Nice review, I wish Lexus took this route with the RX, the RX only looks good sometimes at some angles the NX actually looks good all the time. I had to decide between the two recently and went with the NX.
@@RetroClinic Sadly I agree...It LQQK's a bit out of balance / e-longated and the overhang / hood of what appears to be rubberized plastic with printed grill impressions color on color simply does not work IMO!
The 450h+ "F" Sport most probably has the Nicest LQQK'n Grill of all models Very Large in comparison to all frontal fascia ...W/ the added functional side Black side air intakes the virtual size of the massive Gloss Black Clearly makes a statement....for those of us who like this LQQK..*.it is Z Best!....Euros i.e. beemer and Korean genisis are all increasing size to get a more "Prowler" Look! Korean Genesis IMO, is ugly with a semi elongated heart shape....beemers are getting really large kidney shapes
I am very disappointed in Lexus. They are making the smaller lower end vehicles better than the higher end larger vehicles. I was hoping to replace my 2018 RX 350 this year with the 2023 RX 350h. Very disappointed in it primarily the engine moving down to a 4 from the V6. I’ve been a Lexus owner since 1998 and if they don’t get their act together soon, I’ll be looking at competitors.

Kayak in the back with all gear and tie a red flag on it / No Trailer...albeit only room then for one passenger...Keep your old RX 350 V^...people are realizing they liked the V6..however mileage was bad about 22 miles per REGULAR gas.
I just bought a 2024 CPO NX350 F-Sport Handling with all the goodies and only 8000 miles. One of the first things I did was to customize the left steering wheel page 2 buttons to control the climate stuff. It shows on the HUD and I can control the fan, the direction of the air flow and the circulation option. It's my 4th Lexus. :-)
My own gripe about all cars and not just Lexus is that everything has become computerized and this is a huge, huge liability. I say this because my neighbor bought a 2022 Lexus NX 250h and just this week his screen went out. So when the screen goes out, and wen the screen goes out, there is no way to turn on the AC or adjust it. Why is this important??? Well this is Texas where it gets up to 100 degrees outside and inside the car it is much worse at 120 degrees. So my neighbor had to sweat his ass off for about an 1 1/2 hours (he traveled from Downtown Dallas to Frisco) because he couldn't adjust the AC. He took it to the dealer the next day and they stated he had a bad screen and was being replaced, but all manufacturers needs physical buttons for basic stuff like AC, because my neighbor is a classic example of what could happen here in Texas if everything is touch screen and your screen goes out.
Unusual for anything electrical to die on a Lexus, but anything can happen I suppose. Did he try setting the A/C with the "hey lexus" or voice command button?

There's a gap there for cords as well Also nearly everything in the infotainment is customizable including the HUD worth a try.
I agree with you on the comfort. I’m a bigger person and I feel more comfortable in the NX. We have a 2020 RX and yes the seats are more comfortable but I still feel better in the NX. The steering and handling I find is better on the NX

The only real prominent things missing R: The added "Adaptive Suspension" , the Massive better center of gravity balance as battery / weight centered at lowest point the Plug-in to 120Volt to as I do, NEVER use gas. The Massive power increase of *Torq from Large batt. and Horse Power increase on the 450h+ "F" Sport and of course the engine does Not have the 8dog TURBO / lack of spool up time, inherent pause coupled with the bad... HOT... running engines results in reliability issues (see all Euro cars to gain HP) the 450H+ "F" Sport is "Naturally Aspirated"...Like the LC 500 beautiful sports car type bulletproof car / V8
Another great review! I agree on a few points: 1. The Lexus Emblem needs a comeback, I'm not a fan of the LEXUS typed out. It's not as 'luxe' in my opinion. 2. The NX looks so much better and sexier than the RX. On a different note, I love the Serial Killer Murder Scene Red in my car, but I'm digging the red and black combo in the NX. Thanks for posting! 😀
Agreed, after owning the new NX I don't like the typed out font on the back. It reminds me of Lincoln which is worlds away from Lexus. Debating on having it removed or just blacked out.
@@donaldbanner2185 Multi-information display. The current Lexus ones are all 7” rectangular, with LEDs or physical gauges either side, but the RAV4 is getting a full 12.3 inch display, that other manufacturers have been fitting for years. It’s frustrating that even the new MY24 NX isn’t getting it.

