Drama is a part of life. People are obsessed with creating controversy. Even if they managed to be completely Disney Princess levels of perfect and inoffensive, someone will find something to complain about.
I've seen people try and cancel because their great uncle wore a shirt with an American flag.
Drama is just life honestly you could get drama just from someone lying about someone else liking furries and make that into a huge drama

"Forgetting" to tell someone they've been fired is shitty, but honestly that happens all the time in corporate. It's just that twitter loves drama which is why we even hear about it.
As someone with memory problems, it’s not shitty if you genuinely can’t do anything about it.
Forgetting something means forgetting it, not choosing to not do it.
You can tell that Jasmine felt really bad about it, and that’s what matters to me in that situation.
My ADHD ass forgets everything i had to do in 5 seconds and people dont believe me 😐
I once worked through a temp agency where the place I worked never told me they were letting me go.
They waited for me to go to the temp agency to pick up my paycheck for the agency to tell me, on April 1st.
@@Iso20227 I'm imagining it from Celeste's perspective. She found out she was fired from a Twitter post that lied about the reason. Understandably, she got upset. Jasmine felt guilty because it was her fault, regardless if she had control over it. Forgetting to tell someone they're fired is a huge problem. I'm glad she owned up to it, but that still doesn't excuse what happened. I forget shit all the time but just because I say sorry doesn't make it okay when it's someone's income on the line.

I was like "Ok, the person that caused all of this apologized, clearly stating it was their fault. Why is there still drama?" Then I remembered, it's Twitter.
twitter: i guess you wonder where i've been 😍🥰
I think if they had merely forgotten to tell her the drama would not have been quite as bad, it's the lying about her being "too busy" implying it was her choice to leave the project that seems to have really pissed people off and saying "oops, my bad I forgot to tell her" doesn't really explain or address their original lie
Sure, they apologised for not telling her that she was fired, but they haven’t explained why they fired her. They said it was because she was “too busy” but she stated that that wasn’t the case at all. But I don’t know, we don’t know the full story, so there could actually be some genuine reasons behind her being fired.
But did the person who was actually mistreated (the original VA) get justice though? They're still waiting for a proper response from the bosses to this day, and this isn't just "legend says"
Expecting everything to get settled once and for all by doing a simple apology and admitting mistakes is both unrealistic and overly optimistic
Classic Twitter causing problems for everyone…

Never changed. From Twitter to X, it’s still a dumpster fire.
this is why i am never getting twitter/X just a bunch of kids who likes to cancel everyone over stupid stuff
Wait... **THIS** is the drama? Tari's VA got replaced without notice and now everyone's on a witch hunt for the new VA? Mf with all the heat thrown around, I genuinely thought Luke and Kevin withdrew pay from their employees or got ousted as creeps in the workplace or smth. Are we _REALLY_ going to do this all over again? Sorry to be the one to tell you, guys. VAs get replaced all the damn time! Sure, them not telling the VA about being fired was scummy but you're all blowing it way outta proportion! They do this shit in Hollywood all the time and I don't see y'all trying to boycott a billion dollar studio until they file bankruptcy. It's just the Hazbin hotel VA drama all over again with an SMG4 coat of paint!!!
Look, what they did was wrong, that's a fact. But the way everyone talked about it and actively trying to boycott GLITCH for it was totally uncalled for. I'm fully willing to let this slide as a hiccup, this was a one time occurrence, they fucked up, they'll do better. And I hope you all do too since if we keep trying to publically fuck over every single indie animation studio over the smallest dirt we have on them, we'll eventually see every single one of them go bankrupt and be forced to watch Disney slop for $30 per month for the rest of our lives as "entertainment". Is that a reality you want to be in? Cause I sure as hell ain't! We have a good thing here with GLITCH releasing *_free episodes,_* absolutely motherfucking free for anyone to enjoy on RUclips. If I see any of those lovely shows getting canned over something as stupid as Twitter getting mad over a VA getting replaced, so help me God!
This is a private matter, and should be settled privately between GLITCH (Kevin Lerdwichagul) and the VA. The only instance where we should stick our noses into this is when Kevin either never gives a response or the victim actively asks for help from the community. The most important part of this bs is that NOBODY, nobody innocent should get involved in the cancel culture crossfire which Twitter loves so much. Luke and the new VA has nothing to do with this and harassing them will do nothing. I swear, you all only do this shit because none of y'all have anything better to do in your damn lives than spit some venom at random famous people on Twitter
TL:DR, don't start cancelling yet. Bring attention but don't harass or boycott anyone until we see the full picture. Don't do a Reddit and falsely accuse someone to the point of driving them to the literal edge. Not everything is as simple as you think, business bs is complicated as fuck and should be treated as such.
I agree with everything you just said
You have a point!!!

