Modernly in terms of missed cards for this list, there's Cyberstorm access's mascot Firewall dragon singularity. A link 6 that requires a mandatory 3+ effect monsters to summon, meaning the common way to cheat it out is to use three link two effect monsters as the entire material requirement. How about top 10 monsters that can be made with any amount of material of your choice, like the Worm fusion or various Cyber Dragon fusions or Rongo Bongo?

@@randomcatname7792 That's a full board. 6 Sams have a Trap card for that achievement. Cydra Fusions are capped by your deck. Can't show up with that 1000 card deck from the past anymore since 40-60 became mandatory.
@@randomcatname7792 I'm refuting that point directly. You could likely find a way to make Quasar with 11 total materials, but any more than 3, "a 3-mat", is pushing towards an upper limit of investment. This video above looks for 5 materials which is a hand/board ask. If you can use 11 materials you can use 5 typically, making the option to use 11 as unnecessary as hard making a Cxyz without the Rank-Up. Some materials are listed as 2+ which may in fact be any amount but is artificially capped by the Field, like how these Fusions are capped by the Deck.

I was surprised to find out that Cyberdark monsters were considered one of the worst GX era archetypes, considering that was also when Roids and Volcanics came out. I’m so glad Cyberdarks got more support. They’re awesome!
Not surprised by the number of "Towers" on the list. I'll say a monster that requires so many materials is only worth it if the pay-off for summoning it is that good. As an aside, Goddess of the Underworld has saved me more than once when playing Master Duel (including one time against a full powered Arrival @Ignister). I keep it in my Pendulum decks just because it's such a good answer against Towers.
Yay! Quintet magician made a list! I run Dark magicians as my main deck (non competitive of course!) and I love that card! If you buff it with Mage Power it can be a good beat stick and if you have Staunch Defender and force your opponent to attack it, I can dish out a bunch of damage

I'm offended that the 5 headed link was placed above quintet. I've used quintet in surprise plays a lot in DM, Gravekeeper's, and any other spellcaster deck I've ever run. The rest of the list I agree with, though, haha.
I use Quintet Magician on my Witchcrafter deck. Because Quintet doesn't have targeting protection, his other protection can be turned off by a single Imperm. Haine has an effect that says, "Your opponent cannot target other Spellcaster Monster you control with card effects". So if I have double Haine on the field, I can make my Quintet Magician cannot be targetted by card effect at all

One Copy of Poly? Sure, Thought Would Suggest also having Necro Fusion as a card for the Deck due to the fact it’s easier to just banish the All the cards in Grave for this Monster! Only thing I hate about speedroids in the Wind-Centric effects of some of their monsters! Thankfully not all of them have that limitation.
Shooting Quasar has to be one of my favorite cards. I played a lot of Tag Force 6 and that was my win con in Fabled, Plant, Junk, and Zombie synchro decks

I utilized Quintet Magician in my Branded Shaddoll Pile Grass deck, since most Shaddoll monsters are spellcasters, the QM's board wipe effect can be achieved. To cheat out the fusion materials, I used a Chain Material trap card, it allows you to use cards from the deck to do fusion summon but with the cost the fusion materials are being banished. Going 1st, set up Mirrorjade and Branded in Red and Chain Material, during 2nd turn, activate Red CL1 Chain Material CL2, return any Despia from GY then fuse 5 spellcasters Shaddoll from deck, then see the entire opponent's board got wiped and you got 1 tower-like beatstick :)

