number below the model, but if that's the case then there are often MANY listings with the same serial number. Wouldn't these be counterfeit? Example is WBD1112.BA0928 Look it up somewhere and you can see for yourself. Even Chrono 24 at times. Perhaps I'm missing something? Thanks for the GREAT videos!