Sooooooo, Lexus is using the 14" GREAT size and angled twd the driver units pretty much across the board except on the less expensive UX and NX 250.......Most you have a choice and the upper class vehicles i.e. the 450h+ "F" Sport come stock W/ 14" great simple to operate display!
Hi Kirk, I concur this vehicle fit me better than the Beemer X3, X5, the Genisis, the Cedes GLC and the Porsche Macan. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 182 lbs. Some have mentioned it was not fitting them well...I suspect they were a bit "Larger" and the side hugging nice bolstering was a bit tight. When sitting in the 450h+ "F" Sport ( same seating feel as other 350 F Sport) I feel as though it molded around me and everything felt ergonomic including the 14" infoc-tainment- center angled toward the driver....with the adjustable angle of the HUD (heads up display) Subtle but not overwhelming. For me the driver, I simply feel as part of the nimble nature of this vehicle....Especially the * 450h+ "F" Sport model Note: The torq / added power really shines & VERY quick out of the hole, ...Wheels chirp when floored and this is with the MUCH better traction and performance Michelin's ( *IMO mandatory..... to get rid at dealer for credit back the Dog Eared Bridgstone Run Flats...as RUN FLATS ride Very Harsh / tire within a tire = no cushion and BAD rolling resistance & by Law if you ever get a flat you are REQUIRED to replace the whole miserable tire with a New MISERABLE Bridgstone. As I noted earlier (other article) in I now get 49 miles per 120V charge & I never use gas....one point on the Blue imagine how nice the red calipers would look and all carbon fiber interior where the piano black is along with tint of windows to match on Dr and shotgun side !

Jus' Wow!...so now fork out another $260.00 for a BAD Hard riding ......inefficient bad rolling resistance Bridgestone. .....I Simply carry a "Hole Pluger (consists of a basically Large Needle with TAR impregnated rope) !st locate nail / hole Shove in needle with rope by large handle...Pull out Plunger / needle ..snip off rope / line ...Carry a quality inflator that is both Batt and 12V Line if necessary Fill tire and you are GOLD ...you do NOT even to have to get dirty except removing nail w/Pliers....no nuts to remove no dirty spare to put on...and No trip's to tire dealer of against the law repair shop!!!
Looks like GX550 is having the same screen with embedded AC controls. I wish Lexus would make physical AC and audio knobs because if screen will go out for whatever reason you can't use AC or audio.

Note a RUN Flat by Law Has to be discarded after a flat so you Must Buy another DOG to match....simply consider do as I do and D0 Not Wait for an hour for Stupid AAA to arrive knowing you can ONLY drive on a Run Flat 50miles by law....and have to dump it anyway!
@@kennethkim5219 I thought of that...However in the end, when you think about it ...the string impregnated with tar is fae easier and you may not even have to Jack up the vehicle....simply locate nail etc. remove with pliers insert string with plunger remove cut off string and fill with air...Because you would still have to R & R the tire Jacking up required and then take tire to have fixed...String is a Perm Fix quick and less dirty way to approach.
How is the in cabin sound when driving on the highway compared to the Rav4 XLE (non hybrid)? I ask because i have a Rav4 and the road noise and engine are so loud in the cabin.
When I sat in this I noticed the gloss black around the dash and thought that would be very distracting. If I end up getting one I would need to work out how to cover that gloss black.

@@KirkKreifels I test drove the car and the F-sport seats were a little too tight especially at the shoulders where it forces me to roll them forward the whole time. Did you notice that after a longer drive?
Fun fact: Motortrend got the NX450h+ to do 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds. (Which translates to 0-100kmh in about 5.7 seconds). You can Google for their review.
I was able to test drive an Audi Q5 (2.0T), Lexus NX 350 and 350h, and Genesis GV70 (2.0T) back-to-back last year. I found the Lexus way better compared to the Q5. Plus, the materials used in the interior is waay better than the Q5. I was actually shocked why Audi went back to hard plastics on the dash, center console, and doors, while Lexus has nuluxe leather and soft touch material. I had a "WTF" moment.
................NEVER, have heard any excessive noise......My 450h+ "F" Sport is quieter than my wifes 350 RX F Sport by far........NOTE: I believe you are hearing the aforementioned DOG Bridgestones......ride harsh, with much more noise than Michelin's OR as Kirk said the Add on Roof Rack that not only add noise but less mileage economy and IMO do not look as nice!
I've got the 350h with the Pano Moon Roof, and whilst there is no noise when the shade is closed, there is a little bit of extra noise with it open at motorway speeds.
The problem I had was more with the tire noise than the wind. I had the 18 inch wheels which looks huge on this vehicle and I can imagine even bigger wheels would be worse. But remember, this has much less insolation than the bigger RX. Overall, the NXh was comfortable and handled well. Great gas mileage also!
Mine has the 20" Bridgestone run-flats, and I've not found the noise to be intrusive at motorway speeds, it's all quite serene! I does depend a bit on the motorway surface though, some surfaces are noisier than others, some by quite a bit!
You are right about it being hard to get to the Lexus native screen, you would have to tap the screen 3x (Android Auto home > Lexus App > map/ music). The easiest way I find is to ask Lexus to pull it up by voice command. Just say "Hey Lexus, show map" (for map screen, obviously) or "Hey Lexus, USB" (for music screen)

