It honestly just feels like a lottery. They used to allow you to keep teaming with players you won with and they'd show up in the lobby with you between games. Now it's always random.
This is a very relatable video. It feels like if I die my whole team is dead. I don't even usually play hard carry weapons, I play backline and I've watched so many players just jump to their death or not do the objective.
In the rare situation where I might have a very fair and even match up I am giggling and having a blast. But most of the time I'm being demolished by some of the top players or bullying small children. Both of those aren't very fun. And in salmon run I manage to pull off 0 deaths and 10 revives while slaying bosses and collecting eggs. Also all the salmons drop eggs so they're all women. The golden eggs are also fertilized since they got a little dude in them. Boss salmonids are pregnant. Anyways team bad.
Yeah I finally got to S rank after having to painstakingly battle my way through lower tiers only to lose like 5 series 0-3 and have -600 points at the end. I got better teammates and wins playing in C rank than S.
I always join Solo Q because: None of my friends play splatoon I don't have a lot of friends on the switch I'm in a very dead pool (not a lot of people are online)
The pool I'm in is pee. I always invade people's lobbies in it and I'd assume a lot of them are younger kids since nobody else other than me would type in pee and laugh at it.

i get the frustration. in the second round your team comp had you needing to be primary anchor. you have range and are less mobile than the splatana stamper. just consider the difference between zooka and zipcaster, plus strafe speed
good excercise for each round is to check which role you need to perform, and if there's any confusion (like you and splatana both having range), watch that player for whether they're leaning into one or another role.