Number 6 is one of those interesting cases where the anime used the very strategy that would help contribute to a card’s ban/errata. Future Fusion + Five-Headed Dragon was used in GX (it was in un-dubbed Season 4), similar to how Jaiden used Mirage of Nightmare + destroying it to avoid the negative effect.
I really enjoy my Shaddoll Quintet Magician deck for casual play. Usually plays like Shaddoll but they few times I am able to make Quintet the reaction is priceless.
I’ll always have a soft spot for the original Five Headed Dragon - I legitimately keep him in my Extra Deck as a Super Poly target at all times, just due to how prevalent Dragons are. It’s made that one guy at my locals who plays Dragon Links almost exclusively Mald a lot…
i thought of the card flower cardian lightflare. the deck can bring it out pretty consistently, it has a negate, negates the effects of things it battles, and can summon lightshower when destroyed. if only flower cardians were better overall.
Technically Lightflare is generic, but difficult to make outside Flower Cardians as it requires exactly 5 monsters whose total Levels equal exactly 10. But it would definitely be a noteworthy accomplishment if you manage to summon it without Flower Cardians....
Built a deck back in the day that could 1st turn a Shooting Quasar 1st turn about 90% of the time. The other 10% it would hit the board 2nd turn. It was a wild time.
Underworld Goddess is the bane of my deck. It’s the most common out people (especially Tearlament players) use on my Code Talker deck. Though usually they waste so much material that they can’t push for game after taking out my Access CodeTalker that’s unaffected by card effects.
Five headed link Dragon is *extremely* easy to make in Generaids, for two monsters. Since the field spell makes up to 5 tokens on your opponents turn you can use I:P Masquraina to summon Five-Headed link dragon on your opponents turn. And given generaids use a lot of monsters with different types, you may even get to use the board wipe effect. It's by no means a really good interaction, but it is somewhere that Link dragon is VERY easy to bring out. The same with Goddess of the closed world actually, because Generaids very easily get quite a few monsters summoned on your opponents turn, even if you cannot use the tokens. Makes it a quickplay Kaiju too!

underworld goddess was a mistake imho. allowing a "tribute enemy monster" effect on an extra deck monster evne if its justone is inevitably gonna be problematic later on especially whe nthe resulting monster is immune ot everything that doesnt specifically target + it has an omni negate.
The main thing with her is, you need to get monsters for her. Often times it can be difficult to get 4 monsters in field with an established board of your opponent. I think it’s very fair
Yeah, but in gx it went back to being a fusion monster. What I really want is an archetype for them. We nearly got something like that with dragon rulers, but they got banned so now the closest we have to an elemental dragon archetype is dragon maids.
Because the requirement would be something ridiculous like "Tribute 5 monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal exactly 12". Plus it couldn't attack the turn it was Summoned in the anime.
I feel like Great Magnus should have been an honourable mention for this list - it isn't always brought out using 5 materials, but it's a true nightmare if it is. Sadly, Quants aren't that great of a deck, but it doesn't discount the quality of their boss monster.
I actually do use Five-Headed Link Dragon in my Super Quant deck. It mostly serves as a backup plan in case Magnus somehow gets beaten, since Magnus gives me three monsters when sent to the graveyard. Since it's not that hard to get two more monsters out in a Super Quant deck, and one of the more common ways to break a tower like Magnus is to use a Kaiju, I have a prety good chance of getting FLD out (even managed to keep it around until the end of my opponent's 5th turn). Of course, in terms of Link monsters that are probably more beneficial to get out, it would be Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops over Five-Headed Link Dragon.

