I went shopping in Myendong and actually I was looking for pyjamas but as I was going to pay for it, the salesperson directed me to go 1 level down ( below road level) and there was this place that sells any 2 pcs of clothes for just 10,000 won! I forgot about the pyjamas and bought 2 sweaters instead 😂😂😂 Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the name of the shop 😝
I am from India and I am coming to Korea in February only for shopping with my mom. I am so excited and this video was really helpful. BTW I am bringing an empty suitcase just to fill it with dresses 😂
I am happy your still making videos. Your videos are really different neat beautiful and unique. I hope your family have a wonderful time in Korea. They are lucky to grow up there.
These underground shopping malls amaze me! I'm so glad you take the time to make your videos! Hopefully one day I'll make it to all these fascinating places! I'm also really enjoying catching up on videos I've missed!
What great tips on shopping! I watch a lot of videos on shopping in Korea but never had anyone mentioned on how to properly shop or bargain with the vendors. Very informative indeed..Are the underground shopping in Gangnam more expensive compared to the other underground shopping malls?
I think Express Bus Terminal might be cheaper for some things, because there are lot more shops & perhaps with more competition you can get better prices on some things. But you can't beat some of the prices I showed in the video. Gangnam is cheaper than Myeongdong's underground mall though. I think Gangnam has a few shops with trendier clothes compared to Express Bus Terminal.
Thank you for another informative video! Last time I went to Korea I didn't get to do a lot of underground shopping in Seoul, but hopefully I can next time!
Watched many young influencers vlog on Seoul shopping and really like your practical comments. Was worried how do I communicate with unfriendly shop keepers but I guess I will take your advice and be assertive!
Wish I saw this when I went to Seoul in October. But least I saw the video you filmed about Innisfree cafe and hence I paid a visit when I was there in Oct. Keep it up girl :)
I really love these sweaters 4:32 so colorful like confetti. I was In Korea in April and only did underground shopping in Myeongdong. But I will be back in March so will definitely check this one out😉
Really cool; I like watching these shopping videos. That cardigan is really pretty and looks great on you, Marie. Keep up the fun tips and tricks. God bless yours and you! :)
Hi Melissa!! Thanks I will have to keep the cardigan anyway bc no returns when dealing with the local markets :) I liked it too though. :) Hope you're having a great day!
Reall, informative and cool video, I hope I will be able to go shopping in an underground station when I'm in Seoul. Unfortunately we don't have those Underground Shopping Malls in Germany so I've never been to one before. The prices were actually, compared to german prices, really cheap and the items looked all so cool and cute, I might get poor while shopping in there 😣 I'm looking forward to your next video!
Would love to watch a video about where to find good quality clothes. Like fair trade, eco-friendly brands. The yellow/green sweater looks good on you. :)
Such kind of video is very interesting. One day I will go to Korea and visit Gangnam station. Please film more such kinds of video. ❤️⭐️🦋 I love your video!!!!
Shopppiiinnngggg! 😍 ❤😍❤ The yellow sweater looks good on you even though it is a bit oversize. Better than the pink one. ☺ Thanks for sharing tips and for this video. Well noted on the "communication/language" part, I'll keep that in mind for my next trip to South Korea. 😊
I loved the video! I enjoy looking at cheap clothes and then inevitably not buying anything...ehehe... Would you consider clothes from the Gangnam station to be just as cheap and/or on par with clothes found looking around Dongdaemun Market?
I think everyone gets their clothes wholesale from Dongdaemun, so it’s probably the same. But there are some brand name stores in Dongdaemun, so in that sense they might have better quality?
Thanks for the tips! I am visiting Seoul next week and I will be sure to check out the underground mall! Hopefully sizing will be ok! Because clothes never seem to sit on me properly :'(
Enjoy your trip to Seoul!! Hope you are able to find some nice stuff. I wish they would let you try the clothes on more often! Some stores allow it but not all.
Hi Marie Thanks for the helpful video I am thinking of visiting Seoul during the Seollal period. Can I know if most of the shops and restaurants are opened?
I went to Korea for a 20 days, it felt like I’m living there but it was fun. I didn’t try those market shoes they are good but try to fine the right size. 👌🏻
thank you for this video it's really helpful! but i have a little problem. i hate fast fashion! I don't want to pollute the environment and of course I definitely want to use my clothes for a long time maybe a few years. now, i want to ask you, Where do you suggest me to buy clothes? as i saw, i have to go and shop from luxury brands or buy a cheap and low quality thing from fast fashion stores. is there any convenient and reasonable choice between these two in south korea?
No, I prefer Goto mall. I think it's cheaper and they have a better selection. If you go during the winter you should be able to find it at both places. But I think the coats are more for looks than warmth, for warmth I'd buy brand name products.
Hi! It's in the Migliore store next to Doota (a giant 7-8 story building). On the upper floors they have accessories. Also the other adjacent stores may have it too. Also in the toy alley they have some hats and mittens and things like that. :)
I went there with a few other people during my trip to Korea and someone wanted to try on a sweater over her tshirt to see if it did fit and we got yelled at by some ahjumma because we where not allowed to actually try it on. Then we went looking at some other rack of nice sweaters and predicting if it would fit and the ahjumma kept looking at us and when we went she rushed to the rack to redo it. We didn't even pick anything out of the rack so it was still tidy and such but according to ahjumma we must have been the most dirty girls on the planet. We wondered how do Koreans know it would fit them perfectly if nobody is allowed to try it on?!
Lol, I'm terrible at it, at most I will get only 1-2000 won off ($1-2 USD). Be assertive, but friendly. If you buy more than one thing you're entitled to ask for a discount (most times people will tell me no).
@@MariesKawaiiWorld ug yess i can see trough many videos that are so many places, cafes, shopping malls, also makeup and some amusement parks etc i really wanna go so i need to even bring even more than expected money i guess lol but thanks for the video💗
Hi Marie I like the purple cardigan very nice, my tip to help you bargain is offer your prize if they say no, say ok I'll go and get it at ???? I can get it cheaper there, it works most of the time as they don't want to loss a sale to someone else. If you try it out let me now if it worked! 😀😍💖🎀🎄🎁🎅🤶🎊🎉

I have a question. If you buy the jacket like at 1:36 do you buy the whole outfit or is it just the jacket?
Just the jacket
oh ok
Hi Marie. I loved the purple duster. The sweaters are very pretty. The cheapest quality of clothes that I have are Forever 21. I love thrift stores.

No, not at the underground mall. Here you mostly have to pay in cash too. Thanks!

Does Korea include tax in the price? And would it be weird to try on the jackets or coats without asking?