That isn’t necessarily true. Popular models are having huge special markups by the dealer, sometimes in excess of $25k (look at the new Civic Type R for an example). The used market has completely lost it’s collective f’ng mind. I’m sure Europe has read and heard all about it
No the added battery is at the lowest area of the undercarriage, thus adding better CTG for corning & with the added aforementioned "Adaptive Suspension" the steering stiffens on curves and smooths out more of Freeway. I have mentioned elsewhere I believe the 450H+ "F" Sport is one of the finest SUV's built Fit finish are all done in JAPAN on the 450h+ "F" Sport model ONLY better than The Jaguar suv believe me we drove them all....& the 450dh+ "F" Sport goes up in value when you drive it off the lot by 13 to 17K in Re-Sale (show me any vehicle that does this?) Because of econ 101....... very few made because they only come out of Japan....un- like genesis partially made in china!

In the end the extra horse power gained on a small 4 Banger (now being used) on many even ...& sadly the RX 350 that has lost the V6 last year to achieve better efficiency and the green new freak'n deal!.....End result to get the power you put on the TUBRO it is ...VERY DOCUMENTED how BAD this is... GQQD for Power however the tradeoff is: too much *HEAT, Far too Much internal pressure LOOSER = Reliability! Euros and Korea / China Belguim for Volvo, ALL suffer.... Gaskets start to weaken, i.e. oil leaks galore... wiring starts to melt Stuff starts to go....along with your gett'n massive Headache's as in the back of your head saying Hmmmm? I wonder if I get to work today...Time to dump the BEAST!!! .This is the reason the Re-Sale simply Plummets on All Euros & Korean junk.......Japan does not have Union Shops like Canada and US where if you have a hangover Oh Well!...forget a part spot weld inspection Ah who cares I will never be fired. The base NX 250 only has 184 lb-ft of torque since it’s a carryover engine from the RAV4 & Camry. That’s also why it doesn’t need premium gas. It only needs regular unlike every other model of the NX that requires premium gas
So NOTTTTTTTTTTT true the 450h+ "F" Sport does Not even have to use gas for 49 miles & I Never buy freaK'n gas....However for the Non turbo i.e. 450h+ "F" Sport is is NON Turbo and owners manual states Regular gas 89 oct........ & it gets 89 empg in Hybred!
Cosmetically it is quite stunning! If you're impressed by girth, than this is for you. Otherwise, the UX may appeal more, which is in our garage. But if you have a burgeoning family, the RX rules. So this is a sweet compromise. The blue color is nice, REALLY nice. But to me, the white metallic has always been my favorite and a classic for Lexus Crossovers & SUV's, but without the overkill red in the F Sport. It's just too much. (And I can see marker, pen and crayon marks on those red seats en masse, if there's kids) The fact that Kirk feels more comfortable in the NX, instead of the RX, is most likely because it's simply more "nimble". Just as the UX is to me, more nimble than the NX. Power? I personally don't really care about hard acceleration in a utility driver. For me, that's not it's purpose. Very thoughtful and comprehensive review.

