Retards are guaranteed to eat it up and rave about how deep the game is and how much they love all the symbolism.
Well I can explain the Chinese title of the game, the first word 恐怖 literally translates to “horror”, no problem with that. The second word 撤锁 even got me baffled and first. It was *not an actual word* . If you split the two characters and translate them respectively: 撤 means “to remove/to withdraw”, and 锁 means “lock”, and that’s why when you put this weird combination in Google Translate you get something like “unlock”. Then after a while I realized it’s the pronunciation of this latter word 撤锁 that makes it “funny”. It comes from an old meme in China, the story behind it’s kinda gross, you’ve been warned. About 3 years ago on Chinese social media there used to be a clout chasing madman, posted some “challenge videos” of himself, eating sh*t from an outhouse, he posted them on a TikTok-like social media, he did this multiple times and posted multiple videos. And then he went viral. And here’s where that unintelligible word 撤锁(remove+lock) comes in. there is a heavy accent in that crazy guy’s way of pronouncing “toilet”. While toilet is normally pronounced as _“Tse-suo”_ in mandarin, that guy had such a strong accent that he pronounced toilet as _“che-suo”_ . His strange way of pronouncing toilet together with his unhinged behavior became his “trademark” afterwards. And since then _“che-suo”_ became related to this madman, and of course, the action of “human waste consumption” on Chinese social media. The made-up-word in the title of the game “撤锁” pronounces exactly as _“che-suo”_ . So as a conclusion the game should actually be translated into “horror toilet”. And yeah you can see how serious the devs are. Thus probably explains why you can drive a turd in the “second level”. This game might started out as a more serious project, you can see they already have a story with a (kind of cliche) plot twist, and they surely put some effort in making the female ghost’s model (if it’s not being ripped off from other games), the devs probably worked part-time on the project with zero budget, halfway through they either lost passion or something like that so they just ditched it, and released it as a broken game on steam, since there really isn’t such thing as “quality control” on steam.

8:25 This is because of the code for character controllers often found in tutorials. Its hard to explain fully but velocity is being added based of camera direction, so when you look up or down velocity is trying to be applied in that direction but the gravity/physics wont let that happen. Thats why when you look up on a 90* angle you stop moving, the gravity wont let the character model apply velocity on the vertical axis. The dev can fix this by clamping the camera movement angles a bit tighter. Also Im assuming you can still hear the footstep sounds because they're playing based off the movement inputs and not strictly the character movement itself. Im not sure how to fix that problem, ive only been learning gamedev for a few months. 10/10 lore though
For a game with animation keyframes that track your steps, you tie it to keyframes. (if your camera/flashlight bobs a bit, you tie it to one of the motions). that "movement glitch" for when you look up or down... is insanely stupid for something like that to happen they probably used the vector of the way you're facing instead of just getting the direction and applying a speed its actively harder to do it that way, like???
The weird movement speed is probably because pressing forward creates a directional vector between your body and where your eyes are pointing at. But since your character if glued to the floor, not looking at straight ahead of you will decrease the movement speed going straight ahead. And when you're looking straight above you, you're essentially creating zero forward momentum. This would make some sense in a game where you're floating in 3D space and can move in every direction, but not in a game where you're walking across the floor. That's the best thing I can come up with that makes sense technically. It's possible that the movement script was part of an asset pack that the devs used, something like that. Also, when I saw this game on Steam I couldn't shake the feeling that this made by some dude in Florida pretending to be a Chinese developer for meme's sake.
I feel like the final level was just the dev room where the dev tested things out when they got bored/stuck/frustrated trying to make the game. Then they just kept it in at the end and decided to make use of it. That or it was a case of a drunken fling between the dev, the game, and whatever driving game they past played.
As for that movement, the only thing I can think of is that your character is intended to be moving freely in all directions so they slow down the farther up you get, but the only thing that comes to mind is that the dev applied some insane gravity to the player to keep them rooted to the ground and all times, so you just stop when you're trying to go straight up or down.

When I thought Wiz already made banger content, he puts out absolute gold like this. I commend you brave soul.
cant believe how far into the "game" you got. you got grit
5:11 i went back and was not expecting this... Kashi bars are oh so delicious and good for you-- oh youtube ads, you always have a gift for timing.
"There's gonna be a jump scare, and I'm already, like, scared." Lol that was adorable
This game is so cool!
I hope the student passed the class for this
What a lovely, stupid game. Amazing. I can’t wait to see what the dev makes next.
So that third note was in Russian. For all wondering, here goes the translation:
"Something's going on. I've locked myself in a room, but the door won't endure what or who's on the other side. I'm going insane, this is impossible, this is impossible. screams beyond that door sounds like some one is being ripped into pieces alive. He's coming, he's close. Leave this house immediately. If it's too close, I urge you to not turn around."
Cheers Wiz
And yeah, all the other notes are the same assets, seems like dev just used some stock ones and placed them everywhere)
I love all these professional assets with the drawings thrown in occasionally
I'd say the title is definitely unfair, that first part was quite damn good.
Edit: Nevermind lol. Though the visuals are honestly pretty good.
I hear "amogus" at 16:57
I'm legitimately 90% certain I have seen almost all the assets in this game used in others too and they're either bought like a generic asset flip, or flat out stolen
I hope you keep doing these, it's an absolute joy to watch, and your way of talking about the game is hilarious :D
Glad YT recommended me this, this channel is a great find.
In love with this series. I hope you keep it up! Genuinely enjoy your commentary, and genuinely having fun with these poorly developed games. I particularly love the longer videos, and how you don’t limit yourself to a specific run-time restriction. If I could become a patron, I would. I can't in this economy, unfortunately 😅
i personally also write notes and leave them around the house in a language not native to myself and then repeat the entire thing in english
Holy shit it really does translate to "Terrorist Unlock"
So basically this is the spiritual (heh) successor of Big Rigs: Over the Roar Racing?
Why am I watching a horror game let's play? I must like you. *It turned into the coolest game ever.
I love how the doors open by the ghost but still have the "Press E' on them
It's like they start to build the game and when reaching 10% of completion they like "ok, I'm done, no more, let's release it"
Im a simple man.
I see funny srickman depiction of youtuber in videos, i sub.
this was a thicc plottery of a well written rollercoaster wich had feelings ... (lol i really tried hard matching the lore) xD
"IT WAS BY DESIGN?!"
-Emperor Varis zos Galvus
The broken movement its Entry level Unreal Engine Coding. The fact they messed that up is funny to me.
Very excited that youtube suggested a video of yours (dinosis), love your content already!
Pretty sure the translation is literal; Chinese translates weird.
9:33 Most British reaction to a jumpscare ever
This is my new favorite game.
The sequence with the sound only is of a man saying in Russian "Are you hiding from taxes?" other things that are being said are hard to understand. This is so bizarre, yet funny
Walking thing is probably a simple bug of the mechanic being a move in the direction that the camera faces and make walk noise.
I just learned I was unsubscribed from you. I’ve heard of it happening but it happened to me now, glad I found out about this happening
where did his videos go damn D:
@@Krondon-SSR he has two channels
Hey 😁 are you the guy who wrote the notes?
@@lushcassidy oh thank god xd i was getting worried xdddd
@@lushcassidy I just learned it I cheeked his channels page and it was blank and I thought I got unsubbed
the final part of the game looked like some action sequence you can only see in fever dream
1:50 That's one of the soul care takers in the movie "Soul" lol
