Massed Pipes & Drums march out at Gordon Barracks in Aberdeen for 2023 Armed Forces Day in Scotland

  • Drum Major Neil Jamieson leading the massed Pipes and Drums onto the parade square playing Farewell to the Creeks. This was on Saturday 1st July 2023 at Gordon Barracks in Aberdeen as they marched out to start their display for the 2023 Armed Forces day celebrations. This was a week later than Armed Forces day on 24th June because of the European Piping Championships that day in Aberdeen.
    Drum Majors with Neil Jamieson included Walter Davidson, Ronnie Rennie,
    Ian Esson and Bert Summers. The bands taking part were the Lonach Pipe Band, Ballater & District Pipe Band, Kintore Pipe Band, Newtonhill Pipe Band, the Gordon Highlanders Drums & Pipes and Aberdeen UOTC Drums and Pipes.
