In this video we show how to demo an old 1960's aluminum patio cover, and replace it with an Four Seasons Glass Room with upper and lower glass transoms, an Elitewood insulated roof and clear Illumaview skylights. The size of the room was roughly 12' by 20' for the walls and 14 ft. by 22' 6" for the roof. We included 4 lights, 2 8 ft. sliders, 2 outlets, 1 GFCI, 2 switches and two porch lights. We used the new Leviton Decora Edge switches and outlets, so fast forward to that part if you want to see a new and exciting update to electrical in 2023. Those switches and outlets are one of the biggest change to electrical since the standard switch and outlets that were introduced in the 1920's.

Looks great!! Does the all glass wall provide adequate insulation? My enclosed patio has upper single pane windows but is not insulated. I’m interested in changing it out to all glass but with good insulation so we can be enjoy it in the hot summers and cold winters.

Thanks for the video, I have a porch 20 (L)X10(W) and 8.6 (H), it is already cover by the house roof, I am planning to install glass wall, is there a recommendations for that project, does these glass walls and doors cover 8.6 height?
Hey Frank, the walls are made to size you order. Usually, you will measure the walls in inches for the width and height, and the roof in ft.

I have an existing four seasons room. But would like to open it up, is it possible to use existing roof and taking down windows and door and adding posts?

Can you explain the weep holes for the silicone outside. Did you say you drill a small hole on the outside extrusion? (Where exactly?)
Also are you guys gong to get into the all glass roofs aswell?
We don't do as many glass roof, just because most systems weather over time. I do plan on doing a video at some point, if the right project comes up. We have a curved glass roof build from years ago as well, but those we're discontinued this year, due to the curved glass going up in price and generally being hard to service.
Weep holes go above 1/2 inch up from the bottom of the concrete, on the bottom track. You can use a 1/4 in. Drill bit, or one size smaller. We line it up with the H tracks or Mullions bottom screw, just below it.

Any solar options with the roof?
Yea, you just need to add a thicker roof, and more fan beams, so that it can be permitted as solar ready.
My patio has a roof already. I just need to enclosed it with windows similar to the one on this video. How much does this cost? Do I need to get a permit from the city for installing a sun room like this?

Once the sunroom is built, is it too late later on to add a door to Window wall?
Hey VJ, no it isn't too late, you can add one later, it is tricky. It can be done though, matching material would be the most important part of the process.

How much sliope is on this roof? I see the side transoms and pocket windows, is there any insulated panels above this at all?
Hey M, there's not much slope on this roof. We generally use 1/4 to 1/2 inch per foot. Or 3 to 4 inches over the whole roof projection. It was a roughly 3 1/2 pitch for this project. We used Vinyl H channels to fill the top gap above the transoms, and some wallboard to account for slope of the concrete underneath.
