I have the biggest smile on my face right now. I'm so happy to see you guys get into Survivor straight away. It'll take a bit longer, but the side quests (which you don't really learn about until a bit later) are 100% worth it in this game.
One of the greatest sequel glow ups of all time, one of my favorite games this console generation
Cal’s story in these two games have been better than a lot of the recent live action things. I was a huge fan of the force unleashed growing up but these two jedi games actually surpassed force unleashed for me due to how locked in I was for the narrative of fallen order and Jedi survivor.
Bro these games are the best of Disney Star Wars the characters are great and the story is great actually feels like Star Wars the rest other then rogue one is fucking garbage.
Ruff, my man, PARRY! It's a core game mechanic, please learn to do it.

Yessss.... Please, take your time tho, and do some side stuff in this one, its worth it. You can discover some big "hidden" locations with mini bosses etc.
For miniguners, use dual blade and hold the block button like a regular blaster, but hold it and you will deflect all shots.
Let's go! So excited for this playthrough, this is one of my favorite games of all time.
I love that you guys mentioned the thing about Star Wars tech because it's one of the main reasons why I love SW. It's not all perfectly clean, tidy, and shiny. There's rust, wires and cables, everything is dirty and messy, and that makes the universe feel so real and lived in.
You guys missed some dialogue, it's not his kid who's dead, it's his wife lol.
This game is longer than Fallen Order. Survivor has A LOT of side content, if you just focus on the story I'd say you can do it in 17-20 hours but the side quests are so worth it, I definitely recommend doing all of them.
Also, whenever there was a fight I was screaming at the screen "PARRY!!!!" lmao why are you making this so much harder for yourself man!!!
There goes Mr. Ruff forgetting to parry again. 😂😂 But yeah I'm glad that they improved on the combat and animations for the Force echoes/crate opening as well as making Cal even stronger rather than re-learning anything and refining the customization and combat styles/upgrades. Btw Joe if u hold down L1 in the double bladed stance while deflecting a single blaster shot every other shot gets deflected back so that u don't have to continuously block each shot 1 by 1.
Waiting ofr him to learn that Force Pull+Saber attack is the most satisfying way to kill those low level stormtroopers
I find that the "Future" tech in Star Wars works because it's a 1960-70s interpretation of the future.
A lot of it is stuff we already have today, and in some cases, much better stuff. Lets take the mouse droid (The small RC car looking box from episode 4) for example, its purpose is to transfer data from one terminal to another, its quite literally a USB memory stick or SD card.
You're missing someone, shame was hoping to see all three of you and I hope you do continue this game. Ok now onto the "well actually" part of my post I'll be giving some information and advice but NO SPOILERS so don't worry about that.
1) With Bode you were talking and missed him saying that his wife was taken by the empire then assumed it was his daughter. He's doing this to support her after his wifes death.
2) When you get the dialogue choices like with the senator you need to hit left or right on the d-pad to choose an option before time runs out or it just defaults to the left option. There are a few semi-hidden places where you can use mind trick if you try as well as set points you must to progress like the senator in addition to regular dialogue points.
3) Take a look at the force and survival perks some of the force ones in particular are very useful to buy in this game.
4) when you're on a zipline with BD1 using R1 and L1 wil change your speed functioning as a brake and accelerator.
5) When dealing with probe droids force pull can bring them down to your level for easy hitting.
6) This is something I didn't realize till new game + especially as you buy more abilities it will become more common to have a button do different things if you press or hold it. For example triangle is a force boosted attack as long as you have some, if you press (tap) it you will do that spinning strike but now since you unlocked it holding it down will make you do the lunging attack.
7) What Misana was doing in the final fight was force evade I believe holding circle will allow you to do the same as long as you have force energy left. It needs to be bought in survival skills but I believe it applies to all stances.
I love this game. Explore. Upgrade. Different style using a lightsaber. Good story.
Yeah, the 20 minute speedruns are with clipping through the map. In fact, there's a clip you can do that you can use to trigger unlocking the last planet, which is what makes it go so fast. The glitchless runs are about 3-4 hours depending on the platform.
This is without question one of my 2 favorite games of all time. Can't wait to see the journey
I'm a little worried they'll ignore this in favour of Black Myth given they just finished fallen order and that's a whole new game.
Of course the first thing you do is immediately run straight and jump off the edge! 🤣🤣🤣
BD-1 is my favorite droid on all of Star Wars followed by Chopper. I love R2 and 3PO, but there's just something about BD and Chop that I love more. 🧡 💜

Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but this game takes place five years after Fallen Order. There was a book that sorta tells what the crew been up to during that timeline. Don't bother with the book tho, it sucked A$$!

This is kinda wild cause I had gotten this game when it came out, but Tears of the Kingdom also came out then so I ended up playing that and getting distracted. But about a week ago I started playing this game and today I see this lmao
I gotta say I absolutelly love that Fallen Order recap, cinematic masterpiece and the soundtrack is going crazy.
I have platinum trophy from Survivor and IMO its far better than Fallen Order. Story lacks a bit but its still very solid. Fallen Order was 7 and Survivor is 8.5/10 in my opinion. May return to it later since you reminded me 😂

How is Ruff so bad at fighting the minigun troopers? All you have to do is hold block and deflect all the lasers back at them.
Because he never deviated from where the story told him to go in the first game, so he got the double-bladed saber super late and never learned how to properly utilize it against stormtroopers.
Y’all should definitely check out The Force Unleashed next! Incredible story

If you want to go back to older good Star Wars definitely try the KOTOR games. PC too so they're easy to play and can even be modded with better graphics

See the whole stamina thing I don't mind, but with Cal being a Jedi that enemies like the Stormtroopers who have normal guns shouldn't affect the stamina bar.
Why I think that is because as a Jedi one would be physically stronger due to the force itself even without using abilities to enhance themselves; not saying that it shouldn't be a thing but I feel like those with the machine guns & other special guns should be the only ones able to affect the stamina bar due to having more power behind them.
As for mele aka physical enemies attacking, I do think since they're physically hitting it should be a small amount since the Jedi would be stronger, though it'd be cool if for physically bigger enemies with special weapons took a decent chunk of the stamina bar, but also a small part of the force bar & way more when using a heavy attack.
Mainly to show something along the lines of "Oh ok, this guy's way stronger than the other enemies, guess I'll have to put a little more effort."

Yes and those are the same. People care less and less with every part that is put out. If there’s already not much interest in a part 1 then every consecutive part will struggle further
Again we’ve been busy and the video didn’t do that well. It’s not a priority. Hell Detroit become human did over 3x what this did and we still haven’t gotten around to that yet. That will absolutely be a priority over this. Will I get to this game? Probably, Is it a priority? Absolutely not

You guys should definitely play Star Wars The Force Unleashed after this since Cal isnt canon the MC in that game isnt canon either but still has a super cool story and the game makes you feel insanely powerful.

Cal and the events of this game and Fallen Order are most definitely canon tho.
They half assed through the Episode III movie tie in game only did a couple co op missions. Didn't play the full game or unlock any of the MANY bonus content and characters including the alternative ending. Bad from Sorta Stupid..bad form.
