I was hype when I first read about this earlier this morning but your slick video and nostalgia for Raidou have me VERY hype now. The backlog is real, but at least Raidou can be in it again soon. Also, for those who may not know, both Raidou games are still currently on sale on the PS3 store for about $10 each :)

I would have preferred Digital Devil Saga over Devil Summoner, but both of these I’ve never had a chance to play and would be over the moon to play either remastered. And if these DS rumors are true, then I’m sure some day DDS may get a re-release too
Happy to see more people excited for this! In addition to this though, one of the achievements says "Learn all of Raidous Combat Skills". Raidou doesnt actually learn any skills in both games, which could indicate that Atlus COULD be working on Raidou 3 as well , I actually made a vid about this too. I could be huffing some serious copium tho lol.
Ive always wanted to play these games since I got into SMT while constantly waiting for a ps2 emulator app for ios to emulate it since my PC cant handle emulators. This make sense and it was leaked that P1 remake P2 being remake remasted collection. While pplee don't like the source he was dead on accurate everything so far and recently leaked the new shinobi game footage too.
unless your pc is like a $100 netbook (even then, just keep it to 5th gen and below), you can run emulators. try fiddling with the settings, simply changing the renderer can make a HUGE difference too. pcsx2 hasa whole bunch of performance options. I'll say this at least - it can't be a worse experience than trying to play a PS2 game on a _phone_ lol.
I just beat smt 3 hd remaster, the version that Raidou appears, he was such cool character, if this Raidou remaster become truth i plan to purchase day one.
I definitely understand why people hate Nocturne... I liked it for what it was but it felt so bland overall. It's one of the reasons I also hated SMT V because it just felt like Nocturne and after loving everything almost about SMT IV, I was so disappointed.
I love these games, but I have absolutely no confidence that the remasters won't be garbage. For one, they never sold well. They aren't going to put money into a remaster that they don't have faith are going to sell. Remasters are, by their very nature, cash grabs, so any excuse to cut costs will be taken. This is barely an excuse, it's a legitimate reason. For two, 6th gen remasters always always always absolutely kill the atmosphere of their games, PS2 especially. PS2 games have so many things, between bilinear filtering, 4:3 ratio, alpha blending, the resolution, and so much more that contributes to the feel and that the developers had to consider as unique parameters for the system, and moden remasters are not exactly known for being nuanced. Or faithful. For three, it uses prerendered backgrounds. *_This is a no-win situation for anything but a straight port._* Either a remake makes the backgrounds 3d, in which case, it's an entirely new game and anything but surface comparisons to the original are just gone. Otherwise, a remaster tries to spruce it up, resulting in either weird smoothing/AI upscaled filters, new backgrounds that are either shit or kill the feel of the game (notice a trend?). Either way, the character models will inevitably be upscaled and possibly redesigned, and _every single time_ it leaves them looking completely disconnected from their background. Raidou already kind of has a problem with this depending on how accurately you emulate, but it limits this heavily by _being on the PS2._ All those things I mentioned before help the 3D models blend in with the backgrounds, and when you play on a CRT, it's really not that big of a deal. I, for one, would MUCH rather they rerelease the orignal. Remastering it while allowing the original to be a stupidly expensive collector's item is about the worst move possible for preservation. Also, if you don't mind my asking, why don't you want to emulate it? If it's a legality issue and you really aren't comfortable even using a vpn, I'd happily share my copy via google drive or something. I can include the emulator itself too + some instructions on how to get it working, along with the necessary files.

I love Raidou Kuzunoha 1 game. Great music, great mood, great characters, okay gameplay enough to keep me entertained. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

That's strange, considering that every time i see videos about nocturne it's People calling it a masterpiece or the pinnacle of smt.
