Dublin was great and the people were even better. YES, the food is fantastic. Had a great time, even ventured into a street market at Temple Bar and had a fun time.
I am subscribed Attache 3 years ago on my 1st international trip to Singapore for a month of training.. I thank Mr. Hunter for the tip. Have more blessings to come Mr. Hunter so that you can travel around the globe
Like the show - don't forget the DART which is the light rail line that connects Dub north-south with great towns along the coast. Favourite after living there 6 years - Hartley's right off the Dun Laoghaire station on the DART. 15 mins south of city centre. Cheers!
by far my favorite travel guide channel on youtube. you give great viewpoints on the citys you cover making me want to travel to some of them more and more
Great job. Best travel guide channel on youtube but... you could add that Dublin is one of the Music capitals in the world. Nowhere better musical atmosphere than in Dublin.
There is a touristy type bus (747) that is €6 one way. Then there is also the 41 & 16 busses that go to the airport and from the airport for around €2.80 one way. Its just not in the usual touristy areas :-)
LONG LIVE IRELAND!!! I spent 3 months there living in Dun Laoghaire and LOVED every second of it, what a beautiful country! TARA, Newgrange, Hill of Slane, Monasterboice so much history! I would not mind living in Ireland! PS for the "perfect glass of Guinness" go to where it is made, The Guinness warehouse and pour one for yourself!! The views for the top is amazing!
Great guide - full of fantastic information! Just to note, you can grab a bus direct to the the city for €6 online (Airlink Express), or €7 at the airport as opposed to the €9 mentioned in the video. Also, the Luas lines are now connected, so there is no need to walk 15 minutes between the two lines anymore. We're lucky in Dublin to live beside the sea, and a trip to one of our seaside villages is always a great was to spend a half day - options include Howth, Dún Laoghaire, Malahide, or Dalkey.
definitely not worth discrediting the entire channel over. If you watch the video before this one on London, you'll see that he says a pound is 1.3 euros (the exact opposite of what he said here). So it's obviously a typographical error, not a knowledge based error @@rbmk5158
I used to drink Guinness in Mulligans years ago. Always a great pint. Returned there last July and was extremely disappointed with the pint of Guinness. Has it changed hands recently?

You must go to the home of Irish comedy "The International bar" Wicklow st Dublin 2. This place has being hosting comedy since 1987, it's where all Irish comedians have started there careers. It started on a Wednesday night and now it's on 7 nights a week. The entry fee is only €10 and you will see 4 top acts, a great night of laughter guaranteed👍.
Burger lovers - go to Bunsen. I've eaten burgers all around the world and honestly nowhere beats it. Guinness in The Gravediggers (...the best pint in the city) + a tour of Glasnevin cemetery is another highlight.
The DART train is also worth a look as it runs along along the seafront of Dublin Bay if you fancy exploring some of the suburbs or lovely fishing village of Howth northbound and seaside town of Dun Laoghaire southbound. View from the summit in Howth of Dublin Bay is worth it! Also, if you fancy a quick peek at Irish countryside go down to Powerscourt House is gorgeous County Wicklow (The Garden of Ireland) and stop by Avoca Cafe, Kilmacanogue on your way there for AMAZING food in a gorgeous setting.
I've just added you to my notifications to see where you'll be going next, I love these video's :D Very informative and to the point, hilarious as well. @03:05 for any future tourists, the Green line and the Red line have now been merged so, if you need to change line, you're now only looking at a 1 minute or less walk to the next line
Totally love the idea of your show! Two personal tipps for improvement. 1. Get rid of this TV zappy effect. Imho it's really disturbing. 2. I would love to see longer episodes. Great works so far, please keep it up!
@Kevin- thanks! Re: the transition, you're not the first person to mention this so it's definitely something we'll look into. I'm delighted you want longer episodes, that's great news!
Can't wait for the DublinMetro to come into effect, it will really help northside suburbs which dont have great public transport services, except the DART in some areas and Dublin Bus/Bus Áth Cliath, TFI (Transport For Ireland) say the new luas line (LUAS Cross-City) which connects the LUAS Red line and the Green line will be completed in December 2017

Hi Don, thank you great tips on Ireland, I'll be there in Sept 2017, I plan on visiting lots of western cities and the southern part is renting a car easy? Thank you
Hello, spent 3 months in Irleand and was in Dublin almost everyday! Car Hire is very easy, as a matter of fact I found it no different then the US. One tip though is if you are not with a large family get a small car, the smaller the better as driving in Ireland can be tough. The small cars are easy to maneuver around the small streets and way easier to park, trust me smaller is better!
If you're staying in Dublin on business or just like to get a good night's sleep, be mindful of your hotel location. Dublin is truly a city that never sleeps, especially in the summer. With a number of bars and pubs that are open until late your well needed rest may very well end up disturbed by poor planning. There are a number of very good hotels and B&Bs outside of the immediate centre which are all in walking distance. On that note, Dublin isn't a particularly big city so walking is undoubtedly the best and cheapest mode of transport. That said, if for whatever reason you need to go to The RTE studios (Ireland's national broadcaster), take a cab. It's a good hour's walk from the centre, each way...as I discovered...
Hi Iam going to Ireland next month, i have 8 days and I am going to Dublin, cliff of Moher, Killkenny,Cork. Could u suggest whats card I should buy for transportation? Because we are going with bus and train ( not driving ), is there any train pass for tourist could cover all trip? Thx

+Herluf8000 Hi, if you go into any local shop the majority of them will sell Leap cards (travel card) top this up by 20euro and you can travel as much on Dublin Bus for a week. For things to do i'd recommend Kilmainham Gaol (take the 79 bus from Aston Quay), Guinness Storehouse (take the 40/13 bus from Dame St) Visit the Leprechaun museum - its not like normal museums its a lot of fun (near the Jervis Shopping Centre). You can also rent bikes from a lot of places in town such as temple bar for very little cost and id recommend cycling to the Phoenix Park - the largest city park in Europe - 3 times the size of Central Park. Dublin Zoo is also in this Park and the Presidents House Aras an Uachtarain. Fun Fact the White House is based off this house as an Irish man designed the White House. Hope this helped and enjoy your trip in the most amazing city!!