I got my name down for an incoming 2024 NX 350 in the Mica 2.0 at the end if September. Canadian spec F-Sport 2 trim. Been back and forth between the Acura RDX A-Spec and this. The clunky pain-in-the-a$$ infotainment system in the RDX, and how the drive mode selector takes up 50% of the center console, I wouldn't be able to live with it. Especially now that the new ZDX gave use a sneak peak on how the infotainment + center console could look like in the next-gen RDX. The RDX has more overall cargo capacity on paper, but comparing the two in-person, the NX is actually not too far off. I feel the Acura puts driving experience first and the luxury second, while it's the other way around in the Lexus. And that I can live with. A buddy of mine has the last-gen 2019 NX 300. This new generation definitely addresses most of the conplaints in the previous.
Another good review. In the UK we just get a few packages, Premium, Premium Plus and Takumi for the standard ones, and F-Sport and F-Sport with Takumi. The top Takumi spec basically just adds everything available, although I'm still not sure (and neither is the local dealer) why you can't get the Moon Roof on the 450h+?
Respectively sir ......DUNB.......As Kirk mentioned the stock stereo is VERY good...a solid B= and ML an A....HOWEVER with the slightest road noise art all it is a wash I have personally heard them both ...a wash...if you want great stereo go home and put the $1200.00+ ad on cost where you can REALLY hear it.....Give up a beautiful engineered vehicle for the idea you MIGHT hear better sound....well now Then, go over to the Euros etc...Good Luck!
Nice looking SUV but it's very expensive up here in Canada. I can't quite figure out its size. It seems like it's smack dab between a Q3 and Q5. It's easily priced like a fully loaded Q5.

This is NOT a great compact SUV for a variety of reasons. I bought my 2023 NX F Sport on impulse in late ‘22; first time in life I did this. Big mistake. Setting aside some very nice technology and a few other bells/whistles, this is not a driver’s car by any stretch. I hated it the minute I took it off the lot. Sold it after one year. It is noisy (yes, it is a Lexus), cramped, slow off the line and handles kinda “meh.” Lexus does not make drivers cars with a couple of exceptions. It is too bad they don’t make a competitor to BMW, Audi, etc. The only good news is that I could afford the error and got a car I really enjoy.
Still hard to accept the no spare tire... but the comments on here trend to acceptance. My story: had a puncture, made it home, called AAA to mount the spare (I couldn't get the lug nuts off but that's another story). The next day I went for a repair: Tire store #1 declared the tire unrepairable but didn't carry the tire. Tire store #2 would have to order it. Store #3, the Toyota dealer, ordered it and it was there the next day. I only have the one car so drove around for a day or two on the space saver. I still would vote for having a spare and jack and hesitate to buy a car without one.

... bruh 7 seconds plenty quick? Your 350 was 6.6 seconds. This is not competitive in this segment which is fighting against RWD based architectures whose base models are like 1-2 seconds faster in acceleration. Literally pointless car, just get a venza, save some dough. EDIT: Interior materials also look like a step down from last model, at least sitting on the passenger side.
Although the 450h+ "F" Sport is VERY quick (big elec batt asist out of hole elec chirps all wheels)...it was Not the added speed I was after but rather, the OPTIONS: i.e. to use NO Freak'n Gas.... at all..... however, if need be, use regular & in Hybred mode you get .......*Yep! 89 miles of empg that is huge!!!!....My thought is NOT to use the polluting oil consuming, maintenance monster ICE. ( I do however fire it once every two months for about 1 mile Jus' to keep the Fluids circulating ad gaskets moist. Change the OIL every year even though there is VERY little use as Oil deteriorates.....At this RATE the ICE will be virtually Brand new in years to come....GREAT TO HAVE A BACKUP!.....This is why I mentioned the 450h+ F Sport is the finest built vehicle!

I like it and all, but really 50k+ for a compact crossover seems insane to me. I'm starting to think I'll be driving my Toyota forever just because I don't want to pay more for a car than I paid for my first house!
Trust me, you’re getting a real bargain in the US. $50 K isn’t much when you consider it’s $75K here in Poland. And the wait time is about a year. Otherwise I’d snag one right away.
I have an NX loaner atm while my ES is at Lexus. I’m extremely disappointed in this car. The engine sounds extremely unrefined, and the interior is nice at first glance but after interacting with it you see it’s cheapo. The doors close with a cheapy sound, the interior door handle is all plastic and feels awful and much of the interior plastics sound and feel bargain basement. The plastic housing for the auto windshield wiper sensor behind the rear view mirror rattles over every bump. This car doesn’t feel like a lexus more like a Ford

That's another thing I'm not so sure about is the abundance of glossy black in the NX and the new RX, I prefer the last gen RX interior and the new gen exterior. I think I'll just get the latest gen GX to replace my 4R.
Sorry, I disagree with "best looking", I think the RX is better looking. The back end of the NX looks snubbed from the side view, other than that I think it looks great.

