I bike all the time. I find it frustrating that every time a driver has a go on my life, they have a problem with how i react. Mate you nearly killed me... learn how to handle being told how to act, rather than telling me how to react
The least the driver should do is admit that they caused the situation. There are however some junctions that make it impossible for drivers and cyclists to always safely interact. One route I regularly use has a junction where the hedge makes it impossible to see cyclists coming without poking the nose of the vehicle (slowly) into the cycle lane. I'm always careful at that junction but ultimately I should be complaining to the local council and so should the cyclists to encourage them to change the layout to keep everyone safe. I hope that as you get more and more cycle paths, so the drivers in your area start to realise that it is their duty to also slow for cyclists. My "area" is the Netherlands and pretty much all of us are both cyclists and drivers. Naturally we still have crashes, but it seems that the awareness is so much higher and the cycle lane infrastructure keeps the two forms of transport separate as much as possible and so increases safety.
Yes I agree. I do have a go at the council in my area, infact, 3k's back from there, I we got them to put a no-entre on some of the junctions, which as helped 10 fold. Be safe out there 👍🏾
Slow down? How would he know how fast you were going if he didn't look? Alternatively, he did look, saw you well enough to assess your speed accurately, & chose to pull out anyway.

100% correct m8.
I can't get over the size of that cycle lane, mad!
Well apart from the giveway paint on the road, what you say is more than enough for the driver to see it & act accordingly 😑
Poor driving, no excuses. Slow down, that extra 20 seconds is not worth having a crash
Lucky there kiddo
