Razer DeathAdder v3 Wired Review - Is 8000hz Worth The Wireless Trade Off?

  • I was pretty underwhelmed by the release of the DeathAdder v3 release at a price point of $70. But I realized I've never had a chance to check out Razer's hyperpolling OR the new Deathadder shape, I figured it would be worth.
    But is it worth it to drop that kind of cash for what is seen as the next big thing in gaming?
    The Razer Deathadder v3 shape is great, but it's probably better to go with the wireless version... if you can afford to drop that kind of cash.

    Imagine thinking there is no practical use for wired mouse. For starters you don't ever have to worry about the battery dying or having to charge it.

      I've been testing some of my old dusty gems lately such as ul2, xm1, mm720, xm1 etc and frankly, don't mind the wire one bit. I still prefer wireless, but the more outrageous the prices get, the less i mind wire to save more than double.

    I don’t buy wired for the polling rate. I buy it because I don’t want to spend 140 dollars on a mouse that I have to charge and will die within a couple years as the lithium battery stops holding a charge. You should be able to use a mouse for a decade

    Your review does make total sense, and if you consider the MSRP of all mice the DAV3 wired doesn't make a lot of sense.
    But in my case it did since I was able to snag one for right about $30. So $100 under what the wireless version is running, and $60 under the pulsar.
    Already had a bungee so the cable is honestly a non issue for me. Works great and I love the mouse so far!

I enjoy the 1000 polling rate and have NO ISSUES with it 1000hz. I was also using the G-WOLVES Hati mouse which is honeycomb style like my Glorious Model D- but I don't really like it all that much. Well Ill be bacl to lace yall up about how I feel/enjoy the New Deathadder V3. Btw real quick... I LOVE wired mice.. I have about 700$ in wireless mice lol and don't use them lmao.

      yeah it is pretty similar to the matte coating you'd find on the GPX. only time will tell if it holds up. Logitech's coating seems to generally speaking be more rubust/better at not wearing down, but that ends up being personal preference AND how long you go between refreshing/getting new mice.

    Neither the wired or wireless Deathadder V3 is made for the casual player. It eliminates any RGB and reduces features to focus on the best possible performance and to make it as light as possible. The mouse itself is a great buy, and as someone who owns the wireless version, I can definitely see this as a good alternative for those that want the best possible lightweight ergonomic mouse without breaking the bank. Though I do think 4Khz and 8Khz is definitely not worth it just yet as most games don't support it anyways and it doesn't give you a noticeable advantage. Most FPS pros still play on 1000hz or even 500hz and are still crushing it in Tier 1 esports.

    Save $100 and get all the features just by going wired. I have every version of the versions of the viper save the mini. The Original Ultimate, the V2 Pro as well as the V3 pro, Viper V3 Hyperspeed, also the Mamba wireless, the Naga Pro, Orochi V2, Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed, Mamba Elite, Deathadder Elite, and currently I'm running as my main the Deathadder V3 wired with a pulsar micro bungee. Bruh you're waaaaaay off the mark on this one. I'm a bit floored that you can't see saving $100 while losing nothing save being tethered to your PC as little or no value.

    Too much emphasis on wireless. Wireless is not a big deal for everyone. It's likely that if a person wants only wireless, then they don't need to be reminded constantly throughout the video. I recommend that you focus more on the actual performance of the mouse, along with its ergonomics and other aspects. Your assumption that a person who wants a wired mouse doesn't care about tech specs is not valid.
    I like to use my mice for years, so not having a battery that will eventually fail is important to me.
    The Techne mains this mouse (after having mained the wireless version) because he has found that the wired version of this mouse is structurally stronger than the wireless version, and doesn't flex in hand, which he can feel and is sensitive to.
    Just my two cents.

  • @rberger5603
    @rberger5603 Год назад +1

    I paid $55 dollars for this on Amazon (70 too much for a wired mouse, even a Zowie or Xtrfy). I'm probably going to send it back, as the scroll wheel has a very annoying sound (quite loud), and the clicks don't seem very good. I suppose it could be a bad unit, but that clacky scroll wheel is too much. I had a Deathadder v2 wired for $30 bucks, and, though it was kind of too fat in shape, had much better click speed than this v3 wired.
    I managed to snag a used Pulsar Xlite v2 for forty bucks. And yes, even though it just has 1000hz polling and mechanical switches, the Pulsar performs better in-game than the Deathadder v3 wired. You can always find a used Pulsar for a wired mouse price. Or even a Glorious Model D wireless, very similar in shape to the Deathadder.

    dude just paracord it and you have a better version of the DAV3 pro for half the price. 4-5g Less weight, 8khz instad of 4khz, infinite battery life and less latency because wireless still has some additional latency.
    With the stock cable the mouse is absolute ass, i agree. But paracorded its the best ergo you can buy right now.
    In games with framerate independent inputs 8khz feels absoutely incredible. That alone would be worth the paracord wire to me.

    • @brendandh3023
      @brendandh3023 Год назад

      Did u paracord it ?

    • @Brankokovac
      @Brankokovac Год назад +3

      You can’t just use any regular paracord to take advantage of the 8K signal, it actually requires more copper, hence the thicker cable

    • @Katze822228
      @Katze822228 Год назад

      I did paracord mine, 8khz works with no issues and in the razer pollling rate tester i still get 8khz, too. I bought my paracord from ceesa, I think he uses a bit thicker wires than dream cables for example maybe that helps, idk. But in use i feel no difference between my dream cables cable on my old mouse and the ceesa cable, both feel great. The main reason why the stock cable feels so awful is the thick shielding, I think that's required by law to be thicker for 8khz but paracords don't have any shielding and they still work.
      The only things that you need to be aware of is that the DAV3 uses a smaller internal connector so you can't just reuse an old paracord and the cable length can't be too long if you want to be able to still use 8khz. Ceesa recommended no longer than 1.6m to me but i went for 1.4m just to be save. I'm sure other paracord sellers will be able make paracords for the DAV3 aswell, maybe they have different length limitations if they use thinner wires. I asked Zerk gaming mods for example and they make them max 1.5m for the DAV3.
      Oh and you need a t6 screwdriver to open the mouse up. You might aswell add that to the cost of the mouse because you probably have to buy one. But it's still a lot cheaper and better than the wireless version imo.

      absolutely, I just wish we'd get cheaper/more affordable options for those who would prefer to use wired gaming mice. I'd love to see awesome wired options around the $50 and even $60 options as the best of the best for wired mice.
      when companies can offer incredibly solid competition in the wireless mice space for under $70, it kinda stings to drop that kind of cash on wired mice.