This is my favorite car ever thanks for reviewing it. It's the best looking model imo they really saved the best for last of this design language before moving on the whale shark design. 👏 I love the turbo for this smaller size

I just bought a 2024 CPO NX350 F-Sport Handling with all the goodies and only 8000 miles. One of the first things I did was to customize the left steering wheel page 2 buttons to control the climate stuff. It shows on the HUD and I can control the fan, the direction of the air flow and the circulation option. It's my 4th Lexus. :-)

My own gripe about all cars and not just Lexus is that everything has become computerized and this is a huge, huge liability. I say this because my neighbor bought a 2022 Lexus NX 250h and just this week his screen went out. So when the screen goes out, and wen the screen goes out, there is no way to turn on the AC or adjust it. Why is this important??? Well this is Texas where it gets up to 100 degrees outside and inside the car it is much worse at 120 degrees. So my neighbor had to sweat his ass off for about an 1 1/2 hours (he traveled from Downtown Dallas to Frisco) because he couldn't adjust the AC.
He took it to the dealer the next day and they stated he had a bad screen and was being replaced, but all manufacturers needs physical buttons for basic stuff like AC, because my neighbor is a classic example of what could happen here in Texas if everything is touch screen and your screen goes out.
Unusual for anything electrical to die on a Lexus, but anything can happen I suppose. Did he try setting the A/C with the "hey lexus" or voice command button?

Edit: Just flip your phone upside down on the wireless charger or just put it in the center console. There's a gap there for cords as well
Also nearly everything in the infotainment is customizable including the HUD worth a try.

I agree with you on the comfort. I’m a bigger person and I feel more comfortable in the NX. We have a 2020 RX and yes the seats are more comfortable but I still feel better in the NX. The steering and handling I find is better on the NX

IMO! The only real prominent things missing R: The added "Adaptive Suspension" , the Massive better center of gravity balance as battery / weight centered at lowest point the Plug-in to 120Volt to as I do, NEVER use gas. The Massive power increase of *Torq from Large batt. and Horse Power increase on the 450h+ "F" Sport and of course the engine does Not have the 8dog TURBO / lack of spool up time, inherent pause coupled with the bad... HOT... running engines results in reliability issues (see all Euro cars to gain HP) the 450H+ "F" Sport is "Naturally Aspirated"...Like the LC 500 beautiful sports car type bulletproof car / V8

Another great review! I agree on a few points: 1. The Lexus Emblem needs a comeback, I'm not a fan of the LEXUS typed out. It's not as 'luxe' in my opinion. 2. The NX looks so much better and sexier than the RX. On a different note, I love the Serial Killer Murder Scene Red in my car, but I'm digging the red and black combo in the NX. Thanks for posting! 😀
Agreed, after owning the new NX I don't like the typed out font on the back. It reminds me of Lincoln which is worlds away from Lexus. Debating on having it removed or just blacked out.

@@donaldbanner2185 Multi-information display. The current Lexus ones are all 7” rectangular, with LEDs or physical gauges either side, but the RAV4 is getting a full 12.3 inch display, that other manufacturers have been fitting for years. It’s frustrating that even the new MY24 NX isn’t getting it.

The RX500H does not have drive mode nob but you can set it on setting so you can change drive mode on wheel left, right, up, down controller.
Hi Kirk, I concur this vehicle fit me better than the Beemer X3, X5, the Genisis, the Cedes GLC and the Porsche Macan. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 182 lbs. Some have mentioned it was not fitting them well...I suspect they were a bit "Larger" and the side hugging nice bolstering was a bit tight. When sitting in the 450h+ "F" Sport ( same seating feel as other 350 F Sport) I feel as though it molded around me and everything felt ergonomic including the 14" infoc-tainment- center angled toward the driver....with the adjustable angle of the HUD (heads up display) Subtle but not overwhelming. For me the driver, I simply feel as part of the nimble nature of this vehicle....Especially the * 450h+ "F" Sport model Note: The torq / added power really shines & VERY quick out of the hole, ...Wheels chirp when floored and this is with the MUCH better traction and performance Michelin's ( *IMO mandatory..... to get rid at dealer for credit back the Dog Eared Bridgstone Run Flats...as RUN FLATS ride Very Harsh / tire within a tire = no cushion and BAD rolling resistance & by Law if you ever get a flat you are REQUIRED to replace the whole miserable tire with a New MISERABLE Bridgstone. As I noted earlier (other article) in I now get 49 miles per 120V charge & I never use gas....one point on the Blue imagine how nice the red calipers would look and all carbon fiber interior where the piano black is along with tint of windows to match on Dr and shotgun side !