(Quick Effect): You can activate 1 of the following effects per turn:_ ⚪️ Add 1 Spell/Trap card to your hand (From your deck or GY) that mentions a matching attribute as 1 of this cards fusion materials in its text. ⚪️Banish 1 Effect monster your control facedown: Special summon 1 non-effect monster with a matching type and attribute, and if you do, that summoned monster gains the name and effects of the banished monster until either this effect is activated again or this monster leaves the field. ⚪️Declare an attribute of a Spellcaster or “Magician” monster you control: Monsters you control cannot be destroyed (By battle or card effects) by monsters with the declared attribute for the rest of the turn. ATK/4500 DEF/4500
Then why are Borrelend, Underworld Goddess, Shooting Quasar and The Arrival on the list then as they don't require 5 materials for their summon? On and I haven't forgotten that in order to bring the materials for Quasar out you need at least 6 monsters but to actually summon it the minimum is 3 not 5 and therefore shouldn't be in the list.
@@CaptainB1994 Borrelend and Underworld Goddess are each Link-5 so by definition, they require 5 monsters to summon (even if you Link climb). The Arrival shares the same concept, but you need 6 monsters since it's Link-6. All Link climbing does is make you use more monsters, since each Link Monster you use adds another material to the requirement. By that measure, Avramax would technically qualify for this list despite being Link-4 (unless you use the Numeron engine), because its materials are 2+ monsters that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and each of those monsters requires materials to bring out. Same goes for A-to-Z Dragon Buster Cannon; it takes 8 materials to bring out since you MUST use ABC-Dragon Buster AND XYZ-Dragon Cannon specifically, with no substitutes, and both of those monsters are semi-Nomi so you need materials for each of those. EDIT: Forgot about the Numeron engine.
Good deck for Arrival other the ignister is the pendulum deck solfachord as most of their monsters are different attributes, can summon a big board with the pendulum summon on top if you scaled with a solfachord monster all Solfachord pendulum summons cannot be negated meaning other monster you have can be also summoned along with them. I wouldn't mind, but I first encountered that Underworld Goddess on Master Duel and found it be a pain! Then I bought one of my many 2022 Tins and pulled one and was taken aback, as you can probably imagine! Then I bought another Tin and pulled a second! I know... And when I saw this video, I immediately thought of Shooting Quasar Dragon! But then it came up and Cosmic Blazar Dragon came to mind, who requires the exact same materials! Then I thought of Red Nova and Supernova Dragons! And, yes, I can't wait for that new Jack Structure Deck, how did you guess!
I actually know a deck that can allow you to summon five headed link dragon pretty quickly. Dragon maids. They have all the materials for it, and can get out fusions quickly as well right after for a full board wipe instant kill.
For entry #5, you absolutely cannot revive “Five-Headed Dragon” using “Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon”; “Five-Headed Dragon” has a Summoning Condition which prevents it from being Special Summoned other than Fusion Summon, even if it was properly Summoned.

hello theDuelsLogs, awesome video. question could uou do reamek from hero archetype principaly with these new neos cards which is so great. and card you forgot was Divine Neos
I wouldn't put it on the list, though. Why? Because there's a little monster called King of the Swamp that can help you get it out WAY easier. Just grab the original BLS, KotS, a Poly, and you're good to go. Thanks to King of the Swamp's effect, it counts as a Fusion Material that's mentioned by name (in this case, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon) for a Fusion Summon. Hence Dragon Master Knight can be made with 2 mats instead of 4-5.
Yeah, unfortunately the minimum material requirement for Red Supernova is 4. I believe it requires 3 Tuners and 1 non-Tuner Synchro Monster, but the latter of these can be cheated out so Red Supernova falls just short of being able to qualify. Avramax requires 2+ monsters that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck so it almost qualifies despite being a Link-4, but the Numeron engine can just cheat out the materials for it so by definition, it also falls just short of qualifying for this list.
Speaking of Link VRains cards, what about Firewall Darkfluid? That's another five material Link Monster with a powerful effect, and one who've played alongside Arrival for some fun.
Problem is, it takes WAY too much setup to be good. You need a setup completely dedicated to getting it out at max power. The main reason why that's a problem is that your opponent knows exactly what you intend to do, and can just sabotage Darkfluid when it drops. Then you're screwed. But it is an honorable mention at least.
Literally the only way I managed to climb the ladder in master duel with @ignisters last month to a decent spot was because most Tearelements decks have no way of beating a 5000 or 6000 attack The Arrival.

It's just how it is.
Fun fact: Five-Headed Dragon's first print in the TCG was as the Special Edition promo for the set Future Fusion was released in.
I'll never forget watching my opponent combo for 15 minutes to get out The Arrival, just for me to special Cyber Dragon and then use it for Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon. They scooped
@.i myself, developed a way to summon Avramax & @.rrival on main monster zone, just cause goddamn Megafleet

