- Spring Break is over, what's the rest of April look like at Disneyland? How crowded is the park, what are the wait times at the rides? Is it off-season now? Is the park empty? Or is it still packed?
That's what we're here to find out. We'll do a full walking tour of Disneyland looking at the wait times for every ride. Along the way we'll point out congestion points in the walking paths.

My friend went the same day you did. She said it was less crowded than normal. I, however, went the very next day (Wednesday 4/17) and OMG!!!! It was SO PACKED I didn’t even bother with rides. The line for Autopia went all the way to Finding Nemo
I was there the same day as you :D I have to say: coming from Disney World, the Disneyland crowds all week were incredibly easy for me
See, I find Disney World to be far less crowded than Disneyland, simply because the walkways are so much larger. More people never feels more crowded to me.
At least for when we usually go in May anyway

Was there wed hoping for low middle week crowds. It was one of the most crowded days! Genie + didn’t even make a big difference
I know!! I’ve been looking at ride times since September and when I finally go for my kids bday it was slammed 😢 absolutely insane and hot!
@@pagerkyma yeah I think it’s only worth it if you can afford a season pass. Paying regular price and getting stuck in 90+ min wait times with kids is not worth it. Only thing is season passes now cost an arm and leg lol
Certain parts of the park can be nice and spacious even on crowded days. What shocked me is that in pouring rain it seemed the crowds were WORSE! Rain phases no one in the land 😬
On the last rain day at Disneyland we cancelled our reservations. And I’m sure others are similar.
Out of towners aren’t going to shy away, but locals might opt out if they can come 2 or 3 days later and it’s sunny and warm.
But I’m sure there are locals that only go on weekends rain or shine.
Indiana Jones ride. Temple of the doom or I will call it zoom zoom zoom. Has anybody else noticed how fast it was unreal. All I can say is hanging on for your life. It’s fast but lots of fun.

We were there this past week. Traver your tips were Priceless! ✨✨We found Toontown and Fantasyland the busiest, my kids are bigger so we avoided those spots anytime after 9, 10 am. All 3 days we started in the park that didn't have Early entry, we didn't stay at Disney hotel but Did have Hoppers (so worth it, for us as non locals, possibly our only trip)
We rope dropped 3 days (2DL, 1DCA), made the most of that first 1-2 hrs on rides. Flicked through LL like a Pro (imho)!! I think the longest we waited in a line was 25-30 for Astro orbiter (said 15, it lied) we did miss Matterhorn, which makes me sad. Missing incredicoaster was a bonus for me!!
I also got one "free" multi experience pass EACH day by doing LL for a ride that was "temporarily closed", got that idea from you and Amy!

I'll be there on the 22nd and 23rd. I'm hoping to hit the sweet spot between the end of Food & Wine, but before Pixar Fest. Star Wars Nite might throw a wrench, but we'll see!

Yeah, it's always a hot tip to go when it rains, because I know I cancelled my reservations on account of rain. 😂

Seems like an improvement over early April for sure! My daughter actually bailed from a lightning lane line at buzz lightyear around noon on April 1 because even thAt e line was so ridiculously long
Buzz had crazy long lines during Spring Break, longer than that ride has a right to be. 😂

Middle of May is better than end of May (Memorial Day weekend and following).
Can’t rightly speak to the crowd levels as I’m usually gone then on my own family vacations. So maybe that will give confidence that if that’s when we choose to travel then it’s a good time to travel. 😂
Just got back from the park yesterday (Friday) at DL.
Our hotel we stayed near the park, we tried to check in early, but hotel staff said they were all booked last night due to Star Wars night.
Around 1pm the lighting lanes selections for popular rides (Indiana, big thunder, Minnie/Mickey Runaway, Hyperspace) was already pushed out to 10pm-11pm!!! But I still had a great time , weather was nice. Thanks for all your videos SoCal Dad, I got to try “The Grey Stuff” and other sweets thanks to your food videos.

We went Easter week and it lived up to the insane spring break crowds. Never again :(
We were there for Spring break and OMG it was horrible my daughter never wants to go back (she’s 16) but I watch enough of your videos and used that Genie plus like a pro but we found after the fire works it emptied right out and we’re the only ones on jungle cruise and it’s a small world and more
First thing in the morning and late at night at the two best times for rides. That’s why we also usually recommend an afternoon break as it allows you to avoid the busiest times and recharge a bit.
If you can hold out until Midnight, it’s glorious that last hour.

I'm an Aussie looking to take the family on a Disney trip later this year Sept/Oct. Rough planning so far is 5 days for Disney/Cal Adv., 1 day Universal, 1 day Knotts, 1 day Hollywood/Warner Bros tour.
Currently looking to stay at Pavillions, Stovalls or Candy Cane for around 14 nights.
Could really use some tips on transfers and other places/things to do. Is ride share the best way to do Universal and Knotts for rope drop? How far ahead do i need to lock in days for Disney. Stuff like that.
Love your work and I've learnt a lot from it, thank you, any help would be much appreciated.

Knott’s and Disneyland are practically right next to each other (10 minutes), so you could definitely do both of those from Candy Cane or some other Disney area hotel.
But Universal is an hours drive without traffic, potentially up to an hour and a half from Disneyland. I don’t know where the WB tour is, but I’d assume in that same general area. I’d think you’d be better off staying at the Hilton Universal for two nights while visiting up that direction so that you don’t need to use Uber for the long drive more than once each direction.
For Disney reservations, I think you can do 180 days in advance, but it might only be 120. I don’t ever buy multi-day tickets. But the easiest way to check is to just see how far out the calendar lets you book right now.

I showed up around 4:30 PM as seen in this video, was there an hour and then left to get changed for the event. So not super long, but I was indeed there! Happy belated birthday!
From watching wait times everyday, it seems sort of on and off from pretty busy to not that busy the last 2 weeks. Expecting the same through April
When I went on the 9th it was beautiful. Pretty empty. Very low waits. It was a lull between Spring Break and Star Wars Nites kicking off.

It's strange, cause the week before (I was there on the 9th) it was awesome. Pretty low crowds. Must be because of Star Wars Nites, people were saving their trips for later.
Agreed we were there on the 9th through the 15th and we were surprised how busy it was on our last day. Glad we did genie+

Hi, thank you so much for your great videos. Extremely helpful! I'm planning to visit DCA with my kids on May 15, and Disneyland Park on May 16 and 17. I understand May 15 and 17 are grad nite. While I expect a lot of people at DCA on May 15, would Disneyland Park be crowded on May 16 and 17 as well?
Disneyland will likely be on the 17th as I’d expect some people to avoid DCA on that day. The 16th will most likely be fairly average.

So when did Rider Switch change from taking 2 extra people, so 3 total, to only 1 extra person? We came a year ago and it was 2 but found out this week it changed to 1.
It’s been like that since 2022 at least. I have video of us discovering that for the very first time in May 2022.
What's the advice about going to disneyland when there is an event? Should you just do dca on those days?
I would recommend, if you have a hopper, starting in the event park in the AM and switching to the other park around 2-3 in the afternoon.
If you don’t have a hopper, yes, go to the non-event park so you aren’t cheated out of the evening hours.

Yes. Every other week. I basically visit Saturday (Week 1), Tuesday (Week 2), Saturday (Week 3), Tuesday (Week 4), etc.
I go 4 times a month, alternating between weekends and weekdays.