All this to say i aint pinning the blame on no one and stooping as low as to boycott for something that i personally dont got much background info on.
Its def dirty, but its such an EASY mistake to get right for next time.
First time it happened (to my knowledge) and is a matter that should be handled privately.
Things like this are usually a bit more complicated and got a whole lot of nuance involved, nuance we wont get cuz that info isnt provided for us.
Welcome to the internet! Someone could post a video of a piece of bread and people would start drama or get offended. I’m so done with “drama” in the whole world, especially the internet. It’s just so pointless and negative I just don’t care anymore
The problem isn't only the va being replaced
It's clearly started that employees are being overworked to death by Kevin and are putting in free overtime
What sucks is that despite not being involved in the scandal, both Luke (SMG4 himself) and Lotty (New Tari) are being thrown under the bus when in reality its Kevin, the head CEO of both SMG4 and Glitch who needs to do the heavy lifting to set things right.
Luke is the chairman of the company, and he needs to step up!
@@livandmaddieftwrobloxnoobs8518 True. I'm just saying since he was not directly involved with this scandal, people need to stop treating him like a criminal, but RATHER reach out to him and tell him "Buddy. Your brother is outta control. If anyone can reign him in, its you!".
This is an actual respectable stance. Lotty's just doing her job and Luke. (I still vaguely understand how this works) has no power company wise. However has the most power talking to Kevin. Luke is personally my hero in terms of internet people so I hope he's fine in this.

Once the internet finds out *someones* in the wrong, they become incredibly vindictive.
It doesn’t help how some people will use this drama as some morality shield to harass and bully others for “not being in the right side” when in reality people just want to see if this gets cleared up and just don’t want to start drama. My mom lost her job like this and nobody was boycotting the company. The only person you should be mad at is the VA Director.
And arguably you can be mad but only mad to a certain point about that. She didn't try to sweep it under the rug or blame somebody else she outright came out and owned her mistake, at some point you have to just go "yeah, she fvcked up" and move on. You can't stay mad about these kinds of things forever especially when the person who messed up actually takes accountability.
@@Snow-Willowthis all started with a public post lying about the original VA being "too busy" implying that she left, when she was actually let go without even being told. That's beyond "sweeping it under the rug".
@@MicahWo I would want to see who made the post saying that, and what contact or relation they have to the person who manages the VA hiring. I've seen how Corporate works, communication doesn't exactly exist in that lexicon. It's possible that the person who made the post saying the VA was too busy actually thought that was the case, and hadn't heard otherwise from hiring manager. I think it's a little bad faith to assume bad intent so readily.
I've dropped the ball on my corporate job more times than I should be allowed, and let me tell you, when things get busy, it gets *busy*.
I can logically see how this happened, but I wasn't expecting the fumble in the voice actor department.

... what the F*** are you even on about? That is, quite literally, one of the best company apologies I have ever seen.
Yes. They were unprofessional on an incredible level.
They messed up. Badly.
They explicitly said they had no excuse to give. They explicitly said they failed the community, and the VAs. And they in no way implied by that they were asking for forgiveness.
THAT is how you write an apology.
There are so many reasons they could have gone into and listed. They could have said that they had been buried under work (because they are the literal voice director, so they are swamped as hell), they could have said they had mental issues, etc. I am sure they had so many reasons.
But they swallowed their pride, put their heart out there, and bared their throat to the blood-hungry online crowds.
Personally, I think you just want to be angry, and give them a punishment far outsized than what they deserve. Calling for a monetary fine that will go to supporting the VA, reprising them or hiring the VA back, etc. Those are fine.
But you are just being an arse right now, baying for blood.
@@TheMonotonePuppet
It's not even illegal in many parts of the U.S., I don't know about other countries, but here you can literally fire anybody without notice at any time for no reason in any "right to work" state. It sucks, but it's not illegal. Them actually taking responsibility and apologizing for it is pretty rare. I don't know how many of these people are international or U.S. based or not and what laws apply to online work, but just putting that specific nonsense into perspective, there are always loopholes and complications from a legal standpoint. Asking a CEO/chairman to step down for what is, in the grand scheme of things, an incredibly small. It sucks for everybody involved for sure, but CEOs of much larger companies don't step down or apologize even when they've been involved in actual abuse scandals with proof and are going to court over it. For all we know, the people y'all are wanting to leave the company might be the ones making it run well at all. You'd be surprised how often one or two people are the linchpin in how smoothly a small company like Glitch runs and how quickly it might fall apart under different leadership.