Looks like GX550 is having the same screen with embedded AC controls. I wish Lexus would make physical AC and audio knobs because if screen will go out for whatever reason you can't use AC or audio.

They justify it with runflat tires. You can remove the storage bins and put a spare tire in there though. I did that with my NX 350.

@@kennethkim5219 I thought of that...However in the end, when you think about it ...the string impregnated with tar is fae easier and you may not even have to Jack up the vehicle....simply locate nail etc. remove with pliers insert string with plunger remove cut off string and fill with air...Because you would still have to R & R the tire Jacking up required and then take tire to have fixed...String is a Perm Fix quick and less dirty way to approach.

How is the in cabin sound when driving on the highway compared to the Rav4 XLE (non hybrid)? I ask because i have a Rav4 and the road noise and engine are so loud in the cabin.
I agree. The engine sounds like it’s going to blow up going up a small hill. It’s also underpowered. Reliable though.

Small boosters like bubble bums could fit three across.
@@KirkKreifels I test drove the car and the F-sport seats were a little too tight especially at the shoulders where it forces me to roll them forward the whole time. Did you notice that after a longer drive?

you might Just, consider the 450h+ "F" Sport...a far better driving experience with the added POWER and Adaptive Suspension IMO!
Fun fact: Motortrend got the NX450h+ to do 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds. (Which translates to 0-100kmh in about 5.7 seconds). You can Google for their review.
Motortrend also has a prepped surface. In real world maybe a bit slower.

I was able to test drive an Audi Q5 (2.0T), Lexus NX 350 and 350h, and Genesis GV70 (2.0T) back-to-back last year. I found the Lexus way better compared to the Q5. Plus, the materials used in the interior is waay better than the Q5. I was actually shocked why Audi went back to hard plastics on the dash, center console, and doors, while Lexus has nuluxe leather and soft touch material. I had a "WTF" moment.

Do you have the roof cross bar? Our 2024 NX350H does not and it doesn’t have much much noise from the roof at highway speed.
................NEVER, have heard any excessive noise......My 450h+ "F" Sport is quieter than my wifes 350 RX F Sport by far........NOTE: I believe you are hearing the aforementioned DOG Bridgestones......ride harsh, with much more noise than Michelin's OR as Kirk said the Add on Roof Rack that not only add noise but less mileage economy and IMO do not look as nice!
I've got the 350h with the Pano Moon Roof, and whilst there is no noise when the shade is closed, there is a little bit of extra noise with it open at motorway speeds.
The problem I had was more with the tire noise than the wind. I had the 18 inch wheels which looks huge on this vehicle and I can imagine even bigger wheels would be worse. But remember, this has much less insolation than the bigger RX. Overall, the NXh was comfortable and handled well. Great gas mileage also!
Mine has the 20" Bridgestone run-flats, and I've not found the noise to be intrusive at motorway speeds, it's all quite serene! I does depend a bit on the motorway surface though, some surfaces are noisier than others, some by quite a bit!

You are right about it being hard to get to the Lexus native screen, you would have to tap the screen 3x (Android Auto home > Lexus App > map/ music). The easiest way I find is to ask Lexus to pull it up by voice command. Just say "Hey Lexus, show map" (for map screen, obviously) or "Hey Lexus, USB" (for music screen)
I do NOT use Android ...However with Apple I have Never seen this issue on the 14"

No the added battery is at the lowest area of the undercarriage, thus adding better CTG for corning & with the added aforementioned "Adaptive Suspension" the steering stiffens on curves and smooths out more of Freeway. I have mentioned elsewhere I believe the 450H+ "F" Sport is one of the finest SUV's built Fit finish are all done in JAPAN on the 450h+ "F" Sport model ONLY better than The Jaguar suv believe me we drove them all....& the 450dh+ "F" Sport goes up in value when you drive it off the lot by 13 to 17K in Re-Sale (show me any vehicle that does this?) Because of econ 101....... very few made because they only come out of Japan....un- like genesis partially made in china!

