The reason why the results don't look that good is because the result depends on your viewport position, if you're too zoomed out the result will be too low res for the model, also depending on what angle you're looking from. Another feature to consider is generating using a depth map, as it improves the result significantly.
Also the results depend highly on the model you're using, prompts for the cobblestone texture were too simple, SD 2.1 requires a more detailed description of what you're looking for.

I always make the default cube a hero!!
Even though AI is quite powerful, I still feel like it takes away a learning curve or skill check or the experience-builder that is required for these kinds of things to improve an actual artists skills... but of course many people can jump off this to get a boost or quick projects done, but I feel it takes a lot away from the personal aspect of unique and individual art at this point, but I have used AI a lot before too so it goes both ways!!

Definitely a cool tool that I am going to use immediately. I have already been using MidJourney for image generation. I've used it mostly for floor and landscape textures in Unreal Engine, it can make some very unique designs, one of which I actually did a little bit of touching up to in Photoshop and it might make it to the final version of the game.
With AI as a concept though, I am pragmatic about it. I understand that it is concerning but, the genie is out of the bottle, at this point all you can do is learn to use it. Complaining about it and not learning to utilize it won't make it go away. I feel like AI to millennials is computers to boomers, some boomers decided to embrace it and are better for it, while others pretended they could live without computers and have effectively made themselves unable to operate in modern society.

Just as digital artists replaced hand-drawn artists in many industries because it is faster and more flexible while many traditional artists cried that digital isn't real art. Artists who can work _with_ AI tools will likewise thrive as the AI tools will help improve their workflow and output.

I guess in 10-20 years time , we will have UI free Blender where we will talk to AI avatar to create anything. It is already fascinating to see the capabilities of the AI and its implications. By the way, as much as I could try prompts on several platforms it comes to the video ram size where the resolution is capped. Of course the training resolution is important but it doesn't limit it. And unfortunately none of the current outputs are production worthy but for mere testing prototyping.

I don't quite see any benefit of using it as a blender plug-in yet. Projecting depth "texture"? Useless.
Generating 2D textures? Automatic1111 works just as well including seamless bit and a wide variety of memory options and upscaling.
I can generate 1024 textures natively with -medvram and do a single upscale to 2048 with 768*768 pieces on a 3080. If I had 24Gb GPU I'd be able to do even better.
One thing that was nice in this implementation is nice categorization of prompts - ie "close up shot", "Full color", "long exposure" etc, instead of a very long list of carefully crafted prompts in automatic1111.

10:50 - no! even as a background it's a trash. Maybe there are some parameters to generate it longer but with much better results?
It's definitely didn't took all the important 3d details as the information about "what house it will be".

How do we know if the training data for the AI models were obtained with permission? You don't want to get into legal problems later on.

This is ultimately going to be a market of the future. Ethical data models. Going to need to be an easy way to audit the data sets. I'm somewhat shocked this wasn't tackled upfront.

Oh that shipped a very very very very long time ago ;)
GameFromScratch was actually the name of the blog from well over a decade ago. The intention of course was to document the creation of a game from scratch (well duh). Then I started making more and more tutorials as I was exploring tech, first tech like LibGDX and later SFML, then engines like Godot. At the point I started the RUclips channel, it was to create tutorials to supplement the website, so I kept the same naming.
... and years later, here we are.

These AI stuff is taken over the world, feel sorry for all the professors in universities asking students for 1000 research papers, or all the concepts artiest around the world, all the pro programmers .. ets .. now Ai can make their work sometimes even better and in many many verities and won’t take them seconds.. and the scary thing is that this is just the start.. imagine 5 years from now when the Ai become even way more smarter… ppl can have the full knowledge of how to make Nuclear..

would be cool if stable diffusion wouldnt have build almost their entire database on stolen work. Skim through the social media channels of big artists, especially illustrators and a LOT are against it and have even seen part of their signature and past works on stable diffusion generations, all without compensation.
So yea, using SD in blender if you want to actually make money with it, is copyright dubious at best and also exploitative of the artists who build its database against their will.
Cool thing if it was ethical, but sadly it isnt
