I had this single on cassette back when it came out. I was in high school. This has become a “must listen to” classic and is permanently in my Christmas music rotation and played often during the season. Even my mom liked this version and she wasn’t at all into Rock music of that time.

I have a warped picture disc of this song, with Reason for the Season on the other side. Found it at a thrift store for a couple bucks. After setting some heavy stuff on top of it for a while, it's at least playable. Glad to know it's on YT.
I've wanted to hear this for over 20 years. I had the original cassette. Yes, they were a bit poppy for a metal band but I do enjoy a good deal of their heavier songs. This song is hilarious to me and they did a fine job on it.
They would have been really huge if they had come out with their new stuff, including what Mikey has done on his latest two solo albums, one of them with George Lynch, back in the '80's.

Stryper was part of the pretty glam boys scene but they showed that u can look like one but sound like something else.
They weren't a "small" band.
The "In God We Trust" tour was nothing to sneeze at, and "Honestly" was on heavy rotation just about Everywhere.
The guitarist was one of the best in the business. They were a heavy band as far as glam rock bands.

I have the Vinyl 12 inch single also, but when it comes to cd I always seem to find the "Live" version and the "studio" version is much better.
