    I did a lot of chip and seal on Ky. highways. Saves time and money on paving. But instead of using the loader to put down the rock, we tightened the tailgate chains all the way, tripped the tailgate, and backed the dump trucks over the oil, spreading the rock enough to cover the oil. Also used the hand bar on our oil distributor just to chip and seal cracks in the roads.

    How long will this last before it needs fixing again with regular car travel in a residential subdivision traffic?

    Compared to pavement, what does this cost?

      steviegene about half the price of asphalt.

    So this tar and not liquid asphalt? I ask because I think sometimes people say tar for simplicity.
