i bought mi 9t pro, in 2019 bcoz of its high specs and super amoled, and i did research how to prevent burn in and to avoid pixel dead, but after two and half yrs of using, the screen just died and i spend 4k pesos for screen replacement. now i dont want an amoled screen.

I'm an X3 GT user, the issues I faced with this phone were because it's a Mediatek processor, its speed isn't the issue but the optimization with apps, I ran into issues a couple times, but updates overtime made it better, it now has Android 13 and MIUI 14 and everything feels smooth, zero issues at all. Now with the display, it's great for gaming sure, but media consumption especially Disney+ or Netflix, I'm not satisfied with its "HDR", coupled with the poor viewing angles and mediocre at best brightness level especially with I'm under direct sunlight, it's indeed a Gaming phone but not an all around phone apparently. Everything else though like the Speakers and Gaming Performance are mint. Cameras are decent, I'm not a camera centric person so it's passable, it works its wonders specially with the AI mode.
@@ammarjo1493 they said that the ips lcd of x4 gt is A+ grade, it maybe not better than Amoled but it still close and almost the same and the fact that it is ips, it has longer lifespan than amoled
This is perfect, since I'm sensitive to the PWM and am always on the look out for phones with good specs, but an LCD display. This is also perfect to buy for ones children, who play games on their phones, since I think that PWM should be avoided with kids, until their eyes and brain fully develops. Just in case.
Is there anyone who benefits us after the experience?? The battery gives you how many hours open screen if you use social media, phone data is open, sometimes high lighting, and RUclips is about two hours a day...?? No games and no high screen frequency

OLED is overrated vs IPS. don't get me wrong, it's the better technology on paper.. I would take durability over sunlight legibility any day. This LCD also has DC dimming already. Not all OLEDS are the same, read the fine print! at this price point or lower, you won't get the best of the best OLED panels.

help me with this one fam, i am looking for a phone that will last me for 3-4 years at most (im not the type of guy who upgrades his phone every 1-2 years).. so far my phone of choices are the following: Realme Gt Neo 2 Poco F3 Redmi K40 Pocp X4 GT which one of these phones will provide me a better experience and a long lifespan along the road? main drawback of buying the Poco X4 GT is that it has a MediaTek processor that doesnt support custom roms, which i will install later on if its update support has ended..

custom roms in mediatek is getting better and easier to fix this day if your phone dont have custom rom you can rely in GSI which is Good Enough for Daily Use
@@RenzoClaros Hmm 🤔 I experienced major battery drain in the beginning on 144hz (the reason I bought it), haven't put in my SIM yet though. Perhaps the battery/system needed adjusting. Hopefully when I will use it day to day it also gives me a minimum of 6 hrs.
500 nits brightness is NOT useable in direct sunlight. Try testing on a really sunny day. Try doing deliveries on a bicycle. It is completely worthless as you will be pulling over every 5 minutes to find shade. Even the M4 Pro and X4 Pro have 700 nits displays, why couldn't this one? Pure garbage.

Poco X4 GT with the Dimensity 8100 is a great choice for consumers especially for gamers and 5G connectivity.

I'm in the same boat. The X4 GT is the only decent smartphone released in 2022 that still sports an LCD IPS. Don't really have a choice.

Is dead pixel more common on oled? All the dead pixels i have seen were on lcds.

8-9 hours but i did some heavy tweaking so more like 6-7 hours

Phone is good, would buy this despite the LCD screen. My only gripe about this is, it has no IP53 rating. I'd love to have that at this price point.
Nah its not that bad. Just be extra careful not to spill water. I've been using non IP53 phone for years.

Screen retention happens way less often than screen burn-ins. Tho honestly you just gotta be unlucky if that ever happens to your device

There is no big difference comparing with X3 GT. X3 GT also has really good LCD like X4 GT difference is brightness.
30-40 fps is due to poco's software lol.
In settings you can enable the performance mode that will give the phone a massive boost
