That's an excellent result Steve. Surgeon, implant and, most of all, patient combing to get an excellent result like that.

Good article here @@steverogers1074: buff.ly/37B4Tcj => 'Hip replacement is occasionally performed in patients in their teens and early twenties' ..but, just because it is possible, does not mean it is a good idea. Take care

I have no idea why I had so much trouble with my hip replacements. I has both hips replaced in 2017. I was 64 yrs old. My right hip dislocated twice in one week 17 months after replacement. Which required a revision. Then my left hip dislocated twice a year later and required a revision. So in four years. I had four hip surgeries. I hope these revisions work. I have ceremic heads. With the revisions the cups put in were larger with the liner having a larger lip which holds the head more. I did loose some mobility. I do excercise. Yet I still feel the replacements slipping at times. Which scares me. I have to be very careful doing any movement that requires squating. I am of normal body weight. I am not considered not over weight at all.

@@sartainja How very kind of you. Thank you for your good wishes. I am okay now. Considering the situation. One thing I will say is that having to have revisions so soon after both my hips were replaced. Has certainly compromised my range of motion. More so than with the first hip replacements. I had so much more range of motion with the first replacements. Now? Sometimes I get down about not being able to do what needs doing. Because I am not able to bend at the waist to do things that are near the floor. Like dusting the bottom of furniture or cleaning baseboards. And OTHER stuff! I use one of those garden seats? The kind that people who work in their garden and they sit. Well. That is WAY to low for me to risk sitting on. I turn it upside down where the legs of the thing is facing up. Then I kneel on the cushion and use the legs as "push up" bars. Not sure if I am explaining it so that you can understand. But ya know!!!! Remember when we were kids and " old people" LOL!! Told us to take care of our teeth because dentures were NEVER as good as your natural. Ummmm. They were chewing right!! Without dentures many foods would have been able to be eaten PERIOD! So they were chewing!! LOL!!!
Well. Yeah these hips are not as good as my own were. But! I'm walking! Not confined to a wheel chair AND NO LONGER bed ridden! And no more agony. Just achey. You sure get to do a lot of thinking when you are bed bound. I know about that personally. I am EXTREMELY GRATEFULL that there was a solution for that! Ya know something? WE ALL are here with TWO lives! Yeah we are! The SECOND one starts as soon as we realize we have one life! So. As I said. People who said that dentures were never like their own? They were CHEWING!
I am walking!! So I think I should shut up and not complain! Which I am not. I AM GRATEFULL that I walk. That's a GOOD thing!!😊😉

I had a hip replacement at 45 since I had no another choice. The pain from the hip was controlling my life.
I could not sit at a desk without being in pain. I walked with a cain. The only time I was without pain was when I was laying in bed with the leg on some pillows and ice packs around it.
I had been to PT and worked to keep my muscles built up to take pressure off the joint. If I had worked out 12 hours per day, I might could have developed enough muscles to relieve the pressure on that joint.
If you need a hip replacement, I recommend having it done as soon as possible. Do not wait. You are just making your life miserable. It is one of the most successful operations that it performed now days.
