    I feel like the missions will be the best part, I hope the next major update is a career mode overhaul with tons of new missions

      Honestly I stopped playing after 1.0 stuffed missions over. I like building but the SAR gameplay is what makes this interesting!

      @@a.s.b. they aren’t gonna overhaul the mainland more there’s no way they already fixed all the terrain bugs and fixed up the train tracks, they might put workbenches around some more that would be nice.

      if you got explosive and threshold gate you can simulate crush depth ! and som lua if you want random numbers
      between specific number ex depth 200 and 1000

      Well yes but this is not an actual mechanic. That way someone with a bad design could go deeper than a guy who made a good submarine.

      They have said previously that that would take a lot of rewriting and they aren’t going to do it, the only thing we m a y get against their will is new armor bits

      @@Alffraido its not a lot of rewriting from a game dev perspective a simple crush depth could be counting structure blocks (i.e Blocks, Heavy Blocks, Pipes) and subtract weak block (i.e windows and monitors) then take the weight and calculate it based on that, and then at the top they could add an extra bar that says crush depth (like next to the money bar)

      @@GamingwithPortals their water physics prevents them from wanting to do that, so I’d say if they really don’t want too, they don’t have too. Im a co-developer for a game and it takes crap tons of time and so deep into a game like this rewriting code is not fun.

    I think something cool like adding a water pressure mechanic would really create a sort of paranoid feeling whilst underwater. Imagine your submarine breaking apart because you've gone too deep

      i mean they've already added the mechanic to players but i dont think a pressure mechanic for submarines and such would be executed very well

    If only they did an extreme vast desert(Death Valley like) biome next... they should do an Australian VASTE desert in the size of the entire sea-map! Add on desert/desert war ASAP

    Can your next build series be a boat with a submarine on it? I mean i miss the big boats and you cam explore the new biomes with the sub! LOVE the videos!

    Im a bit disappointed with the update. The terrain is cool but I was expecting something different. I thought all of the underwater terrain was going to be replaced by actual dynamic generation or prebuilt reefs, caves, trenches, etc. It's kind of a let down that deep ocean is still just exclusively sand and nothing else.

      @@ravenmaniac8857 Maybe they could work around the shores and fill some of the coasts with corals, and that sort of fades out the deeper into the ocean you go.

    Awesome! I’ve had a kick for marine/submarine stuff lately so I’m thinking I’ll really like this game.
    Question: I don’t know much about building, but is it possible/reasonable to build dipped/towed sonars? Would be interesting to see the tech going beyond submarines.

      I mean, winches to my knowledge have infinite length, so I wouldn't see it as impossible to connect a sonar dish to a winch and tow it. Just gotta play around with it

      that would actually be pretty cool idea.... i've been contemplating making a Sea going tug long range ocean tug boat with huge winches... would be pretty cool to map the ocean floor with a Lidar + sonar system in tow

      Yes there is absolutely a way to do towed and or dipped sonars
      You could even build the sonar itself as a seperate creation and send the data thru the winch or maybe radio

    The immediate target x and y with the sonar was already possible. You just needed a couple radars and some math.

    Those flares don’t seem to emit a lot of light. They are brought to look at, but don’t cast much like n to their surroundings.

    Make a submarine rescue service so that when someone is in a research submarine and they need help you can type a command and instead of a helicopter or boat saving you maybe it could be a rescue submarine

      actually, alot of people who produce guided missles quite very much hate the radar system as it broke most of their missles sadly

      @@RazerTheDuck yeah, I spent a long time coding a guided missile only for them to completely break radars the day I was going to publish it to the workshop. The only way to get them working is to load to an old save, but my only old save that works is corrupted and the world is glitched. Introduce one feature, break another.

    I want New sonar microcontrollers asap also why don't they make The kraken and megalodon attack you for no actual reason, i don't have The dlc and I can't even experience getting destroyed by The kraken. This seems unfair, The kraken has nothing to do with weapons dlc.

    How to you connect the sonar to the fins, do you need a micro controller? seems more complicated to me.

      i think it’s like the small 1x1 radar, just connect them directly to the fins

      @@olivergooding8512 ah i thought you were talking about the rocket motor fins. i may be wrong but it should be the same output as the laser point sensor, composite signals 1 and 2 for pitch and yaw.
      you could use a microcontroller to read the composite signals and turn them into pitch and yaw outputs for the fins