The base NX 250 only has 184 lb-ft of torque since it’s a carryover engine from the RAV4 & Camry. That’s also why it doesn’t need premium gas. It only needs regular unlike every other model of the NX that requires premium gas
So NOTTTTTTTTTTT true the 450h+ "F" Sport does Not even have to use gas for 49 miles & I Never buy freaK'n gas....However for the Non turbo i.e. 450h+ "F" Sport is is NON Turbo and owners manual states Regular gas 89 oct........ & it gets 89 empg in Hybred!
Cosmetically it is quite stunning! If you're impressed by girth, than this is for you. Otherwise, the UX may appeal more, which is in our garage. But if you have a burgeoning family, the RX rules.
So this is a sweet compromise. The blue color is nice, REALLY nice. But to me, the white metallic has always been my favorite and a classic for Lexus Crossovers & SUV's, but without the overkill red in the F Sport. It's just too much. (And I can see marker, pen and crayon marks on those red seats en masse, if there's kids)
The fact that Kirk feels more comfortable in the NX, instead of the RX, is most likely because it's simply more "nimble". Just as the UX is to me, more nimble than the NX.
Power? I personally don't really care about hard acceleration in a utility driver. For me, that's not it's purpose.

I got my name down for an incoming 2024 NX 350 in the Mica 2.0 at the end if September. Canadian spec F-Sport 2 trim. Been back and forth between the Acura RDX A-Spec and this. The clunky pain-in-the-a$$ infotainment system in the RDX, and how the drive mode selector takes up 50% of the center console, I wouldn't be able to live with it. Especially now that the new ZDX gave use a sneak peak on how the infotainment + center console could look like in the next-gen RDX. The RDX has more overall cargo capacity on paper, but comparing the two in-person, the NX is actually not too far off. I feel the Acura puts driving experience first and the luxury second, while it's the other way around in the Lexus. And that I can live with. A buddy of mine has the last-gen 2019 NX 300. This new generation definitely addresses most of the conplaints in the previous.
Another good review. In the UK we just get a few packages, Premium, Premium Plus and Takumi for the standard ones, and F-Sport and F-Sport with Takumi. The top Takumi spec basically just adds everything available, although I'm still not sure (and neither is the local dealer) why you can't get the Moon Roof on the 450h+?
Have a fewNX450Hs around me that are enticing me every day but idk if I can live without the mark levinson as silly as that sounds
Respectively sir ......DUNB.......As Kirk mentioned the stock stereo is VERY good...a solid B= and ML an A....HOWEVER with the slightest road noise art all it is a wash I have personally heard them both ...a wash...if you want great stereo go home and put the $1200.00+ ad on cost where you can REALLY hear it.....Give up a beautiful engineered vehicle for the idea you MIGHT hear better sound....well now Then, go over to the Euros etc...Good Luck!

RX is a raised hatchback for fancy people to go golf. The trunk usability is poor.
This is NOT a great compact SUV for a variety of reasons. I bought my 2023 NX F Sport on impulse in late ‘22; first time in life I did this. Big mistake. Setting aside some very nice technology and a few other bells/whistles, this is not a driver’s car by any stretch. I hated it the minute I took it off the lot. Sold it after one year. It is noisy (yes, it is a Lexus), cramped, slow off the line and handles kinda “meh.” Lexus does not make drivers cars with a couple of exceptions. It is too bad they don’t make a competitor to BMW, Audi, etc. The only good news is that I could afford the error and got a car I really enjoy.
Still hard to accept the no spare tire... but the comments on here trend to acceptance. My story: had a puncture, made it home, called AAA to mount the spare (I couldn't get the lug nuts off but that's another story). The next day I went for a repair: Tire store #1 declared the tire unrepairable but didn't carry the tire. Tire store #2 would have to order it. Store #3, the Toyota dealer, ordered it and it was there the next day. I only have the one car so drove around for a day or two on the space saver. I still would vote for having a spare and jack and hesitate to buy a car without one.