Other than that you'll be using 4-5 monsters to link into it.
The whole 5+ materials stuff reminded me of Super Fusion "God".
The thing about The Arrival, is that any deck that uses 6 attributes and summons from the extra deck can used, I have a Dragonmaid deck where I use The Arrival and actually summoned it a few times
Guide, please
Quintet Magician is shockingly easy to bring out in Duel Links using a Nekroz/Advanced Ritual Art engine, it builds a really solid OTK deck.
How about top 10 monsters that can be made with any amount of material of your choice, like the Worm fusion or various Cyber Dragon fusions or Rongo Bongo?
I think Rongo would be the best by a landslide unless I forgot anybody.
Even taking Gossip Shadow out of the picture it's not unimaginable for a deck to play to a 3+ mat Rongo which is why I can't picture it being released.
"Any amount" "Rongo" how are you going above 6 smh
@@randomcatname7792 That's a full board. 6 Sams have a Trap card for that achievement. Cydra Fusions are capped by your deck. Can't show up with that 1000 card deck from the past anymore since 40-60 became mandatory.
@@runningoncylinders3829 the point was that 6 barely cuts it for "any number" when there is a very large amount that can at least use 11
Top 10 monsters that have "or more" summoning conditions, aka you can theoretically summon them using infinite materials. Example: Wake Up your E Hero, Chimeratech Overdragon, Zeus, Worm Zero, etc.
Correction about Shooting quasar dragon: WHEN not IF this card leaves the field.
*GASP* I was one of the people that witnessed him record this on stream. It was quite a relaxing thing to have in the background. Also, @Ignister mains wya
Edit: I just realized that he left in the word "gamers" at the end of his description
Ayyeeee!!!
One of the most ridiculous ways I see people use quintet magician is when they use something like flash fusion with chain material to summon it and since quintet can’t be destroyed by card effect it just stays on the field
I was surprised to find out that Cyberdark monsters were considered one of the worst GX era archetypes, considering that was also when Roids and Volcanics came out. I’m so glad Cyberdarks got more support. They’re awesome!
Underworld is such a goated card
I just love dropping goddes of the underworld using one of their monster feel so good getting rid a combo extender or a boss monster
'Firewall Dragon Darkfluid - Neo Tempest Terahertz' is another possible spot on this list.
Glad to see Arrival at number one. I really wish people would give it the respect it deserves. Every thread I see it mentioned all that they talk about is how easy it is to take out with a Kaiju
It's utterly monstrous for the fact it needs to be Kaiju'd to be outed. If it can't be outed, it might as well say, 'you win the game'.
So if I have double Haine on the field, I can make my Quintet Magician cannot be targetted by card effect at all
This video lacking some of monster like:
- Infernoid Tierra
- Firewall Dragon singularity
- any Expurrely monster
- And our most favourite monster Number: 86 Rhongonymiad.
Fyi, you can cheat fusion summoning those monster with 5 materials or more with card like "Chain Material".
Underworld Goddes in a Kuriboh deck it's just hilarious......especially after ur opponent just used all it's resources to get read of ur Topologic Bamer dragon linkt to Knightmare Phoenix,Unicorn and Cerberus
Little fact about ''Barbaroid, the Ultimate Battle Machine'': Machine-type ''roid'' monsters include ''Speedroid'' Achtype, not just ''Vehicroids''. So you Can put 1 copy of ''Polymerization'' into deck as back-up plan.
Funny how quintet magician was “hard to summon” and without even realizing it i was able to make it very easily with a grave keepers deck 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ all because one of the monsters has the fusion effect if Necrovalley is on the field..won a few games for a while with this deck and basically he was my closer/finisher

The Gamaciel that hasn't been main decked aince 2018 in my opponents hand:
Quintet is one of the boss monsters of spellcaster decks in master duel that are good at swarming.
Always have Underworld Goddess for BS monsters like Arrival 😂
@@cameraredeye3115 oh yeah, i forgot that all the flower carian boss monsters are generic as long as you only use level 2s for all of them.
Unknown synchron and agent of creation-venus
Built a deck back in the day that could 1st turn a Shooting Quasar 1st turn about 90% of the time. The other 10% it would hit the board 2nd turn. It was a wild time.
Never forget a future fusion+dragon's mirror back in 2007 for a five headed dragon before even using a normal summon
Underworld Goddess is the bane of my deck. It’s the most common out people (especially Tearlament players) use on my Code Talker deck. Though usually they waste so much material that they can’t push for game after taking out my Access CodeTalker that’s unaffected by card effects.
Unaffected? It says your opponent cannot response while Transcode activates its effect.
@@Hcheeza I'm using Gatchiri support on my deck which lets me target one of my Cyberse monsters to be unaffected by card effects.
@@Hcheeza That's Accesscode that has the "cannot respond" clause, not Transcode.
Nice link boss monster u got there

