Fun thing about the demifiend. He can get a resistance to every form of damage except for Gun. In SMTIV Apocalypse during the fanservice chapter, Demifiend has resistance to all types of damage, except for specifically gun.
It's just canon that Gun is Demifiend's weakness

When Raidou appears and chases you, placing the Reaper theme from Kid Icarus similar to that damn 4th chapter of Kid Icarus Uprising would be golden.

With Dante, he treats it like a game, so that's arguably more terrifying. Especially considering the fact that he's holding back. You're just a toy for him to play with until you die or he's satisfied.

I mean raidou is too. At this point in the story I'm sure they already knew they we're fooled into coming here and think the best idea for them is to stick with you, they just wanted to test you first to see if you'd be a good ally. Dante on the other hand is just doing a little trolling

A tip I used if you’re scared of the Raidou fight is to take the purple spirits up on the offer, get teleported to the entrance and save. You won’t get chased by Raidou again when you come back.

Og Dante is a chill dude and seems to be more able to compromise with, like for free pizza 🍕 and being allowed to walk shirtless around plus he has funny coin gimmick, while Raidou is a terrifying "straight to business" mannequin man in a dark cloth chasing you with his tube for enslavement and you are nothing but a tool for him. He will probably fuse Demi-fiend with something Demi recruited before. Like with Donte ...

Damn, I'm impressed that you went through this place without any guides. Nocturne is a game that beats your ass without a lot of prep/information sources used beforehand.
Thanks. Had to look one up for the end of the prison dungeon near Ikebukuro. And there were a couple random-teleport dungeons I had to make maps for, but I really wish I just looked up guides.
The only reason I'm suffering through the amala labyrinth is to get raidou, but if the man himself makes shit this hard I'm not sure I wanna anymore 😭
It actually wasn't that hard, it was just a bit disorienting suddenly going from JRPG dungeon gameplay to horror genre gameplay lol

might not be the time, but I feel I should mention that the theme for the battle with Raidou/Dante on the playlist of the Nocturne ost on the Atlus Sound Team - Topic channel is named "ダンテ戦闘," which literally translates to "dante combat." the theme was always meant for Dante, but it works for Raidou just as well. Both of them teach you how much it actually sucks to be a demon in their respective worlds.
I prefer the Dante version of this chase more.