... bruh 7 seconds plenty quick? Your 350 was 6.6 seconds. This is not competitive in this segment which is fighting against RWD based architectures whose base models are like 1-2 seconds faster in acceleration. Literally pointless car, just get a venza, save some dough. EDIT: Interior materials also look like a step down from last model, at least sitting on the passenger side.
I agree the dash is poor on passenger side. 7s is quick enough for the targeted buyer. Hybrids are the way to go here if you can wait for them.
Although the 450h+ "F" Sport is VERY quick (big elec batt asist out of hole elec chirps all wheels)...it was Not the added speed I was after but rather, the OPTIONS: i.e. to use NO Freak'n Gas.... at all..... however, if need be, use regular & in Hybred mode you get .......*Yep! 89 miles of empg that is huge!!!!....My thought is NOT to use the polluting oil consuming, maintenance monster ICE. ( I do however fire it once every two months for about 1 mile Jus' to keep the Fluids circulating ad gaskets moist. Change the OIL every year even though there is VERY little use as Oil deteriorates.....At this RATE the ICE will be virtually Brand new in years to come....GREAT TO HAVE A BACKUP!.....This is why I mentioned the 450h+ F Sport is the finest built vehicle!
My Toyota Camry is so much faster than the nx350 and it has a freaking v6. The performance in it matches the nx450h+ yet it’s at least 20k cheaper

I’ve driven both and I couldn’t really tell any difference. Drove the same, both rode terrible, both were noisy inside and both performed the same
I like it and all, but really 50k+ for a compact crossover seems insane to me. I'm starting to think I'll be driving my Toyota forever just because I don't want to pay more for a car than I paid for my first house!
Trust me, you’re getting a real bargain in the US. $50 K isn’t much when you consider it’s $75K here in Poland. And the wait time is about a year. Otherwise I’d snag one right away.
I have an NX loaner atm while my ES is at Lexus. I’m extremely disappointed in this car. The engine sounds extremely unrefined, and the interior is nice at first glance but after interacting with it you see it’s cheapo. The doors close with a cheapy sound, the interior door handle is all plastic and feels awful and much of the interior plastics sound and feel bargain basement. The plastic housing for the auto windshield wiper sensor behind the rear view mirror rattles over every bump. This car doesn’t feel like a lexus more like a Ford

Exterior looks like previous Gen RAV4...not a big fan. Looks like a fat jelly bean on wheels. Nothing at all like a boxy rugged look

That's another thing I'm not so sure about is the abundance of glossy black in the NX and the new RX, I prefer the last gen RX interior and the new gen exterior. I think I'll just get the latest gen GX to replace my 4R.
Sorry, I disagree with "best looking", I think the RX is better looking. The back end of the NX looks snubbed from the side view, other than that I think it looks great.

No he's right, this looks better than the RX, the RX looks like overstyling and lot of things on the front grill are out of space
And I forgot about the biggest downfall of this car and that is no spare tire and having run-flat tires NO THANKS.
.............The biggest "Downfall" of your ThiMk'n is: Dump the RUN FLATS at dealer for credit,,,,, put on Michelin's, add a puncture kit impregnated rope insert-er and a quality air inflator Do- Not wait for AAA for an hour+ and you are gold................Your criteria is HIGHLY Flawed!!!

Requires PREMIUM EXPENSIVE Poluting gas and wear and tear oil etc on the ICE.........I Do-Not even Use gas........... and can use regular if ever??? needed!............B both of your options are not *nearly as nimble for around town and with 50K Michelin's pretty good chance...operative word chance / no flats...However tire plugs are easy and do not wait nor have to go to repair shop!!!.
@@wally6193 You still have to get out ...jack up vehicle get real dirty or freaK'n wait 1 hour + for AAA wait for your tire to be repaired somewhere??? Tire plugs are EASY! find the nail remove with pliers...insert plug press a button to inflate most times you do not even have to jack up car...Quick and you are on your way.....sounds as if you always depend on others?....Your choice!

This is my favorite car ever thanks for reviewing it. It's the best looking model imo they really saved the best for last of this design language before moving on the whale shark design. 👏 I love the turbo for this smaller size

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? careful what you wish for; on aforementioned Turbos do your research...they inherent RUN VERY hot melt down of wiring and additional components.....see Euros and Korean crap....additionally there is an inherent LAG at X rpm requiring time for Dog Turbo to spool up!