Good exaple of why you not only i form people BEFORE replacing them, but make it clear you might. However, voice acting usually is a project to project pay field, in this better called video to video. So, she did kind of asume that she would be kept on to continue to voice the character. However, if she WAS told she was going to continue to vouce the character, that is not a lawful termination.
Moral of the story: make sure you have a clear and concise contract for voicing a character, inform people they are let go or not being brough back, and AKWAYS repspond to former employees when they are asking for an explination.

They need to speak up.
AnimationEpic spoke up back in 2022 about the Loren and Tyler situation. I hope Glitch does the same.
it’s like this kind of drama happens every/every few months at this point
POV: your a genuine good person who gets dragged into drama over your company being bad-
I thought It was something big lol, well It is bad to not notify someone before you replace them but is something easy to fix between them
Glitch: Agh, please, just end me alreadyyyyy
Spindle horse: You’ll get used to it
To others who think they know how this works. Here in Australia we allow this kind of thing under that act that was legislated in 2009 (it was called Fair work Act 2009). Where Employers are allowed to do this kind of thing. So other Australian companies can do this not just Glitch.
What honestly infuriates me with people saying it’s ‘nothing’ is that there is concrete proof to Glitch Productions being a shitty company to its workers. Like, you can’t just sweep the mistreatment of workers and cast under the rug all because they made the traumatized clown show.
Exactly that' what me, anime america and others are calling out
Yeah it's so fucking frustrating.
This is so TRUE, people don’t understand, the problem wasn’t that the VA was replaced it was that they were replaced without their knowledge. People can’t keep ignoring mistreatment because they like the show
The comments in this video make my blood boil, holy shit people here are insufferable.
@@billcipher3953that kind of thing is legal under Australian Fairwork Act 2009.
Don't take this as a definitive opinion since we don't have enough info to be sure about everything, but I think I can forgive Glitch for this.
Yes, they're to blame, but if we believe what they're saying, it was the voice director's fault, and she apologized.
She didn't try to make excuses, she admitted her wrongs and apologized. We are only human, we can all make mistakes, and all we can do is learn to not repeat them. So to me it's fine, I can forgive her.
I guess there's the question if it was truly her, but that's another can of worms and we don't have enough info on that.
Yknow, I've always hated Kevin. Ever since he started becoming overly involved with his brother's main channel, I could tell something was up. Good to see I was justified in thinking that.
I’m glad you got your reason to hate someone you disliked them not being obviously terrible. It’s also always very vindicating.
“…For five minutes. Can we not have indie animations drama FOR FIVE MINUTES!?”
Honestly I’m surprised it took this like for us all to be an agreement about SMG4. I have found the series was going downhill anyway but this is much worse. Don’t get me wrong. Celeste is busy and I get why they wanted a VA to voice Tari full time but they could’ve at least told her about the replacement. It just came out of nowhere for her. And no wonder why they don’t talk about many of their other shows anymore because most of the people who worked on them quit
I take the og VA s side here although glitch is still my favorite animation studio by FAR although the mishandling of staff and the fact there was no reason to fire her makes me feel bad because they clearly wanted her fired.
Great. One of my favorite YT animation channels is under controversy. Just what I needed to hear after I just tested positive for COVID.
Yea let’s just not give any of this glitch drama and attention and and try to enjoy the channel
I wonder what Celeste did for her to be cut off so visioucly. It's hard to imagine it was without reason.
I'm scared because of the title
I agree with a lot of the points here, this was petty of Glitch Productions to do. I just hope this gets resolved quickly without any additional problems.
*Petty
@@worthybutter2004 thanks bro
@@Cyber_Girl_Hibiki_Chan No worries
Honestly this is nowhere near as bad as Transformers Prime was VA wise. It's partially why Peter Cullen isn't voicing Optimus for TV shows anymore, a character had to die in that show because no VA was getting paid and nobody could replace him when letting him go had to be done. Peter and every VA called it a horrifying nightmare and none of Twitter would survive that realization. (That is why Breakdown died by the way, rip Knockout's husband.)
Also how bad is it that I don't follow social media enough to notice these things happen?
Muppet: This apology will not go down well
Everyone: Yeah, NO SHIT
Two options.
Be understandably upset, and talk to them privately to figure out what went down
Be understandably upset, but instead, talk about it on twitter, which won't actually benefit you in anyway and you couldve used the time to reach out to them
