I have been drinking lemon, ginger, turmeric, and honey water. I've been drinking it for a few days now. I have lost belly fat, no more bloating. I have more energy. Less food cravings as well.
Thank you charmaine, I keep this in the fridge and have it cold each morning during the summer. In the winter I have it warm. I haven’t had a cold, flu or even a sniffle in years 💪
Thank you this is it!!! I don't need to look any further, I will ve making this. First video that popped up when searching this is yours and when you said you haven't been sick in years I knew it was THE ONE I WAS WANTING AND NEEDING!! WOW! CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH . NEW SUBSCRIBER
Are you not supposed to use a bit of black pepper to activate the curcumin in the turmeric? I have always read this. I am trying this for the first time and it tastes great! Thank you.
There are so many varieties to the tea, you can add coconut milk or whole milk as the fat enhances the body’s ability to absorb the key nutrients from the turmeric.. enjoy ☺️
Thought. I keep reading about adding a bit of black pepper with turmeric to assist the body in absorption. I can't help but wonder what a few peppercorns while simmering would do with this recipe...
Where the Ceylon or black pepper powder@? Cud ultimately save time by make a honey and ginger extract soak in a jar over over night in a crock pot, then u cud just add lemon powder(not citric acid) and a fatty base for the turmeric to heat up in the water like coconut or olive oil. in the the end wud be much faster cheaper and culinary…. Cheers mate here’s to a good cup of tea and a healthy day thanks for the inspiration
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it and found it inspiring. I should make another video including the fatty base and pepper and the other tips you mentioned. Have a great day.
Looks yummy!!! I´m going to give it a go. A few questions: can you add the honey while simmering it or just when you are pouring it? Once cool for how long can it be kept in the fridge? Also, I read that adding some black pepper is beneficial to "activate " the turmeric and all the goodness. Is it so or is it just personal taste?
Yes I often add black pepper too, it helps your body absorb the goodness from the turmeric, and yes you can add the honey while simmering. I keep a large jug in my fridge and it typically lasts about 4 or 5 days. Hope that helps. Please let me know how it turns out 🙂
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video. I prefer to simmer gently to avoid losing any of the key nutrients in the turmeric. It’s still a nutritions drink if you boil it rather than simmer.
Yes that’s absolutely fine. I would go easy with the turmeric powder at first. It will be quite over powering when just added to hot water. The health benefits are amazing though.
@@Mreffindelicious Great thanks so much. My son brought a lemon/ginger tonic by from Whole Foods and ya it was good, but stupid expensive.....how tricky can this recipe be;)
@@Mreffindelicious It's a 'lifer' now in my daily routine. The benefits were noticeable after barely a week. Better digestion, energy and I'm sure a lot more I'm not aware of yet. Thank you for posting the recipe!
@@Ririmiyoko the 3 main benefits of this drink are - Fights inflammation and packs in antioxidants - Boosts your immune system naturally - Aids digestion and keeps your gut happy - plus it tastes great too. Enjoy ☺️
I would recommend heating it up on the stove but, only till it’s slightly simmering. Don’t boil it aggressively as you’ll lose some of the nutrients. Enjoy
Hey again lol..is there a certain kind of water that's best to use for this? And how much water to how much ingredients? Like if i want a pitcher full or a few Mason jars. I plan on drinking daily
Yes absolutely. If you drink this regularly you’ll notice that your immune system is less susceptible to infections and illnesses. I’m speaking from personal experience. I have been drinking this since childhood and I haven’t been sick or ill for 30 years (I just turned 40) enjoy 😊
Her additional statement to her question opened the door for her question to be shut down. She did actually ask a question. I suppose I can't refer to her as, "she," so ...ummm...which personal pronoun do I use? Now I'm confused!!
Fresh turmeric is actually the best. But ensure you add a touch of black pepper otherwise the body will not absorb the core substance that does the heavy lifting in turmeric, which is curcumin.
Fair comment, this was one of my first videos. I’ve since started adding measurements in the videos and descriptions. I really do appreciate you taking time to give me your feedback. Thank you 😊

I’ve seen on other videos that if you add a little black pepper, it helps your body absorb the turmeric. What do you think?
Hi Rodney, yes that’s correct. Apparently pepper enhances absorption by upto 2000%

Hi what is that orange powder? Thanks!
It’s ground turmeric.. you can also buy it whole and grate it, simmer and strain. Enjoy
I wondering if you kill the vitamin C if you put the lemons in hot water?
It’s fine as long as the water doesn’t reach boiling point. If you keep the water at a gentle simmer you won’t kill much of the vitamin C.
So, 1/2 a lemon, squeezed with rind
1/2 - 1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 - 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
honey to taste after straining. Simmer low, don't boil.
Yes that’s correct. Hope it came out good and you enjoyed it? 🙂
Doesnt boiling it all the way through help get all the vitamins and juice into the tea though? Anyways great video!
Thank you glad you enjoyed the video. I prefer to simmer gently to avoid losing any of the key nutrients in the turmeric. It’s still a nutritions drink if you boil it rather than simmer.
How long should it be on the stove?
About ten minutes on a gentle simmer.
Sexy Tea looks great.. Gonna make it today also you may have something here. I like the name of it. You should make more videos with that title. ☺
This beautiful ❤

Instead of boiling it is it ok to put ginger and turmeric powder and squeeze of lemon in hot water with honey?

Can you use fresh turmeric? If so, how much?
Absolutely, a little goes a long way. About an inch for two cups
Thank you!