I loved having Five Headed Link Dragon in my Black Garden Token Swap deck
Ah Quintet Magician. Basically a hail mary for Spellcaster decks since you can bring it late game out of nowhere using Magicalized Fusion
To Shawn li: Sorry, youtube bugged out and made me delete the comment. In response to the end Phase maintenance cost, yes it is Iffy. It would more be used as an "Oh god save me for a turn or two" panic button then anything. Or at least this is how i have used it.
Though to be fair i have long since removed it from my Generaid deck for that reason.
Fur hire as well
I’m surprised there wasn’t mention of a recent link 5 Firewall dragon darkfluid Neo Tempest Terahertz. This card can send cyberses from the GY or ED as a quick effect to give itself protection spell/trap negate from the GY and a targeted monster negate. This card will see play in mathmech especially if link decoder comes out but it’s still playable.

Banlust one was already made IIRC
underworld goddess was a mistake imho.
allowing a "tribute enemy monster" effect on an extra deck monster evne if its justone is inevitably gonna be problematic later on especially whe nthe resulting monster is immune ot everything that doesnt specifically target + it has an omni negate.
The main thing with her is, you need to get monsters for her. Often times it can be difficult to get 4 monsters in field with an established board of your opponent. I think it’s very fair
Five Headed Dragon was a ritual in the DM anime which makes me wonder why they haven't made a ritual version of it yet?
Yeah, but in gx it went back to being a fusion monster. What I really want is an archetype for them. We nearly got something like that with dragon rulers, but they got banned so now the closest we have to an elemental dragon archetype is dragon maids.
Because the requirement would be something ridiculous like "Tribute 5 monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal exactly 12". Plus it couldn't attack the turn it was Summoned in the anime.
FGD, you did good, proud of you. ❤
what about a video ranking monsters that CAN use 5+ materials, but not require 5+?
Gravekeepers can easily bring out Quintet with Spiritualist.
I run it in mine and it is a powerhouse
I run it in mine in Duel Links.
It's only "easy" in duel links
Quintet Magician Retrain to give it its time to shine:

_Five-Forces Magician_ (DARK)
Level 12
Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect
5 Spellcaster or “Magician” monsters with different attributes.
_Must be Fusion Summoned. If your opponent activates 5 or more spell/trap cards/effects in a single turn (Quick effect): You can fusion summon this card by banishing its fusion materials from your hand, field or GY, and if you do this card’s original attributes become the attributes of the banished materials. This face-up card on the field cannot be Tributed, nor used as Material, also it cannot be destroyed by card effects. (Quick Effect): You can activate 1 of the following effects per turn:_
⚪️ Add 1 Spell/Trap card to your hand (From your deck or GY) that mentions a matching attribute as 1 of this cards fusion materials in its text.

Dude. Quintet Magician is already good enough as it is. I use it several times and it already wins games on its own
Firewall Dragon Singularity is also Link 6 and it's a huge monster despite not being as good as pre-errata Firewall Dragon.
Tbf pre-errata Firewall Dragon was insane...
I used to run Magician Girls with Lightsworn for Quintet Magician, was a lot of fun
At first I was surprised not to see Rhongo but then I remembered the channel's internal ban list.
Rhongo doesn't qualify for this list anyway. Its material requirement is 2, not 5.
Leaving for am easy link summon of Arrival
Shoutout to quintent magician, the board wipe tough to pulloff but it can help
i love quintet magician! the stars have to align, but when they do, it's a game ender.

Top 10 cards that had restrictions on being used as x material/tribute that became worthless when new cards arrived
I love to Run Barbaroid in my Speedroid deck with Necrofusion

Dragon Master Knight kind of fits the criteria, as it requires 3 BEWD to make the Ultimate Dragon first.
How about Top 10 cards/archetypes that could use “Dragon’s Mirror” but doesn’t, like Shiranui or Dragon link

As a dark magician deck player quintet magician has saved my life way too many times
I was hoping to see red supernova but I knew he wouldn't be here. Still he remains the king to me.
Hence why i run underworld goddess, wins me so many duels against towers type monsters.
@@Big1nz yeah, that and Kaijus are the most consistent way to deal with them.