We all know what she chose.
My name is Garrett Menshew, i am the former voice of SMG4 characters Ivan and Santa Claus. I am disappointed to see what his fan base today. All voice actors must be treated with respect. (As long as they've done nothing wrong.) And Tari's new VA is just as innocent as the character itself. Be more kind to those, you don't know what they're going through.
I mean I understand why ppl are angry but like it’s like that sort of drama of dahr mann with firing good voice actors. Tbf I just let Glitch and SMG4 handle their situation and wait til they tell us.
Why do all the fucking things I like end up having drama, fnaf helluva boss/hazbin, TADC
Jesus Christ
And to think that this came out after glitch announced there new season for the amazing digital circus
I wanna be shocked, but as a musical theater fan I saw this happen on a way fucking worse level with a certain Musical known as Bad Cinderella. . .
Oddly enough while a single apology of forgetfulness isn't truly enough I can understand it with an indie company as long as it doesn't become repetitive. Just don't let it become the whole cast learning they were fired like with Bad Cinderella especially.
There's so much "controversy" happening nowadays that i can't take any of it seriously anymore
Never thought I would hear any drama coming out of SMG4
Then You are living under a rock, smg4 has been in constant dramas all this time
Like I said on Twitter, I’m fine either with waiting longer for a response from Glitch, because a rushed response that makes them look worse isn’t what I want.
I never even knew this was going on.
I used to watch SMG4's SM64 bloopers when I was 14 lmao.
I am not trying to piss anyone off and I do not want to be that guy but meta runner was three years ago and I'd argue that it was a growing pain for the business they were inexperienced so of course poor staff management is not too surprising, this is just a observation of the controversy besides the Tari voice actor sudden termination and us being justifiably angry but besides that we don't get exact dates from smg2's voice actor and the reviews of the employees were during the growing pain.
What I am trying to say is I can't tell if we are focusing poor employee management that happened in the past and recently or if we are just focusing on the recent event and reflecting the entire blunder onto the whole company (and kevin) because of the recent blunder.
You can correct me on anything here or explain why I am wrong and I encourage it because I have no idea on what is going on.
I’ve been saying for years on end that Kevin is the bane of SMG4/Glitch and has been the one single handedly behind the companies product and quality going downhill. The fact that all the animators and even Tari’s former actress even alluded to Kevin being the one at fault where every one was referring to Luke being a sweetheart tells me that when Kevin took over and seemed to be the mastermind behind the growth of his brother’s own creation, I knew that all my blame could be placed on him.
0:05, what was that sound in the background?
Bro I found this and thought it wasn't recent
Glitch glitch glitch what can we ever do well I'm still going to watch because additional circus
I mean Celeste also voices tari in Glitches first ever series Meta runner .So they have a long history together which makes this controversy saddening
This seems like something that has been blown out of proportion. The base facts seem accurate. The VA lost her job without any major reason and was not notified, which people are reasonably upset about. Glitch has not handled it well, likely because they don't have a big (and maybe don't have any) HR team. While every employer will usually leave a few employees with a bad taste in their mouths, I would bet that the majority of the employee reviews and comments on bad working conditions are fake, and merely the product of people wanting to bring Glitch down. Some people gain a feeling of power by destroying others, and those people are jumping on the opportunity to bring down Glitch. Glitch has made a major mistake here, and they must do something to fix it, but I suspect they are not as terrible a working environment as many are making them out to be.
How does a Voice Director forget to tell a voice actor they are being replaced? I thought Voice Directors are supposed to direct the voice talents.
I don't think it's glitch because glitch hasn't been credited since 2021
NOOOO WHY SMG4... it sucks when one of your favorite youtubers gets into drama
I can't believe this would happen to glitch of all studios. I've been with SMG4 since 2019 and I've seen both old and new videos as well as all the new series on the glitch channel. Recently, l heard most of the fanbase was incredibly toxic but I never thought something like this would happen. I hope luke and kevin respond to this drama in a responsible way and not *cough* *cough* in a way viziepop would *cough* *cough*.
Sidenote: this isn't an attack against anyone. I'm just voicing my own hopes for the channel.
I agree about the apologizing privately, we don't need to know what's going on behind close doors
