    Would you agree that starting out as an appointment setter is a great way to build confidence and learn the skill required to eventually transition to being a sales rep or a “closer”?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  Год назад +9

      100%. That is the route I took myself. I owe a lot of success to my days being a setter then transitioning to a closer role. You will have to feel that within yourself. I tend to say aim high and if that means trying a closer position, so be it... to see if you pull through or not. Best scenario you pull through and is in a good place. Worst thing is you realize you need more confidence and repetitions, go for setting positions.

    Where did u find your job or how did U find it?

    Hi, great video. How would you suggest a 17 yr old guy(me) to get into sales. I am genuinely very passionate, curious and interested into sales, and willing to work totally for free just in order to gain experience and most importantly, knowledge. How did you learn sales? Was there some exact way, like, paid trainings/coachings/masterminds/courses/books all that + practice or just by practice ?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey, I will suggest that working for free is not the right move. Trainings/ coachings/ masterminds/ courses/ books.. all of these things are great but the more important experience is to find a company with good leadership and learn from/ with them. That's how I improved the most. And when you are in a role, then the books/ additional sales coaching really helps as you have the company's script together with your own real conversations with prospects to reference and relisten to. So find a good reputable company, land the role and soak in all the training - coaching programs and masterminds are just extras imo. I landed a role at 18/19 with no experience and what they taught me then is still what I use today. You can send me a message on instagram if you want more advice, books, masterminds, coaching as such as I've done quite a few programs in high ticket sales.

    Where did you get youre first job? I want to start this aswell but im not sure weher to look. Reddit? Upwork? Fiverr? i also dont have any prior experience, it seems like companies only want to hire people how have already been doing this for 2+ years, and i cant even blame them for it...

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  2 месяца назад +1

      I joined communities and networked. Met one person that was willing to introduce me to a sales manager of a tech company, interviewed and hired with no prior experience. The sales manager now is a real good friend, he told me a year later why he hired me was because I'm calm under pressure. Startups/ companies at $100-300k/mo, usually 5-6 sales people from my experience have prioritized personal traits over paper experience. If you are too "overqualified" they suspect you wont stick around for long and will jump at the next best opportunity. There are companies out there, FB, LinkedIn, IG and its all about how you present yourself and carry a conversation

      @@f.ernestovasquezg7083 you can start with researching the people who are domaniting the industry. In sales look for profiles that appeal for sales people, you do not necessary need to join paid groups, more often than not they will all have a free group where you can interact and engage

    Do people living in developing countries(3rd world) have opportunities for remote sales representative?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  3 месяца назад +1

      They do. What's important that many employers worry about is accent and internet connection. If you have a strong accent it will be harder to put your name in the hat for certain companies. Find companies that hire internationally, there are companies that prefer to hire from UK, US, AUS, CA etc. (english speaking countries), ignore them and keep looking for those open to hire where you are located. Just make sure that you properly show that you are willing to work, able to work and can perform the work they are requiring you to do and you have a good chance of succeeding

    Where to get a job as a remote sales rep?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  Год назад +1

      there are 3 main channels
      recruiters
      job posts
      your own network/ connections
      Find, reach out, connect, move the needle forward depending on what you are looking for

      @@DavidGiangany website or something similar like that where you can get good job opportunities?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang  Год назад

      @@beepboop8686 Indeed, linkedIn jobs, commission crowd are common websites to find job posts - Filter/ search for words under "Remote" and "Sales positions" "entry sales positions" "remote closer" "remote setter"
      You can search High ticket Sales recruiter on any social media platform like linkedin/ FB to find recruiters
      You can search same thing High Ticket Sales jobs and join FB groups and start making connections from there
      I personally like to utilize of my current network/ networking to get jobs. I can do a more indepth video on that.
      Jobs from websites and FB groups are often high competition and lower income opportunities, which is hard especially if you are new with no previous experience or know how to tackle questions in interviews that ask "what's your experience".
